Packers vs Eagles watch party

all right let's do this we got a little Friday Night Lights action here in the NFL in Brazil of all places ah I have been fired up for this game for a very very long time I said last night that this is the international game that I was looking forward to the most and I think we're going to be in for a good one here tonight I really excited it's the Eagles and the Packers in Brazil I think that these are two of the most fascinating teams in the NFL there's a lot of questions that I want answered I need my answers right now I've been waiting so so long to see these two teams play we're about 15 minutes away from that so feel free to say hi if you're popping on in I know it's a Friday night it's on peacock so it's a bit of a different setup I've never done a stream on a Friday before I don't think so pretty excited about that but look at that we already got par champ in here and Christine in here let's go peir champ and Christine in the Stream PE champ saying hey Doc big game go Pat go this is a big game right here this could be a tone Setter for both of these teams both these teams playoff expectations maybe even more than just simply making the playoffs right both these teams made the playoffs last year and lot of talent out on the field I I I'm just so excited for this one but I'll get to my pick here in a minute I think you might like it I think you might like it that's love how about it how about it Christine and I facing off against each other in one of our fantasy leagues uh first time I believe this is your first time playing fantasy ever right Christine if I'm not mistaken and she's also in the pick them Challenge and shout out to Christine for starting off one and0 she picked the Chiefs last night so yeah great game counting down we got what maybe 13 minutes till kickoff no delay today thank goodness oh they really made us wait 20 extra minutes last night but it was worth the wait man I was thinking about that this morning I woke up I was like that really just happened right like that was an unbelievable game that was so much fun and hopefully that'll just set the tone for the entire season but we've got a little bit of time here let's dive into this matchup again Eagles Packers two of the bigger bigger teams in the NFC uh you know I did my preseason prediction stream about a week ago and I remember I picked the Eagles in that and you know I really do think that the Eagles have a great chance to win this game I really do I like that they might have a revamped Run game bringing in saquin Barkley Kell Moore as the new offensive coordinator like they should be doing a lot of different stuff it's not just going to be inside Zone at a shotgun the entire time they do lose Kelsey but I'm very high on this offense as also game solved is in here given a little wave Welcome to the stream game solve good to have you in here excited for this one but I am honestly fairly high on this Eagles team I know that there are a few question marks I know that they had the big crash out last year right I know they're probably not going to be quite as good as they were in 2022 but I liked the off season that they had they replaced both their coordinators which excuse me might be a bit of a learning curve to that right there always is Eagles of all people should know that had to replace their coordinators the year before and it was a disaster but they bring in some more serious talents at the offensive defensive coordinator spot bringing in Kell Moore to replace Brian Johnson and then Vic fangio over the duo of sha Desai and Matt Patricia I mean that was just there's nowhere to go but up from that right the Eagles defense was a big problem with how poorly their secondary played Darius SLE kind of started to show his age James Bradberry really showed his age but they draft quinan Mitchell they draft Cooper de jeene right they bring back CJ Gardner Johnson okay just some better players and there and the pass rush still looks pretty good I really like Bryce Huff a lot nice signing there even though they lost toan reic honestly I don't know I think they might have broke even with that exchange but good defense anything for clicks is in here too welcome back anything for clicks good to have you in here it's been a while but good to have you back in here man I remember like last last year around this time we were watching an eagles Prime Time game on a weekday that was the Vikings Eagles Thursday night game so welcome back to the stream anything for clicks let's go anyways that's my long-winded way of saying I like the eagles a lot however and we said this a lot last year man didn't we the spine of the defense especially the secondary CJ Gardner Johnson coming back is a big deal but I sat and thought on it a little more right who do I think is going to win this game I got to switch it up and go with the Packers man I'm looking at this Eagles defense right now their linebackers are Zack Bond and noobe Dean Devin white one of the guys they brought in is out for this game they still got Reed blankin ship playing free safety he's going to be getting some serious snaps I just think Matt lefur has something diabolical plan for them today you know I really thought this was going to be a close game even when I picked Philly but I sat un thought on it for a week I'm switching up I'm going with the Packers I do think we're going to be in for a good close game but I just think this Green Bay offense is going to be a little bit too much Matt laflor is just too good of a coach to not just exploit the crap