torches tacos in Rogers Arkansas off of North uh paully and Whitaker Parkway make sure to also sto by the uh MLK location in fville now football season's right I mean we're in the middle of it go the patio they have a huge Bank of TVs where hey guess what you got NFL tonight my friend you know we were talking I I just got off a show two shows I did and I didn't know there was a game tonight and he was talking about Baltimore and Kansas City tonight so yeah get home the second half of it probably so yeah that's good man be something to watch tonight uh Lamar Jack Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes that's two pretty good quarterbacks I don't know if everybody's heard of them or not but no I mean that's really good quarterbacks that may be two two best in the NFL for thought it's certainly two of and also you know think about Baltimore you think about Kansas City you don't think about the running game now you know Kansas City they've got Isaiah Pacho looks like he's going to be a a three down back every every week now or every week now every series um also the Baltimore Ravens kind of beefed up their back field too a little bit this offseason yeah I little bit Derrick Henry yeah I'm that's pretty good yeah I'm looking forward to Sunday night not changing the subject on you but Lions on Sunday night that's gonna be a battle man playoff game last year was a great one oh yeah and I'm looking forward to cam curl and Bo lmer and the chief the Rams getting after it yeah I think it's going to be a great game too uh you you saw the Lions they they they were a sniff away literally a sniff away from the Super Bowl guys on there too yeah you got to be proud of the LI man they were down tried and beaten they were down and out and I tell you what they've done a good job bringing that franchise back and they're respectable now and hey you there's somebody look out for and they're the type team you to pull for too Jason you can pull for them man you know hog F hog fan 40 oce uh turn tuned in NBC right now waiting for the game yeah um good station too it is Nation Oh yeah and make sure to also all Otis's stuff is on PCT Nation you can also uh watch his weekly segment the recruiting report we're going to go over recruiting actually here in just a minute and also all of uh hogville great content with Otis Kevin Dudley also can find that on Kirk's Corner Jon D Jerry yeah yeah myself P yourself on the back you do a good job he had a good prediction story today if you ever it check it out uh he and Dudley got faint of heart and didn't pick the Razer backs but yeah we I'll give him hell about that later on I'm joking no and know I'll be honest with you I mean if I felt like the Razer backs were gonna have have I think they got a decent shot but I think that all Gordon the third Mike Gundy all has to do is run the clock out with that guy and I just don't know if Arkansas's got the the weapons up front and are deep enough to stop Oly Gordon later in the game and that's where my pick came yeah I think they I think Arkansas win by 11 10 points to two touchdowns I really do I don't think it's going to come down then but I could be wrong uh if it is I gotta talk to Maris Robinson kids told me they're gonna win that game I gotta guarantee for him I was gonna say you might have to have a word with cudy yeah I to have a chat with Maris but cudy but no I I think Arkansas win I really do I mean obviously I mean can't Oklahoma State's favored for a reason they're good they're a great team and they probably they're home they should win but I I just got a good feeling about this game we'll see I mean that's why you play the game nobody predict well I ain't gonna say nobody most 99% of people probably didn't predict Florida State to be 0 to right now so you don't you don't know that's why and that's what I said when I made my predictions don't know you don't know Jason the next guy doesn't know the guy called me a media hack doesn't know I mean nobody knows what the record's going to be you know and uh just like Herm Edward says that's why you you play the game exactly man herm's a good guy he autographed my son's big Herm Edwards fan one of my sons and Herm autographed I believe a eight for 10 not something but he autographed something for Otis for his birthday or Christmas here while back or a few years ago not here while back a few years ago many years ago now but but you heard got I got an autograph from him for my for my middle son uh for Otis anyway Otis thei nice um also if you guys have any score predictions throw those Sunday at 11: a.m. for I do believe it's 11 I'll double check with him for the Arkansas uh Diamond report uh you got a foot you got baseball game today you have another one on Saturday he'll be uh on to wrap up all of those day I think so maybe Friday I thought it was tomorrow I think tomorrow Friday and Saturday that's what it think tomorrow yeah Friday and Saturday and so we can pre he can kind of hash out kind of what he saw on the field and um it's going to be a lot of Peace Milling trying to figure out who is what again because you know Dave's flipped that roster as well uh Earthman Otis predicts Arkansas saw to lose to Oklahoma State 35 to7 there ain't no way on God's green earth they will hold Bobby Kino's offense to Seven Points tayen green for that matter and listen I I want to throw something out here before we really kind of get into some recruiting for a moment there there was a certain quarterback that used to play Arkansas and was talking about oh there might be a a quarterback controversy uh I don't see that happening I don't know if he actually truly feels that way or not but let's let's put it out there for a second tayen Green's qb1 there's not there not a lot that is one of the best quarterbacks in the f I don't know what Clint and other people are seeing that I mean the kid played great and uh uh pro football F had him in the top 10 Brady Brady quarterbacks for the first game Kay green quarterback guys I don't know I'm not I don't know what these people are seeing or not seeing but I'm just telling you TL green to play but and you know I had a guy tell me on one shows I did this my fourth show today and a guy tell me that you know you APV and I go back I said you obviously we talking about ton he said was you AP I said obviously you didn't watch the the championship game Mountain West championship game last year or whatever he in the championship game he ran Wild against unlb which was the other good team out there and and Taylor look it doesn't have to be UAP but that's why I don't buy seven points I don't think there's anything can happen that's why you play the game and you Oklahoma State can win but I don't think there's any way they hold arkans on seven points if they if they do I'll be very surprised it wouldn't surprise me if Oklahoma State won I really think Arkansas will but that game could go either way but I don't think they'll hold