mgoblue.com by fans for fans since 1999 you you and Jim do you have harbot do you have some relationship I mean history or anything do you know each other well I know I'm just from um the tribun okay live stream the uh signing me last year right so that's how I got to I don't know him well you guys spend some time together little bit Yeah well he's brought a lot of excitement back to this school I'll tell you that much and uh obviously bran Jordan being on the football uniforms now haded excitement but you know Jim's done a great job with what he's done here and uh you know it's fun for me because you know coming to school here in the off season um after my planing rookie season was over with uh it's good to see that excitement back here at the University do you appreciate his lunatic ways I mean some people would describe him that way that's your word I didn't say just I did not say lunatic ways that's you but no I think he's had success at every level he had success as a player he's had success in the NFL he's had success in college I mean whatever he's doing other people need to start doing it because he's he's been great for for both professional and College athletics are you like a lot of the former players and football players here seeing Michigan down these last you know pretty much the last decade seeing the Resurgence with Jim I mean what does that mean for you it means a lot you know um obviously I didn't graduate from Michigan I signed here to come play baseball and then I drafted by New York but in the offseason I came and attending classes here so yeah I'm the biggest new fan out there so uh yeah I was hearing it from a lot of teammates throughout the years when when every football season was started I had a lot of optimism and they would enjoy getting on me a little bit but uh now my phone doesn't ring too much now the Michigan Hall of Fame is coming up do you will you be there I will yes I was supposed to be there last year we had had two mechanical problems on flight which is kind of scary but uh yeah I'll be there your identification with the state you did some stuff in cazo we right I did do you still feel like a tie to here of course this is where this is where I grew up um you know I was born in New Jersey but I moved here at a young age and I grew grew up here you know through high school and the reason why moved down to Florida and live in Florida now is the weather I can't even you're playing baseball you need some warmer weather um so I moved out of Florida I've been down there for 27 years but yeah there's obviously ties here and this Foundation has done a lot of work um in the cou area West Michigan area and I come back every the opportunity I get what was it like being such a big Michigan guy with an owner like George Stein brother who was so closely identified know we used to have a bet every year in Michigan Michigan Ohio State football game and uh you know he had so many things going on when he lost I'd sort of lie about what I won um but yeah we had a a lot of fun going back and forth with that rivalry what was the best thing you got out of the when you won use of his plane oh yeah yeah yeah used of this plane to go to the next year's game we didn't bet that but I took it you should have touched on it what what does it really mean for a university like this a football program to be associated with with the Jordan brand it's huge I mean I've been with involved with the Jordan brand I was the first uh non-basketball athlete involved with the Jordan F some 15 we're trying to when you get old you to forget how many years around 15 years ago and um to see now the jump man on the football want a university initial it's awesome it just shows how much the brand has grown throughout the years and we continue to grow all right thank you guys so much thanks yeah no problem seeing you guys thank you for listening to the mgoblue.com podcast All Rights Reserved search for umg goo.com on iTunes go Blue
