with u running back fullback tight end you name it he can play it Hunter lipkey uh joins us and uh um well first off the offseason um you got married that's probably a big life change but uh so far so good it sounds like oh yeah I mean it's like we've been living together for 2 years now so I mean it's like we've already been married it's just finally official now so she's still telling you what to do oh yeah I I've I've got some I've got some uh learning to do still but uh I think I'm doing pretty good so far okay you come in and this has got to be you go you know you go through the spring season you got through the fall and everything does you kind of get through uh you get through fall you're get kind of starting fall Camp here does the things kind of feel normal Now you kind of feel like uh there's kind of business as usual as far as fall camp for your team yeah I think so after that uh 2019 fall camp where we had to stop and then have that or 2020 fall Camp I'm sorry uh when we had the co thing going on I mean it was a lot different but now that we've got that full season under our belt a spring ball for everybody on this team now I think this is kind of one of the first like normal fall camps that we've had in a long time which is really good uh timing back to that national championship game you guys uh you guys do you guys dominate the final your name the um the most outstanding player of that game was does it seem like a dream come true oh yeah for sure I mean I just wanted to to get that team that win uh no matter what I had to do blocking catching running I mean we put in so much hard work throughout that last season that I mean we were all we were all so so happy for all of us that we actually achieved our goal so a lot of depth in the running back room so that does that leave you open to maybe be a little bit more at fullback um do you still feel you're going to get uh you're going to get touch the ball from time to time yeah I think I might get some touches again this year but I mean like you said that that running back room has a lot of depth right now I thought a lot of young guys stepped up quite a bit during spring ball and into this early fall Camp too so I mean we're going to have a ton of weapons on this offense you know you you kind of have to you know you're kind of friends with the running backs but I'm sure you're kind of you work hand in hand with an offensive line and there's uh there's a lot of guys there to get some playing time it sounds like according to coach an oh yeah I mean the Spring ball I just I think having a spring ball is really good for a team just to develop those younger guys during the off season but uh yeah everybody everybody was excelling during spring ball yeah throughout the summer as well uh going back to that spring season of of 21 that it it was weird it was different but looking back in the long run do do you feel that it maybe uh maybe helped you