Arkansas to Seven Points yeah I'm gonna make a strong prediction here really quick um and I think that this is going to hold water Arkansas is going up against Texas Michigan 11:00 a on Fox oh man that's a good game too I'd love to see that game and I'll be frank with you I honestly think that Texas is going to boat race Michigan I think that they're going to beat Michigan by a solid 35 points I God I don't know about that I don't know it's at Michigan and i' say this same thing at Florida State Michigan and Florida State lost a lot of players to the NFL man they did I know the Rams first two picks were from Florida State yeah uh Jared burst and then uh Brandon Fisk I believe is his name the defensive lineman yeah uh those were the first two picks for the Rams and they lost a lot of players to the NFL just like Michigan did I'm just telling you man I mean but uh and one thing I want to get into before we leave tonight Jason I've had people I've seen reporters and I've seen fans calling this a must-win I I want to get into that because that that's this is not a must-win for Arkansas I'm not sugarcoating I will explain what I'm saying when we got time to talk about I before we get away I want to talk about that must-win stuff this is not a must win uh Aaron Hatcher had a couple of comments on here says ton green is extremely good he has a huge amount of touchdowns coming into Arkansas he did uh and not only through the air but he also had him on the on the ground and you know I want to allude to that for just a second because what he's able to do with his feet and also with his arm is what makes him so explosive and what sets him apart from Malachi because you you still have the 36- yard touchdown run that went from sideline to sideline and yeah a lot of people might have that throw to Tyrone broen the first play in the game kind of and etched in their memory a little bit and a couple of throws that went behind them and then listen everybody's best friend is the backup quarterback well I mean is there's not a quarterback out there that has some bad throws once a while that ball got first got wi uh yeah I'll say this uh the game Saturday could come down to the quarter here's why Taylor and green had 11 touchdown passes last year nine interception Bowman had one more if I'm not mistaken Bowman had one more touchdown pass than he had interception last year like 15 and 14 something like that maybe 16 I don't but both those guys have a tendency to throw interception and the quarterback that throws has the better game between those two their team may win they if if either team turns the ball over to a three times intercepting it fumbles whatever but either quarterback turn throws a bunch of interceptions it's going to be hard to win that game no matter which team it is and and they're both good quarterback now Bowman's more he's not really a threat to beat you with his legs where his tailing is but I mean hey he's got this is his seventh year the guy's got experience good quarterback he here's what both these team uh here's the thing with Oklahoma State Sam Pitman said that this week and I do believe this you You' got to beat them they're not gonna beat themselves this is an experienced football team they've been there and done that they're at home and they're confident and they should be favored they should be confident because they're play they were in the Big 12 championship game Arkansas was 4 and eight yeah so I get it but but I'm just saying that's that's what you're looking at here is a team that very confident and they should be and I I think that uh I think they're going to be but the quarterback who plays the cleanest game may be the team that wins one that has both these guys got a tendency to throw some Interceptor Jason yeah and both of them and uh we'll see how that works out and and there's a couple one or two the first play you're talking about in the uapb game could have been an interception there one or two others could have been uh that one pass way across the field and it just barely got to the receiver you can't throw that against Oklahoma State but but Oklahoma state has tendency to throw it so some interception too but I think the quarterback has clean its game and maybe the defense plays the best I think maybe the team that wins that game I think it's going to be a battle and but a lot of turnovers Quon can't fumble you know G Gordon can't fumble the team that commits the fewest turnovers may very well win that ball game now if they both play a clean game it' be interesting but but uh Oklahoma State's not going to do a lot to beat the one area is Bowman throws some interception if you could get them then you got it helps your chance you know I look for TJ metf maybe have a big game over our Saturday Jason I really do you know I'm big TJ mea fan I I think this the type game he can have a big game Arkansas did not have an interception down in uh the rock but uh but that's you know but I look for I look for a good game Saturday I think look it's sad they're going up against Michigan Texas because if you're not in Arkansas or Oklahoma State you're probably not going to be watching that game you're going to be watching Michigan and Texas this is my theory on that for just a second if one of those two teams which I think Texas might jump out fast and furious there gonna be a lot of fans are going to be tuning in that Arkansas Oklahoma St and that's going to be great for Sam and the program if Texas jumps on them or or Michigan jumps on them if if somebody gets a big lead early it looks like a blowout yeah it'll help but but you know hey we'll be there so it doesn't matter to me but uh can I go into that must-win stuff now yeah let's do that real quick people are saying I've seen reporters right that this is a must-win here's why it's not a must-win if you're talking about getting National respect after going 4 and eight and and not even 70 nothing's not goingon to get you respect with uapb but if you win that game you it's a must-win to get National respect but from the big the big picture of thing it's not a must-win because if let's say you lose that game but let's just pretend you come back and you beat UAB then you go to Auber and win you go to Texas ADM and win you're four- one so was that Oklahoma State game a must win if you're four- one end I'm not saying Arkansas if they lose we'll beat those team I'm saying what if so I that's why I don't consider it a must win in the grand scheme of things to get National respect you you go to Oklahoma State you win that game on the road that Arkansas will start getting some respect right so but from a from the big overall scheme of things it's not a must-win from that perspective it is but not overall grand scheme of things I don't think it's a must win in that no great win you know need to win sure but I don't think it's a must-win in the sense a lot of people are writing and saying because Arkansas if they lost that