law office is one call that's all Studio at the Avenue in downtown Milwaukee alongside former Packer Brian Baga here's Emmy Award winner [Music] Homer [Music] aous the best 60 Minutes of your day the Briant Baga Homer hour I just want to make it clear not on any birthday have I or will I ever get a Lea floor uh this was a discussion with Brad nortman who celebrates his 35th birthday I think today that right [Music] I joined now by the doctor of football Brian Baga Brian why will I never get a leaf blower for my birthday I mean I think I mean I don't think you do yard work I mean I think you've made that clear before no I actually do some I I do my kids yard work it's pathetic but you know why you know why I just wanted to didn't know there's no way you know this like I want a damn leaf blower I'm going to go buy a leaf blower what am I going to get for my next birthday laundry detergent what come on come on a leaf blower now only I I'm very challenged by leaf blowers because um they're available all over the place now and you get cheap but of course I always get my cheap stuff at Aldi's incredibly I think I got a leaf blower for $28 or something and a good leaf blower but I don't want one for my birthday it could just time up really well that he was going to go get one and he told his wife oh yeah I'm gonna get a leaf blower and she goes oh well why why don't you wait I'll get one for you in a week as a birthday present no things you should never get as a birthday present underwear is underwear okay for a birthday present maybe for a woman possibly but not not for a man no let's see what else um socks socks yes Sho strings socks uh tie u a a wrench uh screwdriver hammer I mean Brian bulaga when you want a hammer and you need Hammer I know what you do you go out and get the hammer the day you need it the moment you need it and take care of business accordingly right correct yes I do I I mean I think that's why my wife hates shopping for me in general because if I need it I'll just go get it immediately it's not like uh I leave it up to someone else to get it for me I I'll just go get it myself it's the only thing we probably have in common they stopped getting me birthday presents the only birthday present and I didn't take back was a picture of The Three Stooges spectacular picture frame picture yeah now that's sh all three no no oh there's no shm I'd have busted I'd have busted that one shm is not a three The Three Stooges is curlyy and whoever the other two are it doesn't matter who the other two are that would be the likely ones but uh there's Curley and the rest of them it's like who's on the Bulls Michael Jordan and the rest of them Curley is the Michael Jordan of the of the three stoes but yeah what if you need anything I don't believe there's anything in your life that you don't when you don't need you don't get maybe clothes you might let your wife buy a shirt or something I need a shirt I need a tie go ahead and take care of it I don't know do you buy your shirts and your clothes I don't know yeah I mean well like I don't really buy I don't really wear anything fancy you know what I mean like I'm not traveling I'm not going like like I wear a t-shirt and shorts every day yeah that's what I wear every day like it's not so like no she doesn't buy stuff like that and like but what's weed killer next let's get one of those weed killer this year I get a leaf blower tomorrow I get a we a weed whacker whatever they call them now they're they you use it trimmer and a weed whacker at the same I use a weed whacker as my trimmer actually um yeah you could do that certainly do that um but anyway all right enough on that a leaf blower for birthday man wow it's the thought that counts I mean yeah and the thought is ain't no way he's going to get a leaf blower hey you want a leaf blower go buy a leaf blower H we'll go out to have dinner somewhere nice yeah maybe go on a vacation get me uh yeah that's like getting car washes hey for your birthday I got you 10 car washes oh who yeah yeah we are certainly in love oh my gosh see dinner's good with me just a nice dinner I'm good with that like I'm very very simple dinner couple cocktails and let's let's call see this is a question that's more than I should ask but I have to ask it I'm guessing despite all the money you've made millions that you're the same person I I don't even know maybe like you're allowed to maybe buy a farm or do certain things you could do but I bet if I ask somebody they would say Brian belaga is the same as was the first day he showed up Iowa when he had no money most likely cuz like yeah I mean you know you get money and you're able to have things that you were never able to have or or things like that but like now that you know you grow up a little bit and you just enjoy the Simplicity of life like it that's really like what I enjoy like I enjoy just you know driving a pickup truck going to work out you bought I think if I had your money I would probably buy a second home somewhere I well I I did I bought the property out in the middle of the State of Florida I go to quite a bit and that's it's about what Seven Acres I go out there and just kind of Tinker around mosy around and that's that's what I do for fun and I play golf I play golf I mean I think that would be something that people would probably but you didn't join the most elite country club now because you have all this money there's no way no I no there there really isn't one where I'm at so like it's just you know I I belong to a