Japan has been hit by one of its strongest typhoons in decades leaving more than 200,000 people without power tropical storm Shan Chan made landfall Thursday morning as a powerful typhoon then gradually lost strength but it's still forecast to bring strong winds high waves and significant rainfall to most of the country storm has caused at least three deaths with dozens more injured more than 5 million people in the south of the country have been told to evacuate I mean I'm concerned because I obviously do not want to miss our flights back to New York on September 2nd so we have the 31st and the 1 to be able to get out of boka to be able to make our flight back um to New York on September 2nd um so if the power failures really continue to go on for the next couple of days then we might we're going to be screwed and we'll be stuck here a little bit longer a lot of stores are closed which is a little bit interesting in Tokyo when they had the typhoon many places were open so we could do something here so many places are closed