game but they came back to say they beat Auburn and A&M or say you know then all of a sudden they're two- one they got two Road games left the rest of the season you're four- one on the season so all of a sudden you don't look at that and say that was a must win that's why I don't buy that must-win stuff I just don't buy that ohce somebody is uh huge fan of yours and I'm going to tell you this I was surp I'm not surprised I I'm happy that you're finally getting some PB Leslie Byrum I'm glad Otis is with you tonight he is such a great icon ah you're gonna make this guy blush beside you I don't know about that man I'm just somebody works hard do the best job I can look I try you know I try to be fair to everybody out there the people I work for the people who read it the fans the people I work with uh I try to be fair to everybody the people people I work for lny everybody El and and pig tril and and and just do the best job I can that's all I've ever tried to do I don't get into this he's the best or this guy's the best or goat stuff I don't care about that stuff what I do care about is is trying to give and I you know I had a guy ask me today do a radio show yeah that's sure I would because look if it wasn't for fans I wouldn't you wouldn't have a job I wouldn't have a job exact so I mean if I can give back in that area I'll do it but I I don't know about ion I I just do the best I can that's all I try to do and I'm hey I'm old man for birthday's next Thursday I'm thankful to be here working and doing what I do and able to do it and you know with a lot of energy and yeah I'm gonna be honest with you I've got the same energy I had 50 years ago that gives me a lot of hope I it a lot of hope I work seven days a week and uh I don't drag I mean I mean you know I've had three knee operations on my left knee it's bone on bone and my back's been bad since I was born but uh I was born my something was tilted in there and uh the doctor finally told me about the 10th doctor I went to say it's probably when they delivered me the doctor messed up but uh you know no other doctor would put throw another doctor under the bus but whatever but but other than that other than one knee and the back but other than that I've been great and you know after two years ago that skure I had then but yeah it it's all worked out and I'm glad I'm just thankful to be here I hey I appreciate those kind of words I'm telling you man when some everybody's Praises me I appreciate it I really do and I and if it wasn't for people like that we wouldn't have I wouldn't have a job you wouldn't have a job yep thank you so much and I mean that from the bottom of my heart so real quick Leslie also posts out just remember Otis is the one who that discovered that quarterback Clint ster uh and told the Razorback coaching staff about him yeah you know I remember Harold Horton called me one day at the office and mea star and he said coach Ford wants you to find as a quarterback and I that's what he said and I remember Harold Horton o Otis coach Ford want you to find as a quarterback and uh I got on the phone and worked it and I talked to Bobby Burton I said Bobby Arkansas needs a quarterback who would you recommend he said Clint sterer I call somebody else Clint sterer I told the U OFA and the rest was history and then I had one U OFA coach tried to tell me Chad Jones at that time was better than Clint I said no way man the comp the competition at Baytown awesome and Clint went on and had a great Arc so Prince Clint a great guy man I disagree with him on Tor green but yeah that's it's no big deal I mean Clint knows football yeah he's a very good guy I'm not he's forgot more football than I well all of us will ever know yeah I mean great guy man I never I had I'm I can't say it on here we get knocked off there but I I never will forget when I called Clint when coach Ford got fired I I called Clint that night for reaction I was at the paper I can't tell you the reaction on here but you you you got imagination you can imagine the four-letter word that came out oh man he dropped a four-letter bomb and uh you know I said that's good Clint give me something I can put in the paper man so but no he's a good guy man we I've known Clint like I said since started recruiting down at Baytown and uh he's he's a good dude man great quarterback you know and I've seen people get on his butt about clipping on clip tripping on Brandon B for hey man Arkansas was undefeated that time they had a great team that year first year Houston nut it was ois the second year on the team and uh you know my son know and uh it was his second year on the team and uh it was a good team great team man and uh I was proud of Clint you know I will say this you know that they they recruited Clint they got him and yeah I did discover him but uh with the help of Bobby Bert but uh yeah good pickup for the Hogs all right so never your ha he called me ois coach Ford wants you to find us a quarterback no pressure right yeah um Terry Tory Northcross couple things real quick know Otis does a phenomenal job and even when his dog is in the background yeah the Bulldog he he kind he's trying to be a star man he's been beating up guinea pigs rabbits and turtles and everything else today you know he worked a few TV he protects us from those TV animals guys you got you don't understand those are dangerous creatures man the TV the Bulldogs out to save the world man forget Isis and all this other stuff TV animals that's the threat so Rusty Henry thinks Arkansas is going to win uh this is a pretty close prediction to what you had you had 4534 uh Rusty's got Arkansas 4524 yeah I mean it wouldn't surprise me I think Arkansas will win this game but obviously it can go either way I'm not g to keep saying it because everybody knows that it could go that's why you played the game nobody predicted Florida State be to at this point so but I like look I like this Arc I've told this story I think I said it on here and I know I've said a lot of place but you know I had them eight and four in in hogville and and one of the coaches over one of the coaches told me said that's a good prediction but I think it's low he thinks you're gonna win more than that I had I sit and talked to Sam for probably 30 minutes this summer just just talking to him not in a press conference just talking yeah and uh he told me they're going to be really good this year think are going to be really good and he's told me some times before when he didn't think they'd be that good and he he feels like he hit a home run with Bobby Pino and Eric Matas feels like he didn't go backwards with Kobe Smith and Ronny Fouch and you lost two good coaches with Kenny giden and Jimmy Smith and he feels like those guys at least replaced them maybe didn't maybe not better but not wor and then you certainly upgraded no no doubt you I'm about tell you I honestly and this is not a homer pick not koola I think Bobby patrin is the best