issues related to freedom of speech she says she stands for freedom of speech and yet as we've seen time and time again her and Joe Biden have taken actions both directly and indirectly to censor the privilege of using those words in that way should probably be taken from him should probably be taken from him not quite sure Dana Bash and CNN was ready to be mounted by Tulsi gabber in this interview let's take a gander debate here with me now is former congresswoman tulsy gabber thank you so much for being here vice president Harris's campaign manager released a memo this morning saying they expect former president Trump to be a quote formidable opponent on the debate stage do you think KLA Harris will be a formidable opponent as well and how is the former president preparing to debate her yeah I think KLA Harris has a lot of experience she is not to be underestimated uh president Trump and vice president KLA Harris have very different records this is a unique situation where we have two candidates who have served at the highest offices in the land president Trump four years as president kamla Harris now almost four years as vice president working alongside President Biden and so this will be an opportunity for voters to look at and compare and contrast those records uh that's a good one isn't it they do have very different records I had fat wallet under Trump my wallet got really thin under Biden Harris seems like I'm going into forever Wars inflation reduction act the green New Deal she admits it's very different record it's a good point she slides that in I don't think Dana Bash knew what she had coming there if if I can be helpful to president Trump in anyway it really is just in Sharing experience that I had with her on that debate stage in 2020 and frankly helping to point out some ways that KLA Harris has already shown that she is trying to move away from her record move away from her positions and how that contradicts the positions and statements that she is making now that she is the Democratic nominee and it is a remarkable situation in that you are uh a uh Democrat who debated her at a Democratic primary and now you are helping the Republican uh nominee to debate her and on that I remember in 2020 you attacked Harris for being too aggressive as a prosecutor which is the opposite from what Donald Trump is saying about her as weak on crime so which is it wow she's trying to set her up and tulsy gabber to sharpen this I wasn't a big Tulsa fan but now I think I'm becoming one she has she's prepared good spokesperson for Trump wait for this what I pointed out in that debate stage in the 2020 campaign was her hypocrisy it was how she was saying one thing and doing another how she was Prosecuting people for for smoking marijuana and laughing about it when she was asked about it on a radio show and I think this goes to the heart of many of these different issues that we're seeing now that KLA Harris is is trying to hide from voters is how she says her position is one thing but her actions and her record show exactly the opposite and you can point to that issues related uh to the economy issues related to freedom of speech she says she stands for freedom of speech and yet as we've seen time and time again her and Joe Biden have taken actions both directly and indirectly to censor Free Speech uh most recently I can point to my own experience of this of how the Harris Biden Administration have added me to a secret domestic Terror watch list the very day after comma Harris was endorsed by Joe Biden and I was on TV and warning the American people about what I saw as the dangers of a comma Harris presidency taking action that was clearly political retaliation they've done this to a lot of different people which points to how dangerous it is to have people in power so willing to abuse that power to go after political opponents I uh I'm not familiar with the secret Terror watch list we're definitely going to follow up on that but I do want I'm not familiar with that Harris has come out and said we need to censor Twitter we need to Mark Zuckerberg came out and said the Biden Harris Administration forced me to censor during 2020 with the cough about Ukraine probably multiple things we need know about she said did a video here on the exact topic Paris like no no no there's not free speech but controlled speech we need fact Checkers right you have that you don't know what is real we'll tell you what's real it's like new speak and 1984 want to move on to what is happening with regard to controversy after the former president visited Arlington National Cemetery this week his campaign took photos and video uh of him in section 60 where Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are buried used it in a campaign video the Army also says that Trump stappers abruptly pushed aside a cemetery official who tried to enforce Arling rules prohibiting political activities I know you were uh with Trump at least earlier in that day at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier did you witness the altercation at section 6 60 no uh I was there from the the beginning with the laying of the wreath with the family members the gold star family members and and some of the survivors of that terrorist attack uh in that disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan I was with them at section 60 and what I saw was a very grave and somber remembrance and honoring of those lives that were lost and I saw president Trump spending time at the invitation of these gold star families with them he was there for a few hours I did not see orar about any kind of altercation until something came out in the news later on I'm not sure CNN playing for this Gabbert is prepared she weaves in the words that isas worth withdrawal he was invited what do you do if goldar family invites you you say no I can't go he's going in his personal capacity yes he's running the same time he was invited and we saw that video here today if I didn't was live stream video I can't remember all the families I think I had six or eight of them on said we invited president Trump to come we'd like to hear from