club but it's not like I went and joined seminal in Florida where all the pros and people like I didn't do that uh I just like you know I people always like what I you know what I would rather do I'd rather just I'd rather hang out at the house I don't like going out and doing crazy things like I just like hanging out at the house you're already 65 and you're only 35 what are you going to do the next 30 oh you're going to watch your kids and uh yeah and like you know we do a vacation every now and again like right I mean like it's not like we're doing these things all the time because you know like obviously with the kids growing up and they got stuff like I just like to I like to hang out I like to Tinker I like to cut my own grass like it's just stuff that I enjoy doing like it's you know it's fun which you would which you would be exactly the same way if you would have actually graduated from college and then got a regular job right a a real job no no I no I'm not going to say that the NFL is a real job I mean it's not it's a real real real job and it's it's a tribute it's there a lot of words um very very very very few ever play in the NFL it's an honor of to been able to play and you get paid accordingly because I think in all uh countries in all societies entertainers do really really well people appreciate entertainment here it's football but yep other countries it can be other things and they do really well all right now we get to the discount liquor Twitter poll question Pebble you ready for this so I I I said somebody said this about the election they said you want to know the election find out what the Gamble are saying because they'll have the best idea cuz they're putting their their money on the line and I said all right let's find out about Mal Willis let's see what the gamblers are saying all right if I bet a 100 Brian I win 128 if he doesn't throw an interception he doesn't have to do anything just don't throw an interception if I P if I predict he will throw an interception just one I've got to pay like 135 to win 100 I bet 100 I win 128 if all he does is hand the ball off every play is that's seems so so they they like him to throw an interception yeah they think he's going to throw one yeah at least one I mean yeah at least one uh you know yeah now you gotta think yeah now we find out what you really believe yeah yeah I mean I listen I want to bet the I want to bet the hund I don't think he's going to throw that many and I don't know I haven't I don't know someone would have to do the research on the Homer Institute that's probably Sean as to whether it's viewed that he throws a lot of interceptions I don't I don't think he throws enough he throws I mean if he throws the ball over 22 times I'd be shocked right like I think the only way he does that is if the Colts go crazy on offense like honest like I think that's the only way he goes over 22 23 attempts right so like and I expect a lot of them in the flat I expect them short to the tight ends or different things yep I feel good about the guy not throwing a pick in 22 23 attempts like I feel really good about that actually well he he did throw in 61 attempts with Tennessee in 22 he did have three interceptions um okay so one so one every 20 something attempts yeah but okay well okay that why the odds are that that might explain also I did not realize Gus Bradley is their defensive coordinator yep like he's he's good he was he went College a little bit too didn't he and then or was a head no he was head coach in the NFL he was so good defensively got a head coach yeah yeah Jack yep well no one did good in Jacksonville for a while but I don't know his particular style you alluded to it a little bit I know that he was very highly respected as a uh as a defensive coordinator he's that that kind of tree of the Pete Carol cover three scheme so like you look at the 49ers do it uh Green Bay is now doing it or or a version of it like there's a bunch of different versions of it like Salah came from there with the Jets like so there there's a lot of people who run Gus Bradley's style and came off of that coaching tree with him from Seattle and everything like that um the only thing is like like with Vic vanio and his style of Defense normally the guy who all these people Branch off from he's normally the best at calling it like that's normally the way it goes like yeah the the people that Branch off and become head coaches or defensive coordinate themselves they they do a good job I mean I think we've seen Salah do a great job in in San Francisco calling the defense and and obviously the 49ers now still do it and and like we see success but normally the originator the original coach that does it is really good at it and Gus Bradley is a is a really good Deco coordinator and like I said I got to spend some time with him when he was a coach in La smart guy yeah he he's a he's a really good dude too he's smart pretty intense or is that am I right there or maybe I'm making that up he he he can be at times but normally he's pretty he's pretty calm North Dakota state is his background I wanted to read to you because I didn't look at it you talked about but he joined the Tampa Bay buck in ' 06 and worked closely with Moni kein uh in 2007 he was promoted to linebacker coach after Joe Barry left to be with the Detroit Lions so there's a connection how about that yeah I think I think Gus Bradley has been uh so anyway yeah he uh he was fantastic with Seattle and their great team and I'm not sure he didn't