offensive play caller in the college football the best not one of the best the best I think Bobby's great man and that's one reason for my optimism I'm not gonna lie to you one reason for my optimism is Bobby patrino yeah so last week he set Oklahoma State up for what he is going to be calling this week because this is what I was explaining to somebody uh this this afternoon the stuff that Oklahoma state is looking at is not quite all of what arkans ran last week they're looking at what okl what Texas A&M ran last year yeah there are going to be certain formations that Bobby is going to throw out there that they know he knows for a fact they saw it&m yeah and it's going to be the same it's gonna be an exactly different play out of the same damn formation I and that's where he makes his money yeah I talked to somebody at Oklahoma State about three weeks ago and they said they feel good they're goingon to have a good team they feel good they'll beat Arkansas but he said why scary to us and this is guy from Oklahoma State he said what scur us we're not going to know any more about Arkansas after the uapb game than we know now he said they're going to go over and play uapb they're going to beat the crap out of he said they're not going to show anything we will not know anything more about Arkansas than we know right now and that was coming from somebody at Oklahoma State and the inside or over there and so yeah and that's true and they didn't show anything I don't think t t well ever Bliss a single down the other night I mean it's yeah and I'm I'm sure okoma States got St they didn't show against South Dakota state now they have tougher oppon than Arkansas did South Dakota State pretty Dar good their type team if you overlook them you can get beat uh but but they're good but they're not they're not Oklahoma or Arkansas or A&M or but I watched a lot of games this weekend and I'm going tell you there's some teams in the SEC that I'm not completely sold on them Jason let see how it works out I Florida needless to say I was surprised that Florida kept uh their coach Billy Napier after Arkansas beat them I was really surprised they kept him and they look bad and that's a good Miami team that's a really good miam oh they're really good man that's a very good Miami team but I mean I tell you a team they're not in the SEC but team that I think really head in the wrong direction I've said this for a while is is Clemson davo is hard-headed Deo SW davo swing and he that you hey he said after game George is going to do that to a lot ofam and he's right George is great but we forget that it wasn't going go Clemson was one of those teams too Jason that was beating teams like that yeah was great you know they that should have been a dog you don't see Alabama losing like to that Georgia like Clemson did SW dbo not going to the portal and just being hard-headed it may cost him his job eventually I'm not saying this year but eventually but Clemson is not going to be the same team if they're not going to rely on the portal his statement about well there's not anybody in the portal good enough to play for us oh come on give me a break did you know that there was only two service schools in Clemson that were the only three teams in FBS that did not get a player from the portal this off season yeah that's crazy I remember not and people say well Trevor lar but it wasn't just Trevor lar I remember when they had a defensive line that ever one of them was projected to go the first round I think three of three of them did maybe but they all four didn't but they were projected too earlier but Clemson was loaded they had great running back and they're not now and I'm just telling you man he slipped and that PR I don't know why you would not recruit the portal I mean I'm look I get some coaches go overboard with it and bring in 50 60 new players out of the portal that's crazy but I'm there's there's a half I think Sam Actually I think he got 20 maybe I think Sam does a great job I think he had 20 out of 28 somewhere somewhere somewhere in the 20 range the last two or three years he's gotten out the portal and about the same number of high school kids I think that's pretty good I I remember last not this year but last year I think they had 20 out of portal and 19 high school kids like 39 or one year there anyway I I think it's crazy not to I mean if you don't adjust with The Times They you'll get left behind in any business you know I I I know reporters who say well I'm not going to use Twitter I'm not g to do the X I get but if you listen if you don't adjust with times you'll get left behind this world and I mean you better and that's what happened to Clemson and dbo and and it's just crazy but now people there was a guy on hogville p uh Facebook when we had that that ripped me every day about Dabo because he thought you're crazy with more him and Arkansas and I said the P the past Deo few years ago yeah the one now no I'd rather I mean I'm serious I don't want I mean you're not going to adjust with the time you're thato is not gonna be the hot name that he was say five years ago you know if he doesn't adjust if he adjust and Clemson start winning and they we need he won't be available for anybody but uh if he doesn't he's in trouble I'm just saying that man got a couple of score predictions uh byms uh byon said that I do have the Hogs winning 3817 that's a pretty solid number right there um Bobby does strike fear in offense Bobby's offense does strike fear from hog fan 40 ounce and um Lesley nor uh Tory North Cross uh what people are I'm going to put this up here to really quick what people are sleeping on is that we lost five games by seven points or less with without Bobby yeah if you don't think that will change then uh you're smoking well here's the deal you can't go from a broken down Volkswagen to a to a g a Cadillac you know brand new Cadillac and that's what Enos to pip I mean to patrino man that's like night and day and then something else people are sleeping on T whe got to keep his entire defensive staff intact Jason and that's important it is and uh you're seeing on the recruiting Trail which we'll get to uh here in just a few minutes okay what now oh the recruiting Trail okay yeah well I mean yeah I yeah I I tell you what next week next Friday not this one next Friday got there and see the my boy coach YB play I mean you're gonna get a treat that kid's good man I love that kid known him for a few years and he is good and uh he's got ties to Arkansas from his family and uh had some family graduate from U OFA and uh but I'll be out grabit that night and uh I if I go anywhere tomorrow night it'll be Jinx in the waso at Jinx that would be a huge hey Jinx waso has a everybody knows Blake Cherry yeah but they've also got a 27 kid was recently born he was born from Pine blood he plays for waso and he's a big- time player in class of 2027 I'm just telling you that's a kid to keep mind you know