Illinois may soon be getting a new state flag a contest to design a new flag will be open to the public on September 3rd through October 18th 2024 the Illinois flag commission will then select their 10 favorite designs and host an online public survey to give people the chance to vote for their favorite design or vote to keep the current flag voting will begin on January 1st 2025 and last for 6 weeks the complete contest rules are linked in the description we'll catch you next time on flag effects