have great talent but anyway so I don't know what um because he's the defensive coordinator is is it aggressive do you think he'll he'll uh put a lot of pressure on Willis or uh what will he attempt to do uh that will increase the possibility of a interception which would cost me money well I mean what what I think he's going to do and because he's a smart guy he understands the predicament the Packers are in right like he gets it and I mean they're watching the tape of Malik Willis and they're seeing what he did in Tennessee and his strength and weaknesses and things like that uh he knows he's going to make the Packers beat them in the air like you're going to beat us in the air you're not beating us on the ground so they're going to have seven to eight guys in the Box a lot or the eighth is going to be an option to come down in the Box I'm sure on the snap or when it's shown so you're probably looking at your four down probably two maybe three linebackers how however they're going to do it and then the extra safety flying I don't know what you know because they're the Packers are going to have to throw them out of that defense right they're going to have to prove that we can throw the football on you to get them into nickel and that's going to be the part I think for Green Bay is proving to Gus Bradley that we can threaten you down the field to get you out of playing Bas defense and having three linebackers on the field like you need to prove it so that's going to be where where laflor and stovic are going to have to scheme this thing to make sure the Colts are thinking about that that they got to protect downfield cuz like listen I mean yeah you can throw the football and be effective throwing the short to Mid range game but they can stay in that defense right if you're thrown underneath and you're thrown to the flat and you're throwing quick routes they can stay in that defense and still take away your run the minute you start to stretch the field on them a little bit and make those linebackers cover receivers in space they got to get out of it they got to get to Nicholls to be fair to Joe Barry last year the Colts defense was 28th in points uh the Packers with Joe Barry were 10th um so anyway they were high in sacks they were fifth yeah I mean which which is fine but we're we're looking at this with our backup quarterback in there yeah like you know what I mean like that's like if this was Jord Love I'd feel great about this week I'd feel really good about it I really would but like this is a different scenario so we got to look at this as you know from the defensive perspective we're putting all the pressure on him we're making him beat us and prove it and because the last thing I mean they got absolutely ripped apart by Houston in the Run game last week right and that was with CJ strout and that great wide receiving group and that really good offense for one that's already going to be an emphasis of them is we're not getting gashed in the run like this again and then to top it off we have a backup quarterback that hasn't had a bunch of success throwing the football in the NFL when he has started so you put those two things together they are going to focus on the Run game and make our backup quarterback win the football game and and that's that's going to be where the game's decided and and you know what like we have enough weapons around him to make that possible J jayen Jen yeah we got plenty of weapons so like to say that he has to go do manufacture this thing on his own is like the farthest thing you can even is the farthest stretch you can imagine he just has to be accurate he has to be smart and if he does those things these receivers are going to get open for him but you got to threaten that defense to get him out of Base defense so that we can have the option to run anth thr and that the play action game opens up a little bit so that's what I'm going to be really dialed in on early on is what personnel the Colts are rolling out against whatever Personnel we have if we roll out 11 personnel you know one back one tight end the rest receivers and they're playing base defense they're daring Green Bay they are saying we don't think you can throw the football and we want you to show us that you can right like it's we're going to come after the quarterback and confuse the quarterback yes 100% And then we're going to show him different looks we're GNA you know like CU that's that's the mentality that a de coordinator going against a backup quarterback is going to have and especially one that has tape right the uh the uh I mentioned about the gaming but I think the Packers are scheduled to score about 19 points it has been a great segment but my time is done I get to sit back because the doctor of football Brian bulaga now with the Packer Professor Jason Wy next more of the Homer hour coming up next on 945 ESPN trouble continues on 4394 Northbound just about north hour on 945 ESPN yeah my favorite segment the professor of football ran bulaga gets to talk with Jason Wy and actually the doctor football I got confused I have so many nicknames um he and because he's nice he starts it cuz I'm not Jason good evening how are you good Brian I thought I was the am I the professor of football no you're the Packer you are the Packer professor and Brian bulaga is the doctor of football your expertise is the Packers I believe Brian bulaga's expertise transcends the Packers I think I think your nicknames are stupid thank you you're welcome well Jason I you know we I