we'll we'll have more about him later but but I'm just telling you he is somebody watch yeah that that game tomorrow night is also a top 10 uh High School matchup in the us tomorrow night really J that's awesome it is I did not know that but that's awesome man and but that is going to be a game and if I go anywhere I'm not saying I'm going to that but if I do that will be the game I go to I don't know what I'll go to a game tomorrow night because we gotta get up early to go to uh I've never been I've never been to steel water so I want to leave early and get there a little bit uh because I've never been to Ste water so I want to get away and get over there early so I don't may not go to a game tomorrow night but if I do it will be that game it will be that game all right everybody we're going to take a break here for talked about Jinx no next next Friday night be grabbit not tomorrow night next Friday night next Friday night before the UAB UAB game gotta and then you have waso Jinx playing tomorrow night so if y'all are heading over that way that might be a great game to stop at too as well um so Arkansas kind they're picking up a little bit of momentum I understand that you know whenever you have an offense that scores 10 touchdowns in 10 off 10 possessions which is their entire game which which I don't know if a Razer back team has ever done that before um you I I want to talk about some of the um really kind of some of the things that Sam could capitalize on in recruiting during the season that you know as he rides this Wave It's Gonna help oh there's no doubt it's GNA help I mean one thing that helped Sam is to win games and then some of this stuff about he'll be fired during the season would go away that's something they've used against AR and Sam and they've really overcome that and I'm going to tell you it looked Bleak when when when man man and money went to K State no you it looked it looked Bleak at that time but but they just gotten tavan Wallace earlier that week but since then Arkansas's been on a row they've lost one kid in the last several announc like 10 announcements the the cornerback from Rustin went to LSU stayed home which is no disgrace there you lose a kid that Len to LSU but Arkansas was up against elu in Texas on him that's the only kid they've lost of all the announcements in the last three weeks whatever it is it started with Colton and and you know all these other players the safety you know they got the one and five player out of Oklahoma number one safety number one player period Edge but yeah this Arkansas's doing a good job recruiting uh he can get better and it will if they continue to win because one thing that hurt them is people tell them Sam's going to be f if you're winning that will go away and uh I think I think they really picked up momentum regardless of that anyway that like I said after am Mar and Robinson went to OU and the running back went to Kansas State people got down there was even rumors that say was going to retire or resign and I that's not true they had just gotten Taven Wallace a fourstar linebacker earlier in the week so I I I don't know I mean people nothing you know I remember L host you say nothing's ever As Good As It Seems or nothing as bad as it seem and that's the case than that you know and uh it is and uh and uh you know so uh yeah I mean it it's I mean he's not residing over a kid losing I mean all he did went out and you know Oklahoma gets that kid they go to okan gets the number one player there so it balances out but I'm telling you man tot yarro and and and also T Odus those are good ball players I predicted on August 3rd that Arkansas would get two kids we move the needle and they got both of them coach yo and and Kevin Otis defensive tackle and the edge rusher Otis is 2025 Otis is uh yard bro is 2026 but but anyway Arkansas really picked up the steam in recruiting Jason and uh and I I think they're gonna keep getting players I mean obviously they'll slow down till portal op because they're probably not very they'll take some more high school kids if they can get the right ones but but there a lot of the portals going to come in once the season ends that's where the portal will come in play and I I I really think though that if they're able to close up the portal in that spring semester I think that's going to help a lot of a lot of coaches be able to settle their roster for the entire or for the rest of you know the summer because at that point you you've got kids that are jumping ship in April and they don't have to start classes until June so then everything's up in the air for for damn near six weeks yeah I'm look and by the way br Brown is the kid BB is the kid that uh I was talking about from watcho the 2027 kid from Arkansas recently that's the kid I was talking about he and Blake Cher will be playing tomorrow night against Jinx that' be a great game man but uh that's two of the best programs in the country certainly two of the best Oklahoma and those are must stops in recruiting and with t Tulsa Booker T A Broken Arrow Tulsa Union uh Jinx and a was five schools in the Tulsa area there are must stop for if you don't do anything in Oklahoma but those five schools I'm telling you those are must out for any school that recruits oklah the Tulsa area Tulsa Booker T Tulsa Union Jinx a waso and broken era those are five must they may not have kids every year but they usually do but I'm telling you those are five schools if you recruit those you're getting good players Arkansas's had success in all five of those schools so I like I like those schools and and there's some good there's some good players over there Jason it's a you know it'd be a mistake T not recruit those and Arkansas is certainly recruiting I remember Brad been here like three years finally went into TOs and recruited and said he didn't realize to was that close it's like it took you three years to realize that no wonder the guy was losing coach Go I mean that's ridiculous yeah he should have been fired on the spot for that stupid statement I mean that's just dumb I mean yeah that's incompetence it is it is I'm not a Brett BMA fan if you can tell no I never saw that really yeah I wasn't his favorite reporter either he never did like me for some reason I have no idea why he said I was out to get him and I have I've never been out to get a coach in my life the the one coach that I probably was I wasn't out to get him I just say he was over his head that was John py that was I've never I mean I've got fa coach been here except Brett so I want to talk about the injury report going into week two um we didn't see Andrew Armstrong and I want to talk a little bit about what his addition if he's able to go I because I haven't seen or heard heard a a report on his updated injury status coming into this weekend well I had one yesterday I wrote a story yesterday from Sam from the SEC teleconference yeah he said he's much better than he was last