out of the Eagles weakness at linebacker and safety and you know the Packers have a good running game in their own right too so I don't know there I do have a few questions about this Packers new look defense right they bring in their new defensive coordinator Jeff Halley runs a lot of cover one lot of single high safety don't really say that a whole lot and doing that against the Eagles with AJ Brown and Devonte Smith is going to be a bold tactic we'll see how much he's going to commit to that tonight and that's what I'm really excited about right like this this Packers defense is going to be so interesting to watch how are they going to play I feel like for the most part we know what we're going to get from this Packers offense they do have like all the wide receivers and the question is like oh who's going to be the number one but like you know what Matt laflor is going to bring to the table this defense is a bit of a wild card though there is a lot of Talent on their defense they've just never quite been able to play up to that Talent level so we'll see we got Michael and Ry nasty in here too let's go welcome to the stream you guys good to have you in here Michael saying Philly bllogs baby hey yeah that that Georgia to Philly pipeline goes crazy I thought for sure they were going to sign Louis after he got waved I even made a tweet joking about that right like oh recognizable name and he was a Georgia Bulldog Howie roseman's on the phone right now but no he's a bill instead but yeah a lot of Georgia players even after they lost DeAndre Swift Just Hey ncoe Dean is starting today noobe Dean is starting we'll see how he does and Ryan ay saying Devon white being out is something I expected as a bucks fan yeah you know he's he's had quite the roller coaster poer career and that playoff run in 2020 was so legendary but he's kind of a highlight Hooper at linebacker he make some sick plays he's a great Blitzer but he's one of those guys you just don't want going backwards in coverage right you do not want Devon white and coverage that's a little scary anything for clicks saying 30 to 17 Eagles all right some confidence in the birds here we go all right 30 to 17 that would be a fantastic result for Philly I think if the Eagles can win this game by two scores they're feeling great going into the season P champ saying he just wants to see how the defense can handle the Eagles yeah I mean again it's going to be these Corners versus these receivers is going to be such an interesting matchup if they are going to play all that single high and we'll see how Xavier mckin their new safety might handle that responsibility too so again they have the talent like we've seen speaking of Bulldogs we've seen good football from Eric Stokes that hasn't always been consistent right like he's been injured some he's had some good stretches and some bad stretches but we've seen good football from him we know jier Alexander can be a really really good player right we know rwn Gary is a great player he just needs to stay healthy but he's healthy right now Kenny Clark is still a guy Devonte Wyatt is an intriguing guy at defensive tackle another Bulldog you know the Packers kind of like their Bulldogs too don't they the more you really think about it especially on defense but Javon Bullard another Bulldog but yeah I feel like the two units in this game that saw the most change were definitely the Eagles offense well I don't want to say the Eagles offense changed more than their defense but the Packers defense for sure is going to be looking so much different compared to the Joe Barry days right just a very soft scheme I guess is the best way to put it right you're just playing guys back it's a lot of Zone lot of two High not necessarily bad but the way they did it just drove people nuts right it just drove people insane but there is Talent there's just so many good players right if you want to play a game of count the good players there's a lot of good players on the field here tonight oh it's going to be a good one Ryan NY saying you do not want him in coverage referring to uh Devin white yeah and you know like when he played next to lante David man that just made his life so much easier right like the lante David will just make you right no matter what you can be a bit of a riskier player when you've got like in my opinion a Hall of Famer in lante David over right next to you at linebacker and Todd Bulls did some nasty nasty things with him but the fallof has been quite something for Devin white but yeah the Eagles linebackers man I'm just not the biggest fan you know they're one of those teams that really rode the wave of like linebackers don't matter and it kind of came back to bite him in the butt last year uh that was a big reason why their defense struggled this was the 29th defense in defense of EPA last year they they had some terrible games but the pass rush still looks pretty good you want to talk about a good on good matchup right here how about this Eagles pass rush versus this Packers offensive line oh man hey Bryce Huff is gonna have a nice test right away and Jaylen Carter and Jordan Davis the two big dogs up front right Milton Williams Brandon Graham joshh sweat that's pretty good that's pretty good and you know Vic fangio's there now right so I'm looking right now at the Eagles depth chart it's saying base three4 defense I mean that that sounds about right for fangio Makai beckon new guard and obviously no Jason Kelce such a big deal it I mean like I said last week they lost their best player he was absolutely