only have so much time with you on Thursday so I wanna I want to get to it and yeah for sure you know I guess the the big you know big thing out of today was Matt laflor said Jordan love was dayto day do is what are you hearing on that is it actually dayto day or is this just you know coach talk so apparently he uh told Larry McCaron that um again I don't I don't understand why we're doing this um you know he did say that Jordan can play without practicing he said that yesterday Jordan did not practice today um I I don't I don't know if I would like I would rather have if I'm lefl if I'm a Packers fan obviously I would rather have Jordan play with no practice than have a guy that has been with the team for 18 days play um with all the practice reps all week long um so I get that part of it I I just again you've talked about mcl's you've had them yourself the pain tolerance Etc I just don't see them I'll be very very very surprised if he's playing on Sunday I just don't see them doing it right away uh the first game after the injury I guess I wouldn't uh rule out Tennessee but in my mind he is not playing on Sunday against the Colts and if he runs out of that tunnel uh we're number 10 and active and starts the game I will apologize to all of our listeners for misreading the situation but um I I based on the way that they have talked and the he's got to get cleared and I I kind of entrapped leflour a little bit during the press conference today with one of my questions about the challenge of getting the team ready when a backup quarterback is going to play I thought some of his answers you know kind of betrayed what is really going on um you know Steno was very careful about his answers too they've clearly coach the players to keep this as a possibility um but the bottom line is is uh I I'm about 99 I I would never say 100% like Homer does but I'm about 99.9% certain that uh Malik Willis will be your quarterback on Sunday okay so if that is the case what has the team or what what has been kind of the I don't know the morale around Malik Willis this week with the guys on the roster does it seem like they're they're trusting in them like or is it just kind of seem like we don't know we're about to find out this guy's been here for two weeks we have no idea about anything about him yet or is there a little more positivity around it yeah I think there's some positivity but that's kind of what you're required to do whether you fully believe it or not so the authenticity of that I'm not I'm not sure I I would say this and Brian do you you know being the uh Stellar athlete that you were both as a high schooler and at Iowa before your NFL career did you ever play hockey no no okay so so early in my career I covered uh University of Wisconsin men's hockey before they even had a women's program and uh early in my career they had the alltime winningest golender in school history his name was Dwayne durksen as their goalie and they were going into the then the WC WCHA that was the conference the hockey team played in the western Collegiate Hockey Association they were the top seed in the conference they go into the tournament and in the first game Dwayne derkson gets slashed by a skate gets a huge GH can't play the rest of the postseason they're an NCA tournaments team and he was among the best goalies in in college hockey and so their backup was a guy named John mizzy that some uh snarky Sports writers called John Civ iizzy because he wasn't nearly as good as durksen he was the backup for a reason right and I have never seen defensemen in the game of hockey throw their body at pucks and work their tail off every shift to try and limit the number of shots on goal that John mizzy faced during the wch PLS and then during uh their NCA tournament birth and what I believe is is that while they want that guy to succeed there's also a lower level of confidence obviously compared to say Jordan love versus Malik Willis so I think if there's anything it's not necessarily an optimism it's a okay we have got to raise our play to help him succeed and whether that's the line whether that's Josh Jacobs you obviously want to say well I play at the same high pitched Top Flight level every single snap but we all know that's not true but if you're out there with the backup quarterback I would think that you would try to ratchet it up and it's and it's lefleur's job to find a way to kind of tell him hey that's great we want you to ratchet it up but don't try to do more than you're supposed to because that's as lefur said to me today that's when mistakes happen so I don't know I am fascinated by the psychology of this LeFleur wants no part of that conversation he just wants to talk about football and how they've come up with the right X's and O's to give Malik Willis a chance to succeed but I I'm with you I'm curious about what the authentic morale and optimism and attitude is of those players yeah I mean that that's and and listen it's a you said it it's a tough situation to be in as a player when a backup QB goes in yes you got to say the right things you have to be positive you have to in your mind like you said take care of your business and do it a little bit higher but when when you think about that as an athlete on the field you sometimes tend to do too much and too much leads to bad things and and that's what they have to try to avoid uh which listen I I I they got enough weapons on this team that Malik Willis just has to be in control and control the football game he doesn't have to