week and still doesn't know if he will play or not but he is much better I said Sam yesterday at the telecon I did have a story yesterday on H picture my gut feeling is he's going to play that's my gut feeling and it's no inside it's just my gut got feeling that uh I think Andrew will play tomorrow uh but we'll see I mean or Saturday I'm sorry you're not play tomorrow but uh Saturday I do think he will play uh but I could be wrong but Sam didn't indicate that he just say he's much better than he was the week before he's getting better but he didn't know if he could play or not but my gut feeling is he's gonna play I think but but hey man I don't know how practice went yesterday at teleconference was at 10:40 in the morning I don't know how much did at Wednesday's practice or how much he did today's practice so I don't know that if I knew that i' I'd have a better indication but that's why we're not allowed to go you know so yeah I don't have an update on that but I do my if you're asking me my gut is he will play but I could be wrong and I don't know if it's wrong I because I'm not I have no Insight on that or whatsoever all I know is what Sam said y but my feeling is he will play and Pat C is still outon uh Pat I mean uh Sam said he thinks cud is is not he very doubtful he doesn't think he's going we asked him if he got that test that he was going to do and he said yes and he wouldn't expand he wouldn't go into it so didn't sound good and I'm telling you man when you get into that back issues that's serious man I mean that's that's tricky with soft tissue injuries like that man I I I've dealt with a back since I was injury since I was well not injury I was born with some stuff tilted in there some out of place so I've had back issues my entire life I can't walk through a mall uh without hurting so I'm telling you uh and that's been that way since I was a kid uh I think I don't think cudas will play but Marian Harris is aarian I hear people call him Marian even say it's imaran and uh you know and uh I think he's I think he's great I think he's very good player yeah I so I don't think that hurts him Lo not having c i I mean well it hurts but I mean but I think amarian will be fine there he's played well every time they've given him a chance they'll be fine there but I do think it's going to be interesting to see how that offensive line they didn't get tested last week I mean good God we were in the Press Box we were all talking about that you look out on the field I mean they were tiny on the defensive line uapb was so Arkansas's offensive line steamroll yeah it was predictable I'll be honest with you too for just a second because whenever we got up to the Press Box and we were we were talking a little bit the first thing that I noticed was that size and I I I looked at uh Jerry I looked at Pat Jenkins and the first two things that I said to them was Arkansas's about to truck these Skies yeah they were too they were they were actually pretty good size on the offensive line they were decent there but defensive line they were tiny and there was no way that kimona and and then Marian and Blackstock and Addison Nichols and and Josh Brun weren Just Gonna Roll them and they did too much size up front way too much I mean they were tiny on the defensive line their offensive line actually had pretty good size wasn't SEC caliber it was pretty good size but but their defensive line was tiny man they had no chance yep so um uh Michael Wilkins he was asking what your sport prediction for Arkansas Oklahoma state was if I'm not mistaken it was uh 4534 4534 Arkansas that now I I said I said uh 30 I I said uh something different on P Nation Sunday but I I I I I added some uh I added some op I think I said 3521 on Pig Nation Sunday when Jacob asked me but I got to think about it later and I've added more offense for both teams I think it'll be 4534 something I think it'll be a high-scoring game I really do uh if it's you know I I I don't it may not be but I I I think you know you got Bowman you got ton you got Bobby you got Mike Gandy I think they're gonna be some point the defense that plays the best the quarterback turns the ball over at least for the offense turns the ball over that may be the team that wins the game yeah and I I've got Oklahoma State winning um I know that's probably not a very uh you got to pick who you think's going to win it don't matter I mean I'm not trying to please anybody want I pick ARG it's just like when I win eight and four people said well he's you know he's drinking I'm not drinking any Kool-Aid I that's what I really believe I mean but yeah I hey I don't know Jason doesn't know you don't know what's who's G what the record's gonna be or who's gonna win this game you got to pick what you believe and that's why I believe eight and four I probably should have gone seven and5 if I had to do over again i' probably go 7 and5 but hey I mean it it's it's not the end of the world man I mean it's a prediction on a ball football game or SE whatever it is and the so the the reason and the behind why I had picked Oklahom state was because and I'm not sure how I have talked to Dudley find out what his ideas were but mine was coming from a a spot of Arkansas's defensive line depth is going to be challenged this week with olly Gordon now you got the do Walker Award winner from last year also the offensive player of the year from the Big 12 and they have most of I think they have most of their um uh most of their um sorry getting this thing adjusted here a little bit offensive Lineback and that does make a huge difference it does make got a lot of players back from last year and they're played the Big 12 championship games I mean that's enough the reason to say you picked Oklahoma State man they're a good team and they they're at home they should be favored you know I I don't think anybody pick them has to explain really why I mean I know y it's good yard but I mean it should go without explanation I mean yeah they're the obvious favorite and they should be I just got to got play on Arkansas wins the game but know it go either way my gut feeling is that Texas is going to thump Michigan they're going to get sick and tired of that game they're going to go from Fox to ABC which is GNA help Arkansas and it's a high-scoring game fans are going to tune in they're going to stay engaged for that entire game I think it may be high if you're not a direct TV subscriber you'll go you may not be start watching got Direct TV you may not be watching Arkansas soad somebody doesn't have Direct TV man watch the game but people don't need another reason to cut the cord and this is just one of those I mean why would you take why would you have this happen and then sit there and defend it as well direct is every year that's why I Dro I dropped them man they do it's some crap every year they pull and the other Stations don't do that and uh since I went to Cox they haven't dropped a single station