yes we are talking about the desert heat in Arizona Phoenix specifically a 100 days in a row above 100° fah as of yesterday and that translates into about 37.8 de fight Celsius pardon me the old record was 76 days consecutively back in 1993 and today will likely be1 42° C that's about 108° F now normally what happens between about July and mid-september we get the Southwest Monsoon we get the moisture from the Gulf of California and the Gulf of Mexico and that brings this region its basically the bulk of its annual rainfall with thunderstorms and also brings a bit of cooler weather with it well they have really failed to materialize and as a result Phoenix is going to keep baking right along now a portion of that heat will be riding into western Canada in the coming days and through the weekend no you're not going to get 37° C but above 30 is achievable [Music] [Music]
