2024 BNM Summit: Clay Travis with Dave Greene

[Music] we are back here in the core image Studio Green Room clay Travis just got off the stage I did yes great to have you here the king of Grandma and Frat Boys I like to say that I bring America together I don't know that anybody does it with Grandma and Frat Boys that's the foundation of uh of of my my base now it's funny when I go out on the road for college football games or we're doing public events the Frat guys who have been outkick fans for a long time through the college football Universe like they like to gamble they love sports like we do at outkick uh but now the grandmas uh are also uh aware of us because the clay and buck show has gotten so big and Fox News is so massive and I'm on both pretty much daily and now they love me too so grandmas have great taste when it comes to their media figures and so boys you talked about on stage you know all the different amounts of people that are taking in your content you ever step back and think what that's a huge responsibility uh I don't think it's so much about the responsibility because I've worked so hard to get to that point over 20 years and I I think it's about stacking pretty good days boom boom boom to kind of grow that audience I do feel a tremendous privilege uh because the privilege that I have is I get to say exactly what I think and what I hear overwhelmingly from people when they come up to me is they don't feel in the American public like they have the same freedom to say what they believe because they're worried about their job or they're worried about taking care of their mortgage or or making sure their kids can go away to school uh and and that they can help with that and so over time we've stacked together for writing for radio for TV pretty substantial audiences and I feel like I have the best job in America to be able to say every single day exactly what I think so I remember when I started uh writing online in ' 04 thinking man I'd love to have 100 readers every day I'd love to have a th000 10,000 was a unbelievable goal and to uh to have reached the point where pretty much every day we have millions of people on on outkick certainly millions of people watching Fox News and millions of people listening to Clay and buck is a is an incredible uh feeling of accomplishment but I feel like there's a lot more yeah thank you for being here great a