whereas Direct TV it was every year and do it right at football time or NBA time and that was enough for me to say screw this man I'm out of here with and you know I mean I saw people on Facebook butting they cancel Direct TV and I said good and I don't even know these people it's not it's none of my business but but I just don't I mean they lied to me on some stuff that I when I dealt with them and I had it and I I love to see people cancel I I think they're overrated and uh you know I I think that the people that run Direct TV probably run the fal post office oh man don't get me started on the post I knew that would get you that's the reason why I did I knew Tuesday I got a dolphin connect card it Texas is going to hammer Michigan I think that there are going to be a lot of people are going to start believing in Texas and maybe even give them some first place votes finally I think Texas wins I don't know about Hammer but I think Texas wi I'm I'm going off with what I saw against Fresno State last week yeah I didn't watch that game know it took them three quarters to get started I know Michigan lost a lot of players Pros man just like Florida State you can't do that without it hurt yep uh you've got A&M hosting MCN State and MCN I'm gonna be honest with you it's going to be tough sleding I think this one's going to be probably over by the first quarter maybe even by half go MCN I mean's going win but go MCN you got next You Got U Georgia taking on Tennessee Tech um I picked Tennessee Tech I'm joking people you're just going against the I'm joking on that I'd have to you know I would be a media hack if I pick Tennessee Tech to beat Georgia no they probably go beat him now no Georgia they'll name it be like Arkansas and UAP Georgia will name it score I think so too uh this is a really really interesting matchup I I talked about this in the prediction column earlier today um you've got Auburn hosting Cal now a lot of folks are gonna find out whenever uh you know Cal takes the field they run a and this is going to really sound weird when I say this but they run a 245 and basically you have two defensive yeah Kos I'm sorry I haven't read your story I've been out of town all day I've put your and Jerry story up I had and I did a radio show and I was out of town I have and I didn't get back and I haven't read I did put it up but I haven't had a chance to read but yeah it's interesting man so they have two down linan that are defensive ends in in four-point stance and then they mix and match the blitzing off of that and which is really odd because they it's a huge risk but High reward and I think that you're going to see Hugh freees not air it out this week I think you're going to see him try to pound it down Cal's throat and keep it close shorten this game up and get out with a a solid Victory on Saturday yeah I'll go with auburn I'd like to see Cal beat him I'm not a hug fre fan needless to say but I hope Cal wins I'll go with auburn and uh right now it's uh the line for Cal I'm trying to see here uh no Auburn's thir favored by 13 right now so um this week I wonder if Shane Beamer is going to have a job after the performance South Carolina put up against Old Dominion last week with that five-point win that was awful you know 30 2319 that was fourpoint win um against Mark STS that's gonna be tough I'm G tell you I I keep seeing Sam Pitman and Billy Napier on the hot seat nobody ever mentioned Beamer and I don't get that because I I I think Kentucky will beat him I think I'm not not Soo on South Carolina haven't been anywh yeah they had a tough game I I'm not sold on South I'll go with Kentucky there Jason yeah and you got South Carolina starting a freshman quarterback dual threat dual threat quarterback at that I like d Loggins I really love D but I I'm not sold on South Carolina I do like d but I'm not sold on them as a team so uh next you got this this is I don't want to say that it's going to be over by the first quarter but I think it's going to be you've got Old Miss hosting Middle Tennessee State I'll say it it'll be over by the first quarter you know Lane Kipping one of my favorite coaches college sports I love the guy and he I like the guy I don't love him but I like I like Lane Kipping and I think they win that game you know they won there was a 76 Point blowout shut out victory fman yeah fer me Ferman fman yeah and yeah I I I kind of expect the same maybe a little less scoring but um going to take the foot off the pedal so uh you've got Alabama hosting South Florida you've got the Bulls uh wasn't it game close a year or two ago yes it was last year that was When Ty Simpson came in sa was trying to figure out the the whole quarterback issue with him and milro I'll go with Alabama obviously but uh yeah I think they win a game probably more comfortable than they did last year I'll go with Alabama y wide receiver for Alabama freshman Ryan Williams he's only 17 years old had two catches uh I think it was 143 yards and two scores he's good player I've seen F on him recruiting Ryan's good ball player man yep and you got him and also the transfer running back uh hannes I think that they're going to be a pretty stout formidable uh Trio for South Florida and I don't think that you're going to see a repeat of last year I think Alabama is one of the underrated if that's possible they're one of the underrated teams in the FCC I mean when I say underr I know they're ranked High I get that but I'm just saying when you talk preseason most people a lot of people left them out conversation I think they're pretty good um so let's see here oh I'm not chatting no more I'm just gonna listen to my two dudes that's what Leslie said hey you're fine man you're fine and by the way Kansas City has already kicked off against the Ravens we're going to finish out this slate and get you all out of here real quick so you guys can jump into that um you got Missouri uh hosting Buffalo uh the Bulls go Bulls go Buffalo yeah what I'd like to know how Missouri got that sec schedu I know this not an SEC game but they got that Arkansas has never had an SEC schedule I know they go to Alabama and I know they host U but my God they they've got the easiest SEC schedule I've ever seen I mean they've got a pathetic schedule I don't know how they got that schedule AR never had a schedule like that yeah Missouri's living on charm life I guess yeah um I mean I know that Missouri probably is going to end up winning they won last week 51 nothing open up the season um I don't know if Buffalo is really going to put up that much of a fight but you know what though here's the thing always it seems like one out of conference foe that Missouri faces each year always gives them all sorts of problems and this might be the week that this happens well I saw them beat Florida last year in Columbia and they were very fortunate that game they should lost it Florida gave it to them Florida started playing not to lose instead