Biden Harris about it maybe a letter maybe something but they didn't get anything they're trying to distance themselves from that Hera said she was the last one in the room on the Afghanistan Patrol If you haven't seen that that's what she said and now she's standing by it and I don't think anybody left right or in the middle thinks it was a good thing do you families were there uh grieving alongside president Trump and and it was a very special moment to really remember their names remember their memories and understand the true cost of War and the consequences of the decisions that K Harris and Joe Biden made in the execution of that withdrawal yeah and it is very clear that the former president was invited in his personal capacity as you said by uh a a family of uh one of the service members who was killed so why you reporting that he was using as a political tool cudu his personal capacity he was invited but they they've been reporting you Google this Trump gos our families one article Fox will come up as positive the rest are all negative taken away from the issue which is he was invited by people watching in a buz saww in Afghanistan created by Biden Harris that's just the facts they could have said we made a grave mistake we should have planned better maybe people could go on from it families ain't moving on from it about about two years ago during the withdrawal from Afghanistan it was years ago years ago the question is about whoa she's got a mic in her ear this is asash 2 years ago they don't care 2 three one five doesn't matter to them two years ago three years ago whatever can you believe this is people these are the people you're supposed to listen to like mik binski said morning cup of joe we tell you what to think you don't think on your own two years ago that's what it was that's real news and this is the best you're going to get right here CNN controls and air you may say you don't watch it they're on every airport they have a big machine to pump out content and they and MSNBC every News Network hates Trump the federal law and Arlington's rules that prohibit partisan or political activities at National cemeteries and um the military uh and also other members of other families who are buried right near there are upset about the campaign filming it and posting the video online do you believe that was appropriate you know I checked at the campaign on this question and uh they have exchanges with the the officials at Arlington Cemetery they were approved to bring a camera there to document this historic and momentous day that should not be forgotten by any American and to have a former president there and joining these gold star families I know president Trump wanted to share that with others especially given the fact that President Biden Harris I heard were were invited by some of these family members they not only didn't come they didn't even respond to that invitation and and now to have KLA Harris put this statement out yesterday saying that she stands with these families she stands with the military and with veterans you only have to look at the response that came from the gold star families of these 13 service members of how offended they were by that statement given she has not made any effort not on that third anniversary or any other time to call them directly to offer her condolences and even apologies for their decisions that led to the loss of their loved ones do you think that the campaign will release that communication that you're talking about because the Army uh is very clearly that that was that they broke the rules uh because it was clearly put out online pictures video meant as a part of his campaign she just said it was in personal capacity but I don't think they were a paired for This Dana Bash gets roasted the content of this the takeaway Dana's not prepared at all two years 3 years 10 years we don't know tulsy weaves in and out we got a stark distinction between the two we had one four years one three and a half years biomics policy and you Afghanistan Ukraine the list is long the Gaff machine I I thought they already had I was informed that uh they had come to an agreement they could bring a camera there and as far as I know in the public statement I've seen from the Army is that the matter is closed I think the matter is closed about the altercation alleged altercation which you didn't see but I'm not sure it's closed with the idea that uh they seem to have broken the rules and perhaps even federal law by putting out the campaign video I want to ask you about here I just like to say one one last thing on this because I think it's important and I've seen a lot of the the headlines and the stories federal law now too another one maybe 35 felonies prison for life plus life plus life my Lord these people you're not catching a break I've seen every politician in Arlington at some point is it political when you're in politics everything's political it's always political right the Joe and Kamala are like nope don't need to go don't care this needs a go away I didn't lose anybody when I was President he said that during the debate did that in the video today here wow and the concerns that people are raising about this but but to me as as a soldier and as someone who has been deployed to different War zones in the world and I have friends who are buried there at section 60 what is more outrageous to me is that there wasn't Universal coverage of the momentous day of the Third ivary of the loss of these 13 gold star families and the outrage that they feel that they that their loved ones are not getting the kind of coverage and memory that their great sacrifice deserves that that is what everyone should be outraged about well yeah bam well I don't think that was scripted it's not what they plan they Dana Bash is not in the same league as telsey clearly in this video in this interview they should have said we should leave this alone we will not promote this we will not cut Clips out of this myus Touch won't talk about this democracy now oh there 13 people those trites we sent off to die eh move on we'll come up with something next time to