their best player he was so important to what they did so oh that's just what's so much fun about these first games right is just like you know there's just so much to learn there's so much to see you've been waiting all offseason to see some of these changes take place sequan is playing his first game as an eagle I feel like we've barely even talked about that there's just so much to see I'll talk about saquin in a second though I see a good question here from game solved saying do I have any opinions about the Eagles players being reluctant to go to Brazil I mean I get that like the travel stinks right and like I bet you a lot of players don't like any International game like you know the Vikings have a London game in week five I bet they're not thrilled about it it I guess this one there's not that big of a time zone difference right it's just like two hours but you still have to get on that 9h hour flight and it's not your home stadium and especially if you're the Eagles right like technically this is your home game that you're kind of losing out on I get that I will say there have been some crazy Brazil takes out there just a lot of misinformation like no one's going to get shot in Brazil it's okay like the players aren't going to have their hotel room overrun by gangs like I don't know there was just some crazy stuff that was going around on Twitter that was just blatant misinformation but the Eagles I mean like the eagles like they weren't like saying that it was just like the aggregator accounts on Twitter whatever but the Eagles are just like ah we have to travel all this way I get it you lose a home game I mean that's legit right the vik lose a home game not to make it every not to make everything about the Vikings but like I even as a fan was like man why do we have to lose our home game to go to London but it's it's pretty cool that Brazil gets a game you know right like this is the first NFL game ever I think the atmosphere is going to be rocking I think we're going to have an awesome crowd rake Gareth saying yeah it's crazy ignorant I'm with you man it's crazy game s saying you got any fantasy players in this game he's got AJ Brown I tell you what I've got Josh Jacobs and I believe either two or three of my five leagues I really really like Josh Jacobs this year I really like Josh Jacobs behind this Packers offensive line I mean we'll talk about how saquon's running behind maybe the best line of his life so is Josh Jacobs and again just Matt laflor man I trust him to cook up a running game I just do I just trust him so much so I've got him I've got AJ Brown in one of my leagues too and I think I have Devonte Smith maybe in one of my leagues I'm trying to remember but lot of Josh Jacobs for me in fantasy tonight and one league with AJ Brown and by the way welcome to the stream rake Gareth I remember you in here last week too the Falcons fan right if I'm not mistaken hey I don't think they'll draft a fullback but we'll see p champ is asking he's curious about how Jaylen Herz rushing touchdown his production his impacted with no Kelce and saquan being rb1 does Jaylen become more of a passing quarterback well I think he'll be more of a passing quarterback in the sense that I think that Kell Moore is just going to be such an upgrade over what they were doing with Brian Johnson last year I mean he's going to they're going to be doing a lot more motion right let's get these good receivers on the Move let's make things a little bit easier so I do think that that's going to help out I think as far as tush push they're still going to try it right even no Kelsey like they're still probably going to try it they've been planning for a few years now life without Kelsey so I think he'll still get a lot of of rushing touchdowns I don't know about like 15 or whatever he got last year but I could see like 10 11 I think he'll probably get one tonight Eagles hey I'm with you I I revised my standings predictions I posted them on Twitter I like the eagles enough I think a lot of it is just like they have a decent looking schedule I have the Packers as the number one seed in the NFC which might be crazy and I still have the Lions as my Super Bowl pick but I'm taking the Packers to win the north I think this team is so good I really do I'm stupidly high on the Packers Eagles are posers they were last year I think they'll be a little bit better this year oh man nice play by Zack Bond there he heard me talking crazy about him earlier during pregame I was like uhoh eagles have Zack Bon at linebacker good play by him though look at that another third and long they're going to go quick that's the Aaron Rogers special rips it over the going to trust this offense to go get you a bucket here who do they go to they've been going to Watson some early Christian Watson was their most targeted guy when he was healthy last year like on a per game basis flag is that a false start yeah that's got to be a false start gonna get Zack Tom on that I think man what has this drive been so many penalties we had what could have been a touchdown yeah now they're not going to go for it right on Fourth and 11 man but you're in kind of a tough spot because ah can you kick it from there fourth and 11 everyone but the center yeah yeah they are going to punt it oh that's brutal yet a few nice plays there but you'll end up punting it away ref is lame all right hey good start for this new look Eagles defense right it looked like you might have given up a big play but you're able to get off the field oh that's a nice punt All Right Here