Burton movies you know what I'm saying so this video I'll have my top five also the two honorable mentions before I you know finish the video off yeah man overall like I said I'm doing this you know leading up to Beetle Juice Beetle Juice Beetle Juice 2 that's coming out today yeah so I'm going to check it out this weekend I'll have a review up for you guys sooner no sooner than later but yeah man so far just diving right into it so my last preview I mean my last video I stopped at number six like I said go check it out that way you know I don't want to spoil anything for you again spoils for this video If you haven't seen none of these movies please go check them out again I will have spoilers you know in this video so you don't want to look at the video hey click off come back later all right number five man PB Herman's Big Adventure this is Tim Burton's first movie my personal opinion this one holds up now PB Herman P Herman is a Crazy Character man he's pretty much a grown man with mental issues though talking chairs and talking I I don't know man P would just be on his own thing dog he be he would be on something else man but you know rip the Paul rman he passed away a couple years ago man but um yeah I mean p Herman was a real big show in the 80s and all this was like you know his first movie and this is also Tim B's first director you know direct tutorial to be really good movie man it's a very good movie like I said it stands up to the test of time very funny there still the stop motion aspect of it because you know back then CGI wasn't really big as it is now you know with you know technology and everything so Tim bur was really known for like using stop anim you know you know claymation and stuff like that in his movie so this movie really does have that and it it it works to the the whole peew Herman thing you know especially in the 80s and stuff like that so yeah man peew burn Peewee Herman's Big Adventure very good movie very funny and it also has like those weird creepy Tim Burton elements to it as well you know I mean there's a scene I never forget um man when peew Herman's like dreaming and there's like this clown doctor and all this kind of stuff and next thing you know he's being like I don't know like like a devil I mean it was it was weird it was weird but I mean that's hey man that's Tim style man Tim you know he's he's greater you know his what he does and yeah that really threw me for a loop when I first saw but yeah people heard big Advent big adventur is my number five my number four spot number four spot a lot of people may be like man you tripping having a number four I still love it though Edward Scissor Hands Edward Scissor Hands to me is like the quintessential it's up there with like Tim Burton's like oh yeah that's his movie like that's you know what I mean that's the movie movie that people know him by you know and this I think from what he said that it's kind of like a bio on his life in the way how he felt weird and growing up and stuff like that cuz I mean it's a suburban area you know and um you know late great Vincent Price you know this is I think his last movie before he passed away you know Timber was a big fan of his and stuff like that he did a whole clation video on him when he was young called uh Vincent which was really good very very good but yeah man I think it was Vincent Price last um you know moving I want to say this is giant Depp's first you know starring role that he stared in because now giant Depp now people forget a lot of big actors in Hollywood started out in horror movies Johnny Depp's first movie was nightmare nightmare on Elm Street the first Freddy Krueger he's in there matter of fact it says introducing Donnie Jeff when you look at the opening credits and if you haven't seen it he goes out pretty bad man Freddy killed the mess out of him but anyway you know getting back to it this is kind of like his first star and role you know of course he plays Edward SC hand you know pretty much who was a creation and he has actual scissors for hands and stuff like that Monona rers in the movie as well very good movie very Charming movie it's a lot of charm to the movie and you know it's all around it's a very good movie Man the music by Danny Elfman is great in this again of course Danny Elfman I stated before my last video he's like Tim Burton's main you know musical poser contributor so man Elfman did a great job on it Johnny Deb killed it here's another thing I went to the the MoMA in New York I think it's the Modern Museum of Art I forgive me if I messed up the name it was a couple years ago and I actually have the book as well so it was a whole exhibition of Tim Burton's work everything man I saw the original Batman Michael Keon Batman suit I saw the original puppets from Nightmare Before Christmas and I saw also Edward San Johnny Depp's actual costume that he wore in the movie tell you right now Johnny Depp had to been like this big bro yo pause but I mean like he was skinny man like when I saw that suit I said man he was real skinny dude to even like fit in that suit like that's insane I think they also had Michelle Fifer's costume up there from Catwoman so yeah man I was like wow you know that was really cool to see all it was like the whole music in they decked it out and all Tim Burton work so that was really that was a great really that was really one of the cool moments of my life but yeah that was um that was amazing to see in person you know what I'm saying so yeah Edward hands my number four again a great movie classic you know very classic now number three get into my number three number three is Beetlejuice I love Beetlejuice man Beetle juu again has that charm to it definitely has Tim bur and staple to it and it was original you know what I'm saying a lot of these movies that he came out with at the time nobody else did you know this is his own work this is his own creation and stuff like that so Beetlejuice was a very fun movie of course Danny Elman was another composer on there Michael Keaton was on there Winona rer uh man uh what's it Alec Ballwin so yeah this had a big cast man this had a big cast and it was very fun and even to this day I watched him not too long ago with my family still a funny movie still holds up with the stop you know with the claymation and everything like that and Michael Keaton just killed it in the role of beers and he's not in there very long if you look at I want to say he's in the whole movie for like under 20 minutes but in the and I mean the amount of time he was in there he absolutely killed it and that goes to another thing for the rest of the cast the rest of the cast really did carry that movie along you know building up the mysteriousness of you know Beetlejuice you know don't even say his name kind of like candy man so I mean it was just all around fun definitely has that Tim Burton like creepiness and you know afterlife to and everything like that and even though it is dealing with that kind of stuff it's still funny in way it has a comedy aspect to it yeah man so so my top five so far I got PB Herman's Big Adventure Edward Su hands and Beetle Juice now I do my honorable mentions before I do my top two honorable mentions first one Mars Attacks I don't know if you ever seen Mars attack Mars Attacks is good I want to