congratulations think about all the performances it's just like that I get to work with her wow well that's the biggest blessing of all is is is sharing a scene with Penelope but congratulations on a great love story I mean this is uh so well done and I don't care what side of the fence you're on as far as politics you need to see this film because of of just understanding the times that we were in and and how Reagan you know came to be basically and Dennis you did such a great job in putting on his skin yeah yeah that was a process that's for sure he was my favorite President so it was like really had a like a lightning bolt of fear when they offered me the part but uh but I wanted to play him you know as a person not as a you know an impersonation of him and he's so well known so it took me a while to really uh be able to feel him out I I lucky I had time to uh take that time but I went to the Reagan Ranch and that's where I really could feel him it's more than an impersonation or an impression it's it's literally understanding who he was and getting the the tone right the tonality of him right it's almost like learning how to sing I would imagine well also and you had this as well it's you know our voices when we're young I play him from 35 to yeah there is a difference the beginning his voice is way up here spectrum of me it takes a long time to get so it's she's all giddy when she meets him and she was an actress and Aspire you know and here we she followed his career and was very enamored and that was so cute to see the the beginnings of this incredible relationship that they had and seeing this love story evolved throughout the film and that partnership and that Fierce beautiful bond that they had and I think that's what also is you talked about made him become the man that he became all of that that you see throughout the film from his childhood to his relationship with his parents and so on and so you know his first wife that and then this love story which they became the power couple and uh she was there to support her man and he stopped being the actor and became the politician and she was all there and her strength um just keeps kept growing and growing it was such a beautiful um uh almost like a like a flower blooming yeah it's like they were an example of what an incredible relationship can do for your life you know it it brings out your best self and that that's what they did for each other I think and he's so it is a love story it is a love and he wrote her a love note every day she has a book published called I love you Ronnie because he wanted to show his appreciation of her love for him and I think it was something he never thought would happen to him and would exist and I think once he realized how devoted she was and how he could trust her implicit ly and give and Infuse him with that confidence I think he wanted to show his appreciation and people don't do that enough people don't show their appreciation you know we bicker and criticize each other but to lift each other can I just take this opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate how great it was to work with you oh I love you Ronnie um but they did they had a beautiful love story and uh I think it's fun to watch so I appreciate you saying that uh Dennis in our final moments what you think audiences are going to take away from watching Reagan I want them to be entertained that's you know that's what movies are for and to feel things yeah yeah uh this movie is not a history lesson it's really about us you know H as as much as is about Reagan and uh if you if you see the movie you're born before 1985 or after 1985 you'll see what this country used to be like and how great it still can be thank you both so much our time is up and uh I hope to catch you again someday soon thank you thanks bye bye