he doesn't have to be Jordan love but it's all based on what lefl schemes and and does it and and how they execute it we'll move I just want to move over to the defensive side of the ball what has kind of been the message from those guys this week obviously the new scheme you know go perfect against the Eagles they did get the three takeaways which is fantastic but obviously would have preferred to not give up as many points how is the messaging on that side of the football going into this game when they know it's a big week for them they they gota they kind of have to be the side of the ball that play Evan Williams more how about that well that's they are going to so we did talk to half Le real quick on the offensive side I did think it was interesting I asked Steno about the idea of how do you run the football when everybody in the building knows you're going to want to run the football to take the heat off uh your backup quarterback and I thought it was interesting he basically said look if the defense is going to load the box and dare us to to throw the football we're going to take what the defense gives us and we think Malik can make those throws to the guys that we have we got a lot of talent at wide receiver so I I at least I don't know if they'll actually be able to do it in the game but their their attitude is that if they're going to DARE us to throw the football we're going to throw the football on them and you know I don't know how I don't know how effectively Malik Willis will do that if you look at his three starts as a rookie for Tennessee he did not throw the football very often for them they did have derck Henry on their team uh the Packers do have Josh Jacobs but it'll be interesting to see how that plays out we did talk to Halley today uh at length we had him for almost 20 minutes and you know I I I kind of said look I don't want to you I know you don't need me to make excuses for your guys but when you don't play in the preseason uh I remember when Dom Capers came in in ' 09 he played his guys and he ran his stuff and his attitude was I don't care if it's on film these guys need to do it so they know what the hell they're doing when the game start and Halle and the Packers obviously did not take that approach and you kind of saw what you saw um especially during that long drive at the end and he was very blunt he said I don't we don't need to make excuses it wasn't good enough uh they got the takeaways which was good uh but they had some bad run fits there was the the touchdown run that saquan Barkley had where they had Eder and Cooper on the field and he misaligned and there was all this kind of miscommunication and trying to get him lined up and they they took Edan Cooper out of the game after that then later they reinserted him so he could get some more opportunities but you know they were not good enough and he flat out halfly said that so he doesn't need me to say that but he said it and you know leflour predicted that the biggest jump will be from week one to week two for a group that hadn't played a lot at all together in the preseason and we'll see if that's actually the case this is a team with a really good offensive line obviously an elite back uh a guy a quarterback who is Young and inexperienced but big you know halfly said he looks like a defensive end uh and can throw the ball a country mile so uh whether or not you know their defense can carry the team and make it so Malik Willis has to do very little to win the game uh I think that would certainly make life easier for everyone but I'm eager to see how they bounce back because they got the takeways they deserve credit for that but uh when you know when saquin Barkley's able to do what he did against them uh and that's a talented offense don't get me wrong but I I I second uh Jeff Halley's opinion that definitely wasn't good enough and uh while it might be better in the long run than the Joe Barry system uh it definitely was not appreciably better last Friday we are out of time but that means that only the doctor of football Brian bulaga can ask one more question for Jason Wy if you would like the only I mean I guess I know Jason you're on all the pregame shows and and everything like that besides obviously if the backup quarterback's in playing well what do you think the key is to this game what position group do you think has to dial it in this week and play their best ball for this team to get a win when really the Packers are home dogs which I haven't seen a long time yeah well I spent too much time with offensive linemen clearly because I'm goingon to say the offensive line and you know we we've talked about how good Zack Tom is you know steno said that both uh Jordan Morgan and Shawn Ryan did good things and then they did not so good things so they're going to keep that rotation going uh to me the biggest thing is uh what is Josh Myers going to do to make it easier he already handles all the Run declarations he told me that he's going to have to do some of the pass calls on the line of scrimmage and he's prepared for that um but he's gotta he's got to play really well and I think when you watch the film we talked about this uh yesterday you know he wasn't terrible but he certainly wasn't Top Flight so uh he needs to play well that whole group needs to play well and if they are going to try and run the ball uh they have to find ways for it to be productive because otherwise uh they got no chance thanks Jason all right guys take care be good Jason Wy all Packers all