what's up guys welcome back to the channel as always I'm your co-host Donovan quick and I want to give a special shout out to Mr John new Smith happy birthday brother and yes sir this video is about you now John new Smith he is the key to this offense to unlocking it to its full potential you know we've been missing several things in this offense as good as it has been hasn't been able to be as great as it needs to be especially in the key moments uh especially over in the Red Zone you know in the Red Zone we did really good last year getting it to moster and aan you know getting them you know their 30 plus touchdowns combined but we really lacked throwing the ball in the red zone and specifically on the goal line you know within five yards because all of our receivers are kind of small we've been missing that big body receiver and now johu can go and do that now not only can he go and be one of the best Red Zone Targets in the NFL which he was just three years ago with the Titans uh then he spent you know time with New England and as we know you if you want your offensive life to fail you go to the New England Patriots after the last three years and so he went to Atlanta became one of the most efficient tight ends once again and look we brought him into probably the most efficient offense in the NFL and maybe I'm biased maybe I'm not this is one of the best without certain uh without uncertainty and John new Smith can add to that can add an extra element to that and we've seen it a little bit in training camp seen it a little bit in the preseason game last week when he ran the ball on an end round now not only can he do that he can go up and catch the ball at his height his length great hands and then he can also block and that is a key thing to this offense especially to the running game is being able to block so now it's not okay Durham smice out there he's probably not going to run a route you know and if he does he's probably a decoy route it's the same thing as giki you know two years ago giki you know he you know he's out there you know we're probably passing the ball you know giki's out there you know he might get the ball might be a decoy but jnu Smith because he's able to do so many things especially after he gets the ball in his hands you know a after catch ability running the ball ability you know not afraid to get down and dirty he's very versatile and he is the key to unlocking this offense in into what it can be now if you're telling me you know we're down in the red zone and we run the ball with Moser great you telling me we're down in the red zone and they're stacking the box and we're struggling to run the ball and what are we going to do on a third and three or a fourth and three with a game on the line I'm I'm going tell you this I'm passing the ball because we have running backs that can run out of the back field we have John new Smith who can line up in the slot line up on the outside line up next to the tackle can line up in the back field too if well if he wants he line up anywhere on the field you can put him in anywhere on the field run on any route and he'll run it cuz he's got that dog in him he was one of my favorite signings in the off season because I've been pleading if you guys have been watching for this channel I've been pleading for a big receiver ever since we lost both giki and Devonte Parker now we both know those guys struggled to get separation but they were big body receivers that when it came down to it you need to throw up a 50/50 ball they're probably coming down with it and last year just seeing 50-50 balls go to you know Tyreek who's 5 fo8 Wadd who's 5' 10 it just it wasn't invigorating it wasn't you know I wasn't confident in doing that but you're telling me we're going to throw up a 50-50 ball to John new Smith I'm saying yeah he's probably coming down with that and you know you got to have that Faith between you know quarterback and receiver and two has shown the ability to just you know pick a guy and let it fly like Dan Marino has been telling him his entire career and so yeah that's why I love Jon new Smith it let me know what you guys think in the comments below I can go on and on and on about John new Smith but I just gave you guys pretty much the quick rundown you know he's just able to do so much and he really really is the key and he's going to be the reason that we win in the playoffs mark my words it's going to be him it's going to be aan it's going to be Jaylen Wright because moster might be healthy but that might be because Jaylen Wright takes more snaps away from him and he might not be healthy so then he's going to end up being the power back in the playoffs so let me know what you guys think in the comments below John new Smith can play anywhere on the field anywhere in this offense this is a perfect fit for him and he is a perfect fit for us and it it's just it's going to feed families with how much I see him involved in this offense especially being able to be there on the run plays as well like I'm I'm going to go on a little bit here uh waddle and Tyreek I mentioned it in my last video yesterday he cannot or they they are not on the field for 15% of snaps and on the 15% of snaps and they are not on the field we run the ball at an 80% clip so what weapons are we going to have out there I mentioned it yesterday it's probably going to be Eric ukama Malik Washington out there blocking then we're probably going to have Julian Hill Durham SMI jonu Smith we might run three tight end sets to run the ball because our receivers aren't that good at blocking but the thing is that you can put JN new Smith in the slot if you need to to go and block I'm not sure if you can really do that with Durham SMI he has the athleticism so does Julian Hill but they haven't really done that in their careers John new Smith has so it's just an extra element an extra just everything really because you can put them anywhere on the field bro and what I'm telling you on that third and 20 when I need to Chuck up the ball into a 50-50 shot now look Tyreek Hill might be open probably will be waddle probably will be open Anan probably going to be open but if they're not JN new Smith you're down there somewhere bro go and get me the ball and that's what it's all about and I can't wait to see him
