well a rainfall warning is in effect again today across parts of the greater Toronto area heavy rain yesterday caused flooding in neighboring mississaga for more on this we're joined by cbc's Albert deala so Albert what's the latest on the flooding situation in msaga well Natasha that uh that warning right now for more rainfall comes amid soggy conditions already in the Toronto area following all of that rainfall yesterday and I'll show you some of those scenes uh as you say uh in Miss Saga uh uh and you see that scene right there where firefighters actually helped rescue a stranded pedestrian who was clinging to a light standard there near the city limits with Toronto uh so some scary scenes for uh that person certainly the downpour caused localized flooding in a number of areas in the city of Toronto or the city of missa rather actually says it got up to 138 mm of rain yesterday so just an incredible amount and that all creeks and rivers there were either at capacity or overflowing uh into parks and green spaces there uh some Vehicles as you can see were were also uh submerged at least nine roads and intersections there uh were uh were submerged uh uh uh were were closed rather because of those dangerous uh uh conditions uh so so just a lot of flooding people were contending with uh the city uh says flooding has generally receded now and that all roads have reopened Pearson International Airport says the weather caused flight diversion and delays and it posted on social media that it's recommending that anyone with flights today they should check on the status of their flights before heading to the airport all this comes after some of those scenes you saw just a bit ago and that was uh about a month ago when heavy rainfall led to a lot of flooding in Toronto and uh and uh led to some similar scenes so all of this coming after all of that and the warning today says the rain could be Heavy at times including flooding
