hasn't happened for so long that a clear cut well two clearcut Rising Star contenders have been ineligible because they've been suspended it's just been so long I think maybe Dustin Martin in his debut year he was suspended and couldn't win the uh the rising star and yeah you go back to the 90s it happened quite a few times but yeah it's been a long time so when it got raised on Saturday after hary raid and Sam Darcy were looking at suspensions I was like is that actually correct are we talking about the same thing here but yeah that is the rules in the AFL has no intention of changing it
