Congratulations on the film. How is it when one of Britain's greatest actresses wants to tell one of these fantastic, untold stories and wants you to be part of it? It was probably, just. I was honored and humbled and, it was one of those calls. So you don't get it very often, but just getting on the phone with Kate Winslet. And hearing her, it took about three seconds into the conversation before I was like, I'm in. Because she had her passion was just extraordinary. And again, she'd been developing this for eight years and she was so invested in it emotionally. And, and, and when you feel that from, from someone, it's a real treat to jump in and just enjoy the ride and the tagalong. And it was it really was extraordinary. And and the chemistry between the two of you is the key to key to the, the whole story. But, she obviously goes her character obviously goes through quite a lot. Yeah. So how did you evolve that and did you how did you discuss just just playing it on screen. We, we we had the privilege because we didn't have time to rehearse much. I was shooting something in the States right up until we started this. But we fortunately started with the stuff in the beginning of the movie when they first meet, which made it quite easy because we also met for the first time, and we got to know each other as the characters got to know each other. So by the time we got into the war and how that affected Kate, Lee Kate's character when she went over, we already had a report, and we had kind of worked together for a bit, which I think helped, and it was we talked a lot about how on the stage it's interesting for, for Roland because he loves her so much. And, but it's so. And he wants to, let her do her thing. He knows how important that is for her to, go into the theater of war and document what is happening and give a voice to the voiceless and but at the same time, he's concerned. He's he's worried about her and her safety and what that will do psychologically to her. And she comes home broken in many ways. And and it's very, and it is heartbreaking because Roland tries to, I think there's it creates a lot of friction in rolling the between letting her go and do her thing, but also trying to protect her in a way. Yeah. Well, congratulations on the film. It comes across superbly. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, you are watching. Hey, you guys. Yeah, you guys are you guys? I That's what they all say. You guys. Hey, guys.