Comes This Eagles offense now the Kell Mor we might see the eagles dare I say get under Center we might see them dare I say send people in motion stuff that they like just didn't do at all last year but exciting starts Packers not able to get points that's that's that's nice for the Eagles right you get that possession Advantage now for this first half few close calls but yeah hey I was hyping up Josh Jacobs three carries three yards on that first drive that was was that was a big difference maker right there Eagles played the run really well right there to start things off Green Bay trying to establish the run a little bit but just couldn't quite get it there on that first drive all right let's see some saquan Barkley on the Eagles you know I still think saquin Barkley has got a lot of good football left in him and I thought he ran as well as he could have last year on that pretty poor Giants team so you put him in a much better offense right not even just the line is better even after losing Kelce you know the line is still obviously really good you've still got Jordan myada you've still got Landon Dickerson you've still got Lane Johnson right some really really good blockers and you've just got like better overall balance like you have a quarterback that defenses are going to respect a little bit more you have two legit wide receivers that can kind of take the top off the defense so he might get the best looks of his career and I still think he's an electric Runner I think he could be in line for a great season I do have in one of my fantasy leagues I forgot about that until now I do have him excuse me I do have him in one of my fantasy leagues game solved good question who do I believe is the better QB in this game I really do think it's Jordan love I really do like you know I think Jaylen Herz is pretty good he's a great Runner and honestly he's a better passer than a lot of people give him credit for but Jordan love is just I just think he's different like I know it was like a shorter stretch of games for him last year and the sample size is smaller but some of the things he did like that's not fluky that's not lucky that's not the scheme like that's just him making plays that very few guys can make he I like the way that Steven Ruiz described him you know step ruiz's quarterback rankings can be a little bit divisive and I don't always agree with them but I like his writeups and he described Jordan love as like a dude with the arm of Aaron Rodgers and the mind of Brett Farve a little bit but man like when it works it works you know I just think he's such a good quarterback they've got an offense tailored perfectly to him with all these receivers Matt LeFleur is such a good coach he's a lot of fun to watch there's a reason that I'm like all in on Jordan love this year look at that first play Eagles are under Center you did not see that very much last season with Philly they're going to toss it oh saquan fell oh the turf monster got him man sequin fell stupidity says it's only a matter of time before Rogers goes to end his career with the Vikings and 10 years later love signs with the Jets wouldn't that be something man could you imagine history repeats itself that would be pretty funny all right now it's second and 15 after the running play Eagles are kind of in the shadow of their own goalpost Herz has a nice clean pocket and it's played pretty well tried to go to AJ Brown there swarm of Packers there there's been a little bit of feistiness early on in this game I like it I like the attitude between these two sides so it's third and 15 15 now I mean if you're the Eagles you just want to avoid a disaster right I mean obviously getting the first down would be nice but don't put too much dip on your chip here just get some yards make it an easier punt probably oh they are going to go for it Hurtz oh it's picked off and that's why you don't do that that's why you don't do that it's intercepted oh the Packers are going to take over in the Red Zone man he just tried to get too much there tried to rip it over the seam to Devonte Smith and it was swallowed up immediately I want to see the replay on this to see what the Packers were doing on the back end but man like I know like yeah obviously you want to try and get the first down but that is what might happen when you try and get it all look at Quay Walker s kind of just like step in and then man Quay Walker kind of Walled off there that was dangerously close to Pi but I don't mind the no call right there I feel like that's a clean enough play and wow picked off it was Xavier mckin on his debut hey that was a big signing for the Packers terrible start for the Eagles yeah that's rough I mean the Packers string together a few first downs on their first drive then they forced what would have been a three and out but they get a pick instead they're taking over at the 19 loving the empty shotgun Here Comes The Blitz though oh they're going to get him that's a big sack right there on first down and look at that it's Zack Bond again Zack bond has been making plays so far man that's a big sack right there right you got to hold them to three to put them behind the chains on first down interesting to like go on empty on first down and 10 near the Red Zone and you get sacked oh no what is this game what on Earth is this game it's Jaylen Carter with the personal foul unnecessary roughness what the heck is going on out here man the Eagles just or the yeah the Eagles just gave the Packers a gift right there oh if you could have got him second and long and tried to