Nicole Kidman's Dance Dilemma in The Perfect Couple | Behind the Scenes & Cast Reactions

Nicole Kidman and the cast of the perfect couple were initially opposed to a dance scene proposed by director Suzanne beer for the film's opening Kidman who plays Greer windbury felt that her character would be more of a spectator than a participant in the dance because I didn't feel like Greer would dance I felt like Greer would watch Kidman shared in a WhatsApp group created by the cast to voice their objections despite their initial resistance Kidman eventually warmed to the idea I think it's great and I'm so glad they got us all to do it there's some joy in it she said after performing the dance as Greer her change of heart highlighted a shift in her perspective recognizing the fun and energy the scene brought to the film in contrast shriber who plays Greer's husband tag winbury was supportive of the dance from the beginning he revealed that he was not part of the WhatsApp group opposing the scene and was already rehearsing his moves the entire cast had a mutiny about this idea except for me shriber said he expressed his enthusiasm for dancing although he was somewhat disappointed that his performance wasn't featured more prominently in the film ultimately while the dance scene faced resistance from Kidman and others initially it was embraced as a positive addition to the movie contributing a touch of joy and levity to the film
