on August 28th 2024 thousands of music fans watched eagerly as a countdown ticked down to zero on the Lincoln Park website there's much speculation about what this could mean for the band and their future but as the timer ticked down to zero it just reset and started counting up this left everyone absolutely flabbergasted and wondering what this at all mean let's rewind and talk about some of the biggest theories going into this event and what this could mean going forward the most popular theory about what would happen at the end of the timer was that Lincoln Park would finally come back with a new singer and maybe some new music and some live performances after their seven-year Hiatus after the tragic passing of Chester Bennington in 2017 you know nobody can replace Chester but many fans feel like it's time to move on and honestly the best way that to honor him would be to keep creating and to make more art and more music so there's been lots and lots of rumors running around about who could be the new singer of Lincoln Park and one of the biggest rumors that I've heard has been they would come back with a female singer and one of the Front Runners for that has been Bonnie from Stand Atlantic she's an absolutely great pick in my opinion a fantastic voice and she can scream she's got tons of energy but unfortunately she's already denied these rumors saying that she's already busy with her Band Stand Atlantic uh even though that this would have been a great honor if the band had picked her the other person that I heard a lot uh of speculation about specifically this week was Derek from s41 he had an announcement coming out this week on the day that the timer was supposed to tick down to zero but he also has denied the rumors that he would be joining this band or any other band for that matter and he's pushed back his announcement to be on a different day than Lincoln Parks another theory about what this could all mean has to do with the fact that the live stream's title was just simply this o with a slash through it many have speculated could possibly have to do with 21 Pilots as that is part of their logo there was some leaked information about a remix of a Lincoln Park song featuring them maybe coming out later has not been confirmed and you know sources are sketchy on that also could have something to do with Lincoln Park's original name the band's original name was zero so this could be a zero not a o maybe it has something to do with going back to the roots rebirth restarting the band I don't know it's very very interesting but the biggest clue that we have so far is that at 9 minutes and 5 Seconds the live stream glitched out again indicating maybe something will happen on September 5th which happens to be 200 hours from when the timer ticked down to zero the first time so perhaps the timer is going to go back up to 100 hours and then back down to zero again and then we'll finally get to the bottom of this mystery whatever Lincoln Park has in the story it's going to be a huge moment for this band I'm sure there's been rumors forever that they're going to be coming back and I honestly really really hope that they do they've taken plenty of time to more and Chester passing and I think it's time to move on in a respectful way and keep creating keep making new music uh these guys are such talented musicians and to just keep their talents locked away uh would be a shame so I hope that they continue on like in Parks Legacy in one way or another whether that's just through performing their old stuff live with a new singer or keeping on and making new stuff with a new singer I would be down for either one honestly but you can be sure that whatever happens we will be covering it here on this channel so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss any of that I'm really stoked to find out whatever happens at the end of this timer that's going to do for me today and I'll see you in the next one
