What do you think that was a
good team? I felt like the start of the
series struggled a little bit with that and I was able to create some The
Mists of pitches today. Some top plays out of the
defense. Just how frustrating is that for you on the mound?
When I think perhaps you're getting outs and it doesn't work
out that way. I mean you know I'm trying to control
what I can control. Other than that, once once the ball leaves my hand,
and the pitch is made, you know, there's nothing I can
do about it, whether whether there was or
not, you know, possibly to catch it. I don't know. But I cannot control what the pitch. That's the moment. It seemed like the Rings really
come down. They're in that fourth. And
yeah, I feel like that but I kind of played a role in
some of those displays enough work. Yes, tough. I mean I clearly saw the ground
ball out of will be there's like had a bad hop and it's get
it through his glove. I mean he makes that play 10 out of 10
times and other than that, for me,
it's you know, what the time with the
pitch clock and trying to get a grip and getting the signs
from the catcher, it's just a lot when the rain is
coming down. It's tough to keep the ball dry. There's so many elements that
come into that and keep the ball Drive make and try to
make them try and execute a
pitch stuff. Where did you want that
ball to Baker? I mean 32 he has made a couple, I think I made a couple of good
pitches for him to fall off, didn't get a swing and Miss like
we talked about earlier and I thought that side or just
ran back into much on his back. Trying to win division here. The
way the teams play the last week is that what do you think
of the losing four or five overall,
with how much you guys have an aligned right now? Yeah, I mean I think I've said it before but
you know with as bad as people think we're playing and as bad
as you know it might show that we're playing we're still with certain first
place. So it goes to show that it's there for us to take just going to come out every day
prepared and and be be ready to win every
single day. Back out there. Yeah it's great. I mean I'll bend it a amazing
job for us the time he was here research just Veteran presence
that is going to get pitches and feel like contribute like you
did today. I think he got three hits today. I don't know what it
was but just just him being a lineup. Makes a line up a lot longer definitely a threat for the Home
Run ball and you know it's fun to have them
back there and obviously his defense is almost impeccable so it's great to have in their
bubbles in the ball, off the bat that play in the second
on the Donovan Bowl. They're saying, no, I saw it all
the way I saw the wall the way, but definitely, when he
hates it, I thought he was going to be
like a high pop on and any fuel and then the boat just take off
the wind helped a little bit to push the
ball, even farther to the wall and I eat dates ended up out of my
reach. Did you feel like when was an issue all day out there
for? You know, they, the beginning of the game.
Definitely, it was a little tricky with all the rain and the, and the wind and All the
stuff in it. Can you kind of take me
through that one? I mean, he just hate a long drive, he got a good
B being and just went over my head. Is it today just the way that
you guys came all the way back like you did, and then just have
it fall apart so soon, right after that, you just part of baseball and then we
grind through it. I think all friends, who were
right there, we almost got the The Comeback set it up,
but we fell short, definitely, they came out
swinging the bat. Well today, I mean, they have two guys with
two three guys before hit something like that, and it was They just beat us. Maybe hasn't been playing their
best baseball, the last week. Tina is just part of baseball. You know, things are going to go open
Downs all the way, but definitely, this is the right
time to get hot and goes all the way to the end. It's not that easy that as it
looks out there. So we definitely try and we all trying
to win games. I bet you any of any of these
guys in this club house, no one else wants to lose. I mean,
everybody here has a goal. Then we all trying to win every day
but things happens is inconsistency of surprise.
You a little bit. When you see all the names that are about the
lockers here. I mean no, no, no. We got some
injuries throughout the year to so that's just kind of tough to take it but like I say base is baseball.
It's you can't predict what is going to happen
at the end of the year or was going to happen throughout the
year. Definitely is going to be
harder. So we just got to keep our head up and keep moving
forward, but, you know, it's gonna be a big cities out
there that we got to go through it and Take it and get moving. Just what have you been seeing lately? He's been swinging the bat. Well
I mean you still hate me in d.c. He was swinging it about all over the
field. I'm really happy for him. I feel like he's getting
comfortable down there. He's have been the bottom of the
lineup and more more excited to see what he can
do. All the way to there. How nice was it? You get Anthony
Rizzo back today. He's great, he's great. I mean,
another bedroom player that knows what to do and big
situations and he just showed up to that. I know the result wasn't there
too much, but just a lot of fun being out
there. A lot of Joy being out there. And definitely just felt normal
being back, couple hits for you. Were you pleased with what
you are seeing the ball? Well, yeah, I mean, I feel like I haven't seen her
really well. Just coming back and hitting,
and definitely felt comfortable in
the batter's box. And it's good to get a couple
results, early any hesitation at all with your arm when you're out
there. You think about it at all? No, not really. I mean, maybe a
little in the back there but I think when I played the first
rehab, I've game it all that hesitation went away and I felt
really good and feel really strong Understanding you just got back
but this team is kind of struggled. The last week was in
four or five to two teams at least start in the series work
for under 500. Just, what do you make of the last week and
how do you guys get yourselves back on track? That's just part of it. It's a, you know we we have the days are numbered now and every game is going to be more
meaningful moving forward but you know teams are teams are really good competition. This
year seems like it's better than ever everywhere. And I'm just going to lay down. How
would you describe the weather being a? Doctor today in these early
Innings, I was a tough for Nestor.
They're kind of bad that bad skip that Volpe God. But I mean, there's all factors
in this game and that's what makes it so beautiful.
