so you're the queen of late night because you're the only one you're the only female light you're the only one there to be Queen by default you are the queen of late night the real question is why aren't there more women in late night yeah I agree it was interesting because I was surprised that so much of the press I did even before the show started after I got the job was like the only woman in late night maybe I'm dumb and I just don't understand PR but I just wasn't expecting that I guess because our show is so silly and fun and like really about letting comedians shine not a traditional late night show to me I wasn't even thinking of myself as a late night host I was like oh I'm going to get to host this fun hangout with stand-up comedians and improvisers and then all these articles came out and I was like oh no is this a bigger deal than I thought like is this more pressure than I thought are you friends with any of the late night people like coar he's the EP of your show do you talk to him often honestly I'm so surprised Steven made himself so available to me he's really just the whole process been like how are you feeling how are you doing do you need anything and then like Conan I had done his show a few times I went on his standup tour he did he is the nicest guy in the world oh my gosh so nice I feel this way about Stephen as well like maybe the funniest people I've ever met like in a way that you're like I thought you were supposed to be different off air like I just you just think like oh they're going to be reserved and and quiet and and just maybe not what you expect and they're exactly did you watch late night shows growing up or that wasn't really your thing I watched Conan yeah I mean I wanted to be on Conan so bad like when I got my first Conan set that was a big moment that I was like oh I might be a comedian now for real
