teammate of Mr Johnny gdo played in Calgary for nine years so I mean it's thought that they would pair them together and maybe Johnny discovers some of the magic and Monahan can stay healthy and do things I don't know man um if Pascal Vincent was here he would make sure that Johnny gdo and sha Monahan never played on the same line like it would be like a thing he would be like I don't know why because he was with both the Jets and Montreal so they there was a trade so he played an extra game but he played in every game I'm going to say in the history of the Columbus Blue Jackets they've never had anyone play 83 games in a season well in the history of Shawn Monahan he not I don't think ever going to play 83 games again or 82 it's it's highly unlikely right this is a guy who has had injury issues in his career that is the knock on him so yeah but if when healthy he clearly can get if you can get that production out of him if you can get north of 80 points from this guy then for 5 from the commentators what the hell's going on their reactions in gymnastics are one of the main reasons I will watch cuz if you were just watching that with no commentary I couldn't fig I they show the scores at the end but I wouldn't know if you had a great routine or a nothing routine other than if you fall same thing with figure skating and the Winter Olympics I don't know but when they lose their minds that that adds to the broadcast for me I have I need that otherwise I'm not going to be able to follow there is a uh certain person out there she has no idea how how much she has touched me but she has touched me we talked about her 3 years ago and it's a shame that we don't keep tabs on the Olympians I mean some people do yeah but for me I'm really only paying attention when the that surprises a lot of people because I I like the All-Star Game I like baseball in general but the thing about baseball that I like is the exact opposite of the Home Run Derby is that baseball can have a lot of different outcomes you can hit a little squibber to Third Base that has the same effect as a 120 M hour exit V Line shot to left field right right they both wind up with dudes on base but in the Home Run Derby there's no room for nuance you either hit a home run or you don't that's it right I do feel like uh maybe just to take a different look at that I I don't no I'm saying I don't I don't enjoy the Home Run Derby it's not my favorite thing cuz like you I would if I was going to sit down and watch baseball I want to sit down and watch the whole thing because Fielding is important and so is you know pitching and everything but also I feel like looking at say the Three-Point Contest or the dunk contest in the NBA we acknowledge that basketball you like you have to play defense to play basketball you have to be good at defense but the Three-Point Contest specifically says we don't that's not what we're looking at they let you know ahead of time when you go there you're like where's the defense it's like they told you it's a Three-Point Contest it's not a defense contest I don't I don't find it particularly entertaining that's all all right I think I think I think most people who watch baseball would probably agree with you that it's unnecessary to enjoy the allstar game but I think a lot of people do watch it and say well if we're going to watch people hit whole might as well see what they can do maybe if it were 45 minutes I would watch it it's 3 hours long well that's sure that's the other part of it all right so here's the changes within each player's timed Round The Hitter will see a maximum of 40 pitches similar to how there is a maximum number of basketball shot in the NBA Three-Point Contest this will place a greater premium on efficiency between the batting practice pitchers and the hitters okay all right so Translating that they're going to try to make sure they have better pitches to hit every time as opposed to just throwing whatever they can at them because they have a however many swings you can take gives you more of a chance they have a limit to how many how many balls they can hit right so maximum 40 pitches in last year's Derby all of the participants average more than 43 swings per round so it'll cut down on some swings okay uh the hitters will have three minutes in each of the first two rounds and two minutes in the championship round also the bonus time for each hitter will no longer be clocked Instead The Hitter will continue until he's made three outs a swing that generates a result other than a home run I like how they tell you that just in case you've never watched the Home Run Derby a fourth out can be earned with a 425 foot home run in the bonus time so you can add a bonus fourth out if you hit a long enough home run okay uh this change will allow for an unlimited number of home runs in the bonus period meaning that a hitter who is behind will always have a chance to make up a deficit I like how we've essentially taken one of the positive aspects of a Major League baseball game is that there is no limit I mean Tech technically we can be out here for 22 Innings until someone scores a run sure right but they've said no we don't want that too long burns out too many pitchers ghost Runner yes 10th inning have to do the zombie Runner whatever shut up Home Run Derby has said no well technically now you can just go on forever yeah keep hitting home runs okay we have to extend the Home Run der homeby has no ending but but Extra Innings in Major League Baseball we have to shorten that and get rid of it we got to try to find a way to not have it I agree well they're I mean they're trying to do that here they're trying to make this not be as long but they're giving you an out you're right you could still keep going if if you keep hitting bomb after bomb after bomb in extra time right bonus time the final round were no long will no longer be a head-to-head bracket that's the problem no my my point here is it does matter because the United States should consider themselves and should try to be a top 10 team in the world and if you get bounced if you get as the soccer fans would call it grouped in Copa America then you're not one of the top 10 teams in the world I'm sorry there's no way you could claim that so they did not they had a they had a red card situation