the time and we'll get back I really want to ask him if he thinks I should make that bet uh as far as uh Malik Willis will not throw an interception bet 100 win 128 but the uh Twitter has spoken 73% certified products which means you can count on them to provide only the good stuff none of the bad stuff seven locations monomon has the new brick and mortar store most people seem to use the drive-thru now my favorite part Higher Love cannabis company less than an hour from Green Bay less than an hour from Green Bay I haven't figured out exactly how many minutes and also Higher Love is exactly 2 hours and 18 minutes Higher Love cannabis Company 2 hours and 18 minutes from downtown Milwaukee it is the doctor of football Brian waga he just got finished with the Packer Professor Jason Wy who then told me my nicknames were stupid that's fine they're not his nicknames they're my nicknames I don't I I don't think they're bad I don't think the professor of Packers is a bad nickname no I I uh I get mad at Jason when he qualifies so many things Jason has the rare ability and I never saw it because reporters he has the rare ability to be nice nice to everybody and yet when he he'll still ask him tough questions and they'll answer it like nobody ever thought of wanting to be nice to the players I got a job I ask you questions you answer them would you answer the questions if you weren't getting paid to do it no I don't care what I think Jason how are the kids I I mean I was there I don't know how many years no one ever asked to player about the kids or anything you just it was a job but Jason cares and he's nice and yet he will still ask the tough question that con that combination is very rare and the players will answer so it's amazing to watch that's what goes hand inand I think that's why he's so good at it um because guys feel comfortable speaking to him they trust him that he's not going to misquote something they say it may be a tough article that he's writing on somebody or or someone else he will do it even though he treats players more like friends than I would say other reporters I I can't speak further words other than I do and never did but the thing is like the thing is what I always thought is that he was fair right like I mean it wasn't like he was or even now the same way he does it not like he's not writing something that is completely wildly opinion based I mean he's taking it and he's looking at it and he's talking to guys and he's getting accurate statements and writing articles about it and to me that's as a player when you're being interviewed that way and I mean just look at it internally especially if you're the one that the story's on and if you're not having a great stretch of games like one you got to face the music regardless like you got to go face the music like it's not like everyone has to be responsible no you you can hide in the trainer's room you can you can duck it you can duck it there's there's no point at some point you're gonna have to you can't hide until you finally play a good game like that's that's ridiculous like I mean eventually you're going to have to face the music and and how those questions get asked and how you know you get quoted on them and and what the story comes on on makes a big impact on how guys view certain reporters and and how they give interviews so like Jason does a good job of that being able to balance that really well and I think that's why so many guys trust him talking with the doct football Brian bulaga I can't speak uh because I was never an offensive lineman but can tell you how I would view any backup that comes in I don't care what you do just don't turn the damn ball over all right just don't yeah don't turn it over but I don't know if that's a view that an offensive lineman has about a quarterback all the time that the most important thing is don't turn the ball over am I over exaggerating that or is that a belief not talked about a belief talked about or what yeah I mean think as offensive lineman I mean the the turnover obviously affects everybody and you know there's a lot of things that go into that so obviously no we don't want to turn the football over and and because I I mean that's going to impact everyone negatively offense defense special teams I think what I always looked at as kind of important for a backup QB was to not take unnecessary hits and sacks because the momentum that gives the other defense like already knowing we're to our backup quarterback and if they're hitting him and rattling him because he's holding out of the ball too long he's not sure if he's seeing the right read and he and he double pumps it and takes a hit like that gives more confidence and more Swagger to the other side of the football so like I always looked at as like let's take the confidence out of the guys across from us as soon as possible that like this isn't going to be a normal backup quarterback game like we're going to come in here and we're going to we're going to battle you and we're going to play well and like obviously if he's taking hits and things like that the turnovers can happen right fumbles and and getting hit while he's thrown it like that's all part of it but I just didn't like to see our our backup quarterbacks I mean didn't like to see the starter get hurt I mean obviously but you don't want to see the backup guy taking shots because it just shows I I don't know I always looked it as like a little bit of a fragility of a team that isn't confident right like they're not like they