College Football `24 - Week 1 - Georgia, Clemson, Alabama/ Kalen DeBoer, Texas A&M, ND, USC, LSU

what's up as we all know it's been um lot of change in off season um leading into this um new season of college football um two big headlines one being the playoff expanding from four teams to 12 teams under the 12 team format there'll still be controversy like there was in the past but it won't be as much controversy like last year when Florida State won ACC it was a power five last year of course we know another big headline the disolution of the Pack 12 and ni a power four all the power for Champions will get in the playoff and plus the highest rank on group of five Champion then there'll be seven at large teams also there for the first time there'll be playoff games played on the campuses as well and um if you start if you have to go in um if you playing in the first round then you have a chance of playing two balls games before the national championship game so it's a lot of changes with this um new format of the playoff and the other big um another big headline of course is um Nick s retiring in Alabama being replaced by the former Washington coach Kaylin dbor D Bo has an extensive offensive background he's offensive Guru and he brought in Kane W the former South Alabama coach U wck um did a good job and mobile the South Alabama so he has good ties to the coaches in the state of Alabama a lot of T in the state and um the surrounding areas in the Gul Coast so he was a good addition to that staff he's a defensive minded coach and I think he'll do well with the talent that Alabama it'll be interesting to see what they do against the hill Toppers of course West Kentucky is a group of five team but they do play Wisconsin um on the schedule before they getting the SEC play so I mean we'll see it's gonna be interesting to see how the new look Alabama is this season as well and as far as the big games um well before we get into the big games of this week last week Florida State um like say they had a hangover they were um still up they've been upset the whole season offseason about getting left out the playoff and they they laid the egg over in Ireland against georia Teck there wasn't a lot of hype about georia Teck coming into the season but they did get the win over in Dublin um dju he left waran State and of course we know he started his career at Clemson he had a decent game but like I say it wasn't all on him but simers did take the L so it's gonna be they they still have a shot of making the playoff but it's going to be hard so early in the season they already stumbled after all the Ruckers and then they Su DC it just been a lot of controversy going on in Florida State but um excuse me we all fig they would have performed better than what they did in that game and another head ACC last week with SMU they won their debut against Nevada their ACC debut at least it wasn't a league game that's their first game as a ACC team and also join ACC is on K Stanford that was another headline and offseason all of the realignment um you know with the with all every all the power for conferences had teams um added to their conferences and now U Back to the big games for this weekend we have Texas A&M and Notre Dame of course Notre Dame is still independent so this will be a very big game for them but they don't have a very strong schedule Texas and& them does have a little more elad weight because they play in the SEC so they have several chances to add big wins to their resume but that should be a good game of course Jimbo was fired um last season they had an interim coach for the rest of the season and um they have a new coach as well this season so we'll see how the a is look against the Irish and um the biggest game of the weekend though is Clemson and Georgia of course Georgia's coming off that um season last year where they were disappointed because they didn't get a shot to um at the three Peak Clemson took a step back last year so it'll be interesting to see how they look in that game no doubt that should be a good game and then to close out the weekend is on LSU and USC out in Las Vegas USC is um in their first season in the Big 10 one those new additions from the um desar Pack 12 and like said they play LSU so that should be another good one if this your first time listening to my um podcast um drop a comment let me know what you think about this week's games and um hit that like button and hit that subscribe button and until next time this your boy red signing off