in the know previous game and that was all bad but the reality is you should be better than Panama you should be I'm not saying you should be better than Uruguay necessarily but Uruguay is a team that does not have that country does not have the population does not have the size does not have all that stuff and yet they have a tremendous program and a tremendous team the US should be able to hang with the likes of an Uruguay and of even a Brazil or you know Argentina or whoever they should be able at least play with those teams be in the game so tonight yes it very much matters what this performance is if the United States Los loses this game they are most likely out of this tournament I don't think there is a way that they could get in with a loss uh if they tie then there's a chance that if Panama ties there's goal differential if the US wins and Panama ties or loses they get through but the whole part of that that's difficult is Uruguay is a very very good team and even though they are already through to the next round they don't need this they've already won their two games they're going to want this because it's the United States they're going to want to basically terrible story right about murder and deceit and I have not seen the movie The Book though is tremendous I just read that I'm going to go watch the movie and the stuff that you learn in that where they're talking about how a lot of these people the Osage people these Native Americans they lost members of their family and they have no idea what happened happened to them they don't know if they were murdered if they just died of this mysterious illness whatever it was because a lot of these were not solved and and they talked about the thing they're like yeah I just want to know I didn't really know this person who died back in the 20s but they're my great-grandfather my grandfather my grandmother and I our family has been living with this since then for a hundred years no one knows what happened to him exactly and we just like closure and they'll never get it because I don't know if you know this in the 1920s records weren't kept as well as they are nowadays and it just it's like they can't find it they'll never know and I thought thought I thought of you as soon as I read that I'm like you're a guy who would that would drive you insane not knowing closure used to talk about this his mother was uh an orphanage kid okay right when she was a kid her mother died and the father couldn't take care of her and the rest of the kids unfortunately what would happen back then is he would just bring the kids to the orphanage oh wow right GES and so uh you know Howard would say how he would talk to his mom about the orphanage and what do you remember about your mom and your dad from when you were at home cuz I think she was like a six or seveny old kid it wasn't like shortly after she was born she was taken to the orphanage and uh she was telling the story about how Mom sort of died and and Howard was like well how did mom die it's like oh we don't really know she just sort of died and he said well what do you mean she just sort of died do you think that maybe you're father killed your mother and she said yeah probably anyway and then she trailed off and went into something else like wait a minute don't you want to get to the bottom of it if your father killed your mother what's the point of that darling I can't to me the way more normal reaction is reading that book about you know the oage people and not knowing exactly what happened them saying yeah it's kind of haunted our family for 100 years we really would like to know please if anybody has any info please help us figure it out out that to me is way more noral just saying a lot of people deal with grief very differently know I know but I'm saying I'm I'm the type of person who that's all I would be thinking about I can't understand the people who are like yeah that may have happened but uh fries CU I have moved past this point in my evolution of of eating as you could probably guess yes I just reach I reached in grabbed the fries I usually have like a claw like system it's like the uh the machines at the arcade grab some and I kind of level them out then shove them in if if I'm sitting still in a restaurant that's what I'm doing but if I'm driving we're taking that carton we're holding that up to our mouth and we're just letting gravity you're drinking oh yeah just a few at a time you know you I give a little shake to get a few loose and then I just tip them up it's it's great and then I'm doing that I'm not even touching the fries anymore in the car but they're they're lost yeah T-Bone's got a big gullet he's got a GI he has no gag reflex what are you do are you biting them in half they all just fall right in are you biting them in half must be nice to be able to open your mouth so wide they're hitting the side of my mouth I can't get my mouth open wide enough you cut it up I can't open my mouth wide it I want to use it you can use your tongue and move them back over all the way back as you chew don't laugh and ruin the sound B you ruin his now I want that one does the does Timmy when you're eating like a piece of chicken and you bite into it does it just stay in the front of your mouth or does it gradually move towards the back that's all I'm doing with the fries we're just letting them move back in there it just moves on back until you choke on it or something till I swallow it I too I too cannot do what T-Bone does you can't do that no I got to take am I the only one that does this drinks your fries you may I don't drink them I like I put them towards the end of that little cup and then I grab them with my tongue and teeth and pull them out and chew on them they're just there are some snacks where I will do that with but the McDonald's fries are just too long they're not conducive to just tipping it back like an & bag made for that of course you could do that absolutely NDS cut the Eminem bag or if you are careful I can't let my wife or my son open anything it's like a Texas Chainsaw Massacre it's you wouldn't believe it simple bag of chips we're on a road trip so it's important for the bags stay intact we get a bag of zaps or whatever I look over there it's like Wolverine open the bag so I have to yell at them now