don't feel good about what they're doing out there and that's why I always like when we had backup QBs like the line so do you get in the H go way to go or you're doing great or I don't know you said I don't know how much we talked about how much discussion there is in the Huddle is it different with a backup quarterback or is that oh yeah always giving them confidence always giving them confidence always you know hey hey good throw good you know as your he makes a good throw and you're jogging down the field to get in a huddle let them know hey great throw great read or hey thanks for getting out of the pocket you know good good check if you check from a run to a pass or vice versa and then when you get to the sideline like go over there give him a fist bump let him know he's doing well or if something doesn't go well go up to him like Hey we got it next Drive let's let's dial and let's focus in so like a lot of positive talk a lot of reinforcement because the last thing those guys want because they know they're replacing someone that's very important right like for me it was Aaron roders like you can't replace Aaron Rogers and then now right now it's Jordan love and you can't replace Jordan love and you don't want the backup guy quarterback does not want the rest of the teams thinking this guy can't do it like this this guy's the reason like they don't want that in their mind so you got to continue to positive you know positive encouragement and let them you know we're behind you we're fighting for you and we got this and and that's what I think the group will do this week if it is not Jordan love as Jason wiy predicts the fourth quarter with the doctor of football Brian bulaga next more of the Homer hour coming up next on 945 ESPN Wii and T did you get nervous as a player first of all like you know before matchups with Bruce Irvin or whatever it might have been presented by P windows and doors of thank them and then they thank me they think better of me because they actually listen to me about Fisco autobiotic because they're that good expert workmanship guarantee for the life of your vehicle Fisco auto body again on Forest Home in Franklin Fisco Fisco Fisco so you were remember the name it is the fourth quarter the final 2 minutes with Brian bulaga I don't believe anybody is confident about the Packers going at home against the Colts they are a home Underdog but that doesn't mean you can't win but everybody's worried Everybody's scared it's just a question of how much is that accurate or not I don't think scared is the right word but yeah I I don't think scared I think people are concerned I I think they're yeah there we go I'm going to write that down concerned yeah I think they're concerned and and rightfully so I mean again we we've talked about this even you know with other teams like you lose your starting quarterback and not every team has a great starting quarterback I think we have a really good one but you lose a really good starting quarterback and right away the team is in trouble and that's just the way it goes in the NFL and because do you think it's true of the salary cap they're just not paying a lot of money for veteran reserves so the reserves are iffy everywhere is that yeah I think I think so I mean you can't you can't stump up $5 million or $4 million for a backup QB that has a history in this league that's one games in the leag like tanah Hill is a great example right he doesn't have a job right now because he's probably demanding around four to five million then bonuses if he plays and you can spend the money better somewhere else given what you invested in your starter quarterback right yes exactly yeah I mean you can't pay a guy 55 million you can't we'll just put it this way it's hard to invest over $60 million into one position yearly it's very hard you can't it's it's the way the salary cap is I get it's going up but it's hard to do that so uh that's why we see what we see around the league like if a great starter gets hurt you're in trouble plain simple Packer score 20 points that's more than the oddsmakers say here's what I'm saying you tell me I'm wrong I'm getting the ball to Jaden Reed I get the ball I get him enough touches I think our offense can be doing enough now maybe I'm going too far and putting him at a level that he's not at but I know this Gus Bradley's got to worry about Jaden Reed I don't care who the quarterback is right or wrong oh yeah oh no you're right they're they're looking at Jaden Reed and they're looking at Jacobs and they're going if we if we eliminate these two they feel really good about it regard you know what I mean like they feel really good about their chances so they're going to make Willis beat that like I continue to say but if you take away Jacobs and Reed yeah like it those are the best offensive players at least the way they're playing and if you take those guys away I'll just people have to step up I and it becomes how good are the West those receivers I don't I don't know if I'm I'm Gus Bradley then just like you said I I'll take my chances with everybody else I cannot let Jaden Reed get in open space yeah cuz he's Dynamic very Dynamic all right would you make the bet bet 100 I win 128 if Malik Willis doesn't throw an interception tell me yes tell me yes even lie and tell me yes fine just do it just just just just press okay on the the best just H okay all right he's the best Brian Baga and I was nice to him cuz I didn't ask about Iowa Iowa State [Music] next things are winding down