hold them to three now it's first and 10 and they're that much closer all because of a silly mistake there's Jacobs still nowhere to go for Josh Jacobs this Eagles defense has been ready for the run so far so what is it exactly from Carter oh yeah maybe Zack Tom sold it a little bit but you know that you can't be doing that right and yeah that's just that's just a mental mistake you know it's his second year in the league now you can't really be doing that second and 10 though this Eagles run defense has been balling out so far now they're going to go back to single back play action under Center love nothing tried to go out in the flat to Luke Musgrave and another flag another flag and this one's going to be on the Packers what are we doing here holding the penalty did bail them out but man they're going to try and just do whatever they can yeah love did slip he's trying to do the little fade away right there man we've got some questionable grasp already we saw saquin slip love slip and man that's scary you see love or saquin go like that you think man you just hope everyone gets out of this game Healthy Man the grass the grass is not ideal right now it's a little slippery oh it's dropped it's dropped was that davien Wix and he got rocked right there the refs are not happy with these teams right now the football gods are not happy with these teams they're trying to Smite them with the grass and the turnovers and the penalties this is a very cursed game so far third and 20 now you feel like the Packers after seeing the Eagles go into third and long and try and get it I feel like the Packers will be pretty conservative here we might see a draw player a screen here you want to get the first points at this point I mean this has just been a wild six minutes yep there's the screen Jacobs he's not going to get it but you just got to make it a easy easy as possible kick I mean those yards aren't going to make that big of a difference but what a bizarre stretch now watch he's going to miss it he's so Gonna Miss This he's going to slip it's going to be a Charlie Brown moment he's going to slip and miss this kick isn't he Braden nerson kicker wearing 44 that's crazy I kind of love that I love when kickers wear bulky boxy numbers it's good all right we have points in Brazil we have points in Brazil three nothing Packers over the Eagles in what has been a roller coaster but we have points in Brazil man oh is Chris Collinsworth doing the now here's a guy now here's a membership he's making fun of himself a little bit oh man how we feeling about these first few drives though huh I feel like Packers are trying to run the ball they can't Jacobs now four carries for three yards and just that's kind of put them in a lot of third and Longs and then that penalty was just brutal right like again the Eagles kind of able to like dodge a bullet right there but let's see if the Eagles offense can get something going now I feel like their first drive was just kind of doomed from the start with saquin slipping and then you put yourself at second and 15 from like your own four so we haven't seen like a real drive from this Philly offense yet let's see what they got here on Drive number two but they are not looking good so far there's just been mental mistakes silly mistakes this is this is like a classic International game right here you see this a lot like in the London Games or remember the the Patriots Colts Germany game last year like oh that was just disgusting you know just some disgusting football right there that also might have had to do with M Jones and Gardner mchu be in the quarterbacks but yep there's the line slow start for both offenses yeah I mean the Packers at least they had a few nice plays through the air but for the most part hey Eagles are kind of kicking the Packers butt on the line of flag this is the most cursed game I've ever seen holding looks like Jaylen hesitated to go for it yeah oh early snap Man Tucker craft with a holding now let's see yeah uh so now it's first and 20 Packers are in field goal range but man if the Packers get two straight possessions that start in the red zone and Come Away with only six points that's that's pretty rough first and 20 there's Reed in motion again we're going to see that a lot tonight just set it up to him yards after catch oh nice hurdle right there nice little leap by Jaden Reed stupidity asking if we've gotten a first down yet we yes we did get one love ripped a nice little out route to Romeo dos for like 20 yards maybe it was like a third and six and they picked it up on the first drive I believe that's the only first seem to be targeting Christian Watson a lot and he was Jordan Love's most targeted receiver when he did play last year but also Jaden Reed I mean he's the guy that they get the most creative with right they could get him involved in the running game some on those jet sweeps those Ender rounds right they do that a lot with him I really like davien Wicks I think he's such a great route Runner and like Romeo dos is a really Dependable outside receiver big X receiver so they just have such a fascinating mix they all do different jobs again I don't want to cop out and say they're all going to be pretty equal but I guess if I did have to pick one I might say Watson cuz he's the he's the most explosive he has maybe the most raw talent and they have they have been looking his way a lot so far Green Bay converts on fourth down for three points yeah that's brutal right I mean again two straight drives you start off in the Red Zone thanks to turnovers and you're up six to nothing this is a one- score game the Eagles can go down score touchdown and take the lead if you're Green Bay you're sick to your stomach right now and it's just been penalties and slipping and just silly mistakes and can't run the ball right now yeah and I yeah I mean they they had Watson there on third down they just couldn't quite hook up but at least they did get that fourth down at least cuz if they didn't get it then they'd have zero points but after all that they could have just kicked it anyways I mean there's no way them knowing that but all right Philly take three for you like we've barely seen the get those tough yards he's not really that explosive of Runner and we saw that there you know the Packers played that pretty well but man like I I'm not even try to hate on Jaylen Herz here but you can just see like it's a little bit harder to run that kind of stuff to the perimeter with Herz like he's just not quite as explosive in the open field as like Lamar Jackson but he does do a really good job of using his legs to buy time as a thrower oh Quay Walker crunches Devonte Smith but that's going to be a first down and here we go Eagles picking up some first downs now stupidity says an half of last year right cuz the first half like a big reason why I really think they struggled is this was just a really young team that hadn't really played together a whole lot and there were just so many silly mistakes like penalties and drops or like running the wrong route and stuff and I think that's a big reason why like Jordan love struggled a little bit and this offense struggled and then once they kind of jelled and hit their stride a little bit I mean they were unbelievable down the stretch last year we've seen those glimpses of like wow this is a really good offense we've seen some great drives some great plays but then we've also seen some drives get killed by those same silly mistakes rearing their head so it's just been a mismatch a little bit and you know this is still the youngest team in the NFL so yeah there might be another slight adjustment period but this time like they might be good enough where they can like tread their water a little bit through this this thinking I actually kind of like your thinking Jacobs oh he broke the tackle there all right that's easily the best run of the night for Josh Jacobs again the Eagles were kind of able to break through he's gotten better like in his first two years in the league you know he has a shot he's probably he would probably be like a good like guy to finish top 10 in that award for sure and if he takes they were just running the ball so easily and then they just kept trying to throw it like just go back to Sequin they could have just gone back to saquon there he was cooking on that drive but they there third and five big third down right here this is the classic Dad saying right but this truly is a massive third down if you're Green Bay you really kind of need to get a touchdown here on this drive you're able to get all the way down the field that clock is a factor now with how good saquon's been running it man you don't really feel good if you come away with three here giving the Eagles the ball back and you know you give the the Eagles the ball back all of a sudden they they could probably end the game with a touchdown you really got to try and get a touchdown here what's your best don't know good play by The Eagles there to get some pressure on love man you really got to trust your defense here to get you a stop now right like like the defense has to come through clutch now if you're going to kick it I get it I get it like that's maybe the responsible thing to do but oh man does this become just a massive drive for the Packers D now Eagles touchdown might end this game just with how much time there's left now less than eight minutes left oh that's got a sting to leave some more points on the table think about how this is the third time now they've stalled out in the red zone right like that just it's hard to win a game doing that Packers red zone offense probably needs a little bit of work right going to be probably a big point of emphasis for them in practice have to imagine yeah I do think of the Packers bucks NFC Championship kick the field goal never saw the ball again and to be fair right that was a little bit later in the game but still like lot of faith in the defense here to get a stop stupidity says two field goals get them the lead and they can allow a field goal by the Eagles and still have a chance that is true they can allow a field goal you can hold them to three and it would be extremely unlikely that Phil could kill off the rest of the clock per CH says with how the defense is playing I'm okay with the field goal but the Packers offense should have more points yeah I mean honestly there is a world where Green Bay is winning this game right now you know like they just they just just get a little bit better in the Red Zone this gives me shades of the Rams Lions game in the playoffs a little bit where just like the Rams were really good on offense but they just left so many points on the board in the red zone and like it's not even that like it was a bad decision for them to kick those field goals but they just couldn't find the end zone when they got down inside the 20 so but to your credit Perry champ you know the Packers defense has been a little bit better these past few drives I I don't know I wonder if they just feed saquan and AJ Brown here and just say all right our two best players take us home oh man
