Get you on out here this morning though DFW airport. We've been talking about a lot of folks that will be traveling later this week as well. Not gonna have any issues today. 80 degrees taking you out to DFW feels like it's 83 out there. So not too muggy here this morning. We'll have some mid upper seventies though, along the Red River heading out to Sherman at 75 or 7975. Getting out the bottom right now, we've cooled off to 70 heading over to Greenville, 69 even heading out the Sulfur springs. But while those upper seventies coming back out to watch the hatch in Fort Worth, you're still at 80 degrees. Now, those highs today gonna be a bit above average upper nineties though. So not getting too out of hand as we'll be looking at 97 maybe 98 heading over toward Fort Worth. That will be the case up around Denton as well. 96 to 97 for you. So, pretty much in the upper nineties anywhere you go. Now, lower nineties farther south, we'll have a few more clouds and I think a little bit better chance of getting down into central Texas today for some isolated showers. But I doubt we'll see much of any of that around here. You see that broad area of circulation as we head down into the uh gulf right now. So that's spreading the showers along Louisiana and middle upper Texas coast. So there will be some rain and thunderstorm activity in and around Galveston up toward Houston and again, maybe one or two getting up into central Texas today, I think some better chances for us are still gonna be on the slight side tomorrow. That one of those uh stray showers may work their way north of the Red River as we get into tomorrow afternoon. Now, those temperatures, as you might expect only in the upper eighties for Houston today, heading over to San Antonio and Austin. But as we get farther north, those temperatures do heat up a little bit more. So we'll be in the upper nineties around most of North Texas as we just talked about. That will be the case across the Panhandle north of the Red River today as well with Oklahoma City topping out around 95. So still pretty steamy out there for us. Uh We go through the day today. Now, rain changes over the next few days heading into Labor Day, a stray shower or two can't be ruled out maybe a thunderstorm as we get into Tuesday coverage 20% at best, maybe even less than that tomorrow, heading on into Wednesday as well. But then later in the week here comes that cold front that we've been talking about, it drops into the area that's gonna help enhance our chances for those of showers and thunderstorms beginning on Friday, going into Saturday, Sunday and right on into Labor Day, Monday, we'll have at least some scattered showers around won't be raining the entire time. Not everyone will see rain. So right now it looks like it's gonna be pretty scattered and we're not anticipating severe weather. So that's the good news, but there will be some welcomed rain in some areas and those temperatures, of course, with the cloud cover and the chance for some showers and storms will certainly be coming down as well. Now, as we look at the rainfall forecast again, nothing real widespread but about a quarter to maybe upwards of a half an inch of rain, something to look forward to as we get into the upcoming weekend. Now, the temperatures though, that's gonna be the other story. We'll keep it in the upper nineties through Thursday and look at that heat index. It climbs this week as well. So it's gonna get up over 100 Wednesday going into Thursday, heading into Friday. But those temperatures do begin to come down a little bit more as we look at that day forecast for you. We'll have those mid nineties through the upcoming weekend, but they're the rain changes by Friday about a 30% coverage Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And then as we look on into Labor Day the following week, only around 90 degrees next Monday with the rain chances about 30 40% even as we head into the early part of next week. And we'll keep those temperatures on the cooler side of things. Lower nineties through the end of next week.
