going into the national championship what do you think a key to this game is for Washington um I feel like defensively for sure stop the run um and impose our will early I feel like we got to set the tone first drive of the game and stuff like that this team obviously has won 21 games in a row the defense has showed up big moments obviously the offense is great what more is left for this team to prove um I feel like this is the last game man we got to go one and0 last game of the season I feel like we've got one and0 each week whether that's uh day in day out or weekly each opponent stuff like that so we just got to go do it one more time against Michigan what does that one and0 mindset look you guys talk about the one and0 mindset all season going into the national championship what does that look like um I feel like not not having too many highs not having too many lows just kind of stay in the middle um staying positive and stuff like that through the downs and then the UPS not letting them get too comfortable and stuff like that um and then just taking it each Play One play at a time is it I I know that obviously you all have immense belief in the team in the program but is it a little bit surreal to be here in Houston for the national championship most definitely I feel like when I came in under coach Pete and Coach Lake I mean the goal was to win a Pack 12 championship and not to not only do that and then be a part of the uh National Championship it's a great it's a great uh lesson for sure so staying here at Washington the right decision oh most definitely I mean through three coaching changes I feel like I've had a great experience can you talk a little bit about what that sendoff was like yesterday at Husky Stadium oh it was like no other man I was just telling my family about that I feel like I mean we go out to the buses for any other away game and we get like two three four fans out there but just to have that great crowd out there it was a great experience what does it mean I this program hasn't won the National Championship in 32 years what does it mean to be in this position and have an entire University and City rallying around you guys and we use the word legacy a lot in our facility uh during this time of the year and I feel like just to leave behind a great legacy not only for us but for those to come and also for those who did it before us yo ASA obviously winning is the the goal the only thing that really matters but what are you hoping to leave out on the field on Monday um I feel like just leave it all out on the field man all the effort all the physicality um all the emotions and stuff like that and just go out there and give it our all and offense defense speci teams
