Jeff Ogie just 111 yards just the wedge here but he did change irons this week went to one that with less bounce than the ones he played last week in Memphis with those zoa Fairways and a beautiful wed shot here that man should be pairing at some point partnering with this man you would imagine would see day and Scott the President's Cup look at the fladis really nice touch from Adam Scott stay up on the Shelf there yeah I'm I'm a barding okay I'm not trading anyone to you because uh but I'm taking all the Canadians really nice drive it's so important to find the fairways on this golf course it makes your approach shots so much easier six Paces off the left here as location a little too far left but going to take that slope down that's really nice course knowledge there leaving that below the hole good shot go out there put a put a good score up look like a good put Adam Scott your co-leader at the BMW Championship on a Friday morning just a little short one in here 133 yards whole location here pretty good A little tug left but not bad Adam Scott can do it again taking sole possession of the lead at seven under Adam Scott 24 years after his debut at Castle Pines as we go to Adam Scott at the playing his third his eighth hole is a par five yeah good ways in 179 yards so a little bit of trouble off the te but that is how you respond almost dunks it and here is Adam Scott for another birdie to extend the lead he is just feeling it today Adam Scott another [Applause] birdie knows he might go ahead and hold this one with how well he's putting that's really good speed he's making it easy on himself today he's not it's pretty low stress out there of second place at seven under the guy he's chasing is this man Adam Scott putting through a ton of Fringe at eight does this have the right speed oh that's really impressive I would have thought he had to chip that with that slope got to get yourself healthy here's Adam Scott now at the 12th yeah 159 yards and a whole location just on the very front here's our leader Adam Scott leads by two this for birdie at 12 just inside 12 ft and uh how about the fifth birdie of the day losing Strokes in approach stake on the previous all that's third birdi in for seven HS with some Pace also Adam Scott now the Leader by two and could go right back to a three shot lead that's excellent there at 13 but there's no one else in the group to take a turn that's tremendous Adam Scott to extend the lead at 13 you know what at least you always have the honor good part there from Adam so Adam Scott feeling it yeah I guess he got water in the front so just he does have a ninew in play that he potentially could have hit but um discretion if you don't have the perfect club and again when you water in front if you're not 100% committed just go ahead and make four the the oldfashioned way and even if you don't make four you're eliminating anything worse than five and weighs Pon he probably make it so it's it's the right play he struggled but it's now that's away from his chest the last 3 or 4 years it's actually been an asset and what four a tremendous asset for Adam Scott made the conservative play water short so you'd like to force it back there excellent what a shot pretty elegant he forced it back there all right the drop off from last year Adam Scott looking for another Bur 30 and what a shot into 16 Adam Scott is here in two at the par five 17th yeah dump it out and just let it release down there very nicely done didn't quite have the sound you would expect coming out of the bunker gotten a rut went to the long Putter and as we mentioned it's five straight years that he's been in the posi of putting and that's incredible uh nearly picked up five Strokes on the field number one in Strokes game putting this week gaining nearly seven just get it on the green he seemed to got a lot of irons hole high and giving himself great opportunities that One Flew Over the flag but collect down into the low area and you probably shouldn't have gone at it from 319 with a fivewood Adam Scott for birdie at 18 yeah and I talked about number one in Strokes game putting he's been inside the top 50 the last 6 years so it shouldn't be too too much of a surprise but has gained more than seven strokes through 36 holes that is lethal for the rest of the field as well as he strikes the golf ball I felt really good on the course terer green and today leaving the range just not quite in Rhythm I think it's quite a hard range to actually get a good feeling for how you're hitting it cuz the driver comes out and it's like running along the ground hitting straight up a mountain it's a funny feeling but I settled down out there and then a couple putts went in and you know I could kind of find my rhythm a little bit but it it's a great round I you know I think I took advantage of good conditions this morning and hopefully set myself up to have a real run at this thing uh on Sunday now is in spend some time in Switzerland in the offseason is that out at elevation 2 is it similar kind of to how it is here it's similar it's it's actually we live about 42,000 ft um but to be honest I don't spend a lot of time grooving my numbers up there so um you know we everyone everyone kind of has all the tools to figure out how far it's going it's not surprising if you get one that goes a little further than you think out here but it it was amazing like two holes in by 8:30 the ball was flying long you know it was flying a little shorter as I was warming up but then by 8:30 the ball was cruising again and um yeah it was a re really solid round happy obviously you mentioned yesterday playing with a little more freedom you know after making it to this point did was that what we saw today with this round or how you describe it yeah I mean I leave you know it's F your mindset changes so much leaving the range I just kind of wanted to keep moving in the right direction you know grind out and shoot under par and keep going that way uh and then as by the middle of the round I was thinking of you know how many birdies can I make so it's funny how that happens but I do I feel like I really don't have anything to lose this week I can't go out of the top 50 I'm going to have a good schedule in the Signature Events next year of course I'd love to uh make it to East Lake and but now I'd love to win