say it came out in 1996 and again another Tim Burton creation man about aliens coming down but Little Green Men actually Little Green Men it's a very funny movie it's a funny movie but at the same time I don't want to say it's one of his strongest but it's still a fun movie has a big cast Jack Nicholson's in it oh man uh Pam Greer uh Pierce broen Michael J fox uh my goodness I think Sarah Michelle Gall it was a huge huge cast in that movie Man very very good movie man one thing I like about it too it feel like nobody was short chained you know what I mean everybody had their time to shine in the movie and stuff like that the only drawback I didn't like how the aliens went out with the whole music and everything play I said man that is stupidest thing but still it was fun I remember there was a lot of Big Marketing around it too when it came out so yeah Mars Attacks one of my honorable mentions and the second one Sleepy Hollow Sleepy Hollow also star Johnny de Christina Richi that came out I want to say 99 before 2000 that was a really good movie too of course it's a retelling of the Sleepy Hol tale you know but um in Tim Burton's way so it's darker it's violent it's weird but it's still a really good movie it's still a very good movie and I remember Sleepy Hollow from the Disney you know the old kabar crane I remember Sleepy Hollow from back then you know watching that you know reruns when I was a kid so seeing his take on and Sleepy Hollow was actually good so yeah my two honorable mentions you know that aren't in my top 10 but I still do Joy my lot is Mars attack and Sleepy Hollow so now top two Tim Bird movies of all time I love this movie I could recite this movie from front to back Batman '89 Batman '89 came out 1989 and Michael Keaton star Batman Jack Nicholson is a joker Kim Bas singer is uh Vicky Vil very good movie man it's a really good movie still holds up to this day and it really did Trail blaze a lot that you see in the superhero genre you know what I'm saying because back then Batman was known for like Adam West and stuff like that you know what I mean to the 60s up until Tim Burton it was just Adam West with the whole Biff B pal that whole kind of ordeal and everything like that so Tim Burton really did take that and took it into another level you know he took Batman back to the comics you know the darker side of Batman you know and I know Frank Miller's books were around that time too so that really did um was really resonated man in the that whole movie man from the costumes Jack Nicholson killed it as the Joker still great Keaton we know what he did killed his Batman the Batmobile still one of my favorite Batmobiles to this day I mean just the whole art aspect and everything of it how they built Gotham I mean from the music and everything of course Prince had his thing on there you know rest in peace to one of the greatest of all time you know the purple one Prince you know so yeah man Batman 89 was great man like I you know I'm a big superhero fan so that movie to this day I remember growing up going to my grandmother's house me and my brother watching that thing and my aunt's like Y watching that movie again but hey we loved it you know we loved it it was a real big movie you know to this day still a great movie man so yeah Batman 89 was my number two now my number one my favorite timbert movie all time now some people may push back on this but hey I'm willing to talk about it Nightmare Before Christmas now one of the main reasons why people would say PB because Tim Burton didn't direct Nightmare Before Christmas he actually said that he was so busy directing Batman Returns because Batman Returns came out 92 uh Night Before Christmas came out a year later in '93 telling you man he had a lot of hits bro from boom like he he was throwing out a lot of hits back then but yeah um Night Before Christmas he didn't have a chance to direct it but reason why I say it's number one because it's a Tim Burton's Night Before Christmas he wrote it these characters are his creation you know I would say in the book you actually look it up online the character Jack skon he created when he was a little boy actually it was like a Halloween costume that he made so these characters is stuff that he made this is from his own mind he just didn't have the chance to direct it now uh Henry selich you know who was the director he was also the director of Corine I want to say this is his directorial debut he did a great job man and you can see that resonating Coraline as well you know it's like they mirror each other but yeah man even though I know I know people probably like man that's not I still got it as my number one man like it's it's Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas he created it he wrote the poem to it the drawings you can actually look it up he drew it he created everything he just didn't have a chance to direct kind of like George Lucas with Star Wars you know what I mean uh of course he director the first stars but Empire Strikes Back and return of Jedi we know it was two different directors but even though he created that world and created it's similar to a Nightmare Before Christmas nightm before Christmas man with the Puppeteer it was so original when it came out I remember seeing it it just blowed my mind I was like yo this is so different it was just different I mean from the music of course Danny elfman's back there again and the music he also voices Jack Skeleton so yeah man an night for Christmas just absolutely it stands the test of time too man I mean especially around you know the end of the year October November December you just pop that movie on it just it fits the seasons you know what I mean and just absolutely it stands up man absolutely stands up I love that movie man like that's one of my favorite movies even my kids say man you love that I love that movie just really cool and very original man that's one thing I like about certain writers certain directors especially Tim like man his style may not be for everybody but it's his own style you know man it's the style that he created that he that he owns you know what I mean he created great pieces of work from it like from Nightmare Before Christmas Edward Scissor Hands Beetlejuice he didn't create Batman but he put his stamp on Batman you know what I mean all the way to you know um um oh man of course brde and all that kind of stuff you know so on and so forth so he has a really good resume he has a really good resume he worked with really big actors you know what I'm saying like say he has a few misses you know I mean one day I I'll say that for a video but this is my top 10 favorite 10 bur movies man so my number one Nightmare Before Christmas Batman 89 number two Edward Scissor Hands number three uh no I'm sorry Beetle Juice number three ever hands number four PB Herman's Big Adventure number five number six I got Sweeney Tod the demon f demon Barbera Fleet Street number six Batman Returns number seven number eight Edwood number nine big fish and number 10 I had a course BR so that's my top 10 the aror mentions were Sleepy Hollow and Mars Attacks you know what I mean so yeah man that's my top 10 Tim Bird movies along my arble mentions please don't forget to like share and subscribe to the channel leave a comment in the comment section