just keeping the foot on the gas and they let Missouri win that game but but uh yeah they have a tendency to play Down to the competition at times Buffalo used to have a really good team program I don't know what what that were the Kansas the Kansas Coach didn't he come there to to Kansas was is that right one time I think he was in Buffalo uh I'm pretty sure the Kansas head coach now was at Buffalo and they were real respectable then and Arkansas tried to recruit one of their quarterbacks one time and he ended up player for the NFL in college but Buffalo's got a good Pro or had a good program I see you on your deal they're one and0 there but I don't know who they beat I don't know anything about them but I know they used to have a good Pro I mean Missouri will win that game I think but yeah you're right they play down to the competition I think Buffalo beat Tennessee Tech that faes faces Georgia this week I think but I'm not 100% sure is either them or bethon cookman it was one of the two um so Florida and Stanford Stanford let's let's look back for just a second in Arkansas lore because Arkansas took on Samford down at Little Rock and got about damn near beat if na loses that game we may have the first firing in college football if naier loses this game it's over I think he might get fired and G week two I serious I think if and I'm not saying they'll lose that game I'll pick them to win but if they do lose I'm telling you I mean it's gonna get ugly in games well if they lose this game yeah if they win this game and it's close it's probably gonna get uglier you know and also during the SEC teleconference this week there were questions that were you know given to Billy about his job security and I'm going to tell you he probably did about the best one two step side step that a politician could do around those questions and that he just has to keep going but at the same time you also have to ask yourself when does this stuff stop well Billy Napier this not gonna make sense I think he's a good coach but I don't think he's a good coach for the SEC if that makes sense yeah I think he may be in over his head in this league but kind of like J M Louisiana he was a good coach Jason he did a good job well put this way he did a good job at LC I don't know if he's a good coach he did a good job there but I think he's in over his head at Florida and I they lose that game I'm telling you I'll be surprised if he goes to week three if if if they lose that game and I'm not saying he will but if they do that could get it's gonna get uglier than ever down there I think it will too uh you got LSU taking on Nicholls I think LSU is GNA bounce back after that they'll win um you know also you you got they one of their starting running backs out for the season with the injury so Emy yeah John Emery so they're this is probably the best week for Brian Kelly to have something like that happen you don't want to wish ill on anybody but if this was a week if there was a week to have happen this is the week for them to have that happen yeah they'll bounce back they I'll give them credit for playing UFC I I thought they'd win that game and for all the people saying well they played in Vegas and that's home to Southern cow Bas look 60% of the crowd was LSU fans look people think because Vegas is close to La that every time at Southern C or lak or somebody plays there that it's blocking over but La people go to Vegas all the time cheap as hell to fly there no matter where you're from deal from yeah LSU fans Arkansa F somebody go toas for southern for Southern California guys it's not a big deal to go to Vegas they go with a Lakers play they go but but I mean they don't really go all out the Lakers is the one team in La that really draws the the Dodgers the Dodgers I'm sorry the Dodgers and the r Lakers Dodgers Lakers even the Rams they don't travel at well no they don't so uh also you got the so first off I want to throw out there that the uh Texas Michigan game is the first top 10 matchup of the Season between week one and week two so this there's another top 25 matchup you got Tennesse heading to NC State uh you know listen Nico I'm a I'm a I'm is the real deal I don't know about Heisman talk but you know when you score 69 points and secure that home Victory the way that he did as being a Freshman this is going to be his first true Road road test Josh hyp I think is gonna have him ready but I think the NC State's defense is going to bring it nor North Carolina state had they barely won they played somebody and they really struggled week one it's going to be an that's an interesting game I don't even know how to pick it I'll go with Tennessee but it wouldn't surprise me if North Carolina state that could be a test for a freshman true freshman quarterback to go on the road and play a top 25 team see how he does it's easier at home and that's a good game right there that could be a good game that may be the best game of well yet an Arkansas game may be the two best I'm talking about just good games yeah those may be the two best games on there Course Michigan Texas but that if you if it's the one side you think that won't be that good a game but those are the three obvious games it looks like on they could be close and two quality opponents not one and then a nobody well speaking of one and nobody you got Vanderbilt taking on all corn State Virginia Tech that's impressive that was so impressive and I'm telling you what that I think that they were the Dandy of the weekend also because nobody saw this coming Clark Lee and Company dominated Virginia Tech for two solid quarters it looked like Virginia Tech was going to crawl their way back into it and then you know Vanderbilt for their for their credit I'm telling you they they put them you know their foot down on that neck and closed out the hoges which is something that you know LSU's trying to still struggling with a little bit but um you know wi with Vanderbilt with what they did how they did it and if they're able to replicate that this weekend I'm I'm gonna go out on a limb here you might start to see them get more votes and possibly climb into that top 2 thoughts yeah I'm not sure what some guy was smoking I saw somebody I aine or who it was had them the number two team in power in the SEC power rank had number two had Georgia one and Vanderbilt to and I said man come on now that was a big win for them but come on number two over over Texas and Alabama and come on man Vanderbuilt hasn't been in the top 25 since 2012 power ranking a uh what happened there miss I think U is gonna win that game big and um last but not least you got Mississippi State at Arizona State and so who's favored that game Jason um Arizona state by five and a half points I'll go with Arizona State I'm not sold on Mississippi State it's at Arizona State I guess and I don't know who you picked in the story today but I'm gonna go with thereof state that [Music] game that feedback is
