Weston we're here we made it to South America from sa Paulo Brazil Packers Eagles time for final [Music] thoughts Weston what's at stake Michael it is beautiful in South Paulo and unlike London two years ago I actually slept last night the Green Bay Packers are handling this thing very well but at the end of the day it still is week one and the Packers are facing a very game opponent in the Philadelphia Eagles you have to take care of business right out of the game absolutely two playoff teams from a year ago you don't know what this game is going to mean you mentioned London two years ago I want to bring up bad memories but that wasn't such a good trip and it started a losing streak for the Packers a lot goes into these International games you got to figure out how to win them and get back home feeling good all right Wes who's heating up presented by auror heated apparel Christian Watson Mike this is a guy that not only put in a lot of work this off season to be 100% healthy and ready for the regular season he also has a really storyed past against the Philadelphia Eagles if you think back to his rookie season in 2022 the 60 plus yard touchdown that he caught from Jordan love not only kickstarted Love's career but in a lot of ways kind of kickstarted the big play making ability of Watson look for him to come out in this game and make a couple of those yeah and I'll go on the defensive side of here and talk about a guy making his Packers debut in week one here and that's Xavier McKenna at safety the Packers completely revamped the safety position you'll have a rookie starting alongside him but that revamp vamping was headlined by Xavier mcken the top free agent safety on the market and he's going against his old teammate saquin Barkley from the Giants is in the backfield he's going to have to tackle his old pal in this game on Friday night W I say the Packers win this game if they get their playaction game going on offense and that means getting Josh Jacobs going I just mentioned a guy making his Packers debut coming off the free agent Market well Josh Jacobs is doing the same thing on offense he's going to be a big part of this thing with Jordan love and Company if they can get Jacobs going that play action starts to work it could really keep the Eagles defense on its heels absolutely Mike and for me the Packers win this game if they get takeaways if you look at what happened at the end of last season for the Philadelphia Eagles one of their big undoings were the amount of giveaways that they had Jaylen Herz ended up with 20 of them all told the Green Bay Packers are starting a new chapter here with Jeff Halley and we get to see what it looks like here in Brazil they've been aggressive they've been focused and now they finally get to put it to work all right and with that we will sign off on this edition of final thoughts be sure to follow all of our coverage of Friday night's season opener from Sal Pao will have it for you on packers.com and on all of your social media channels thanks for watching Everybody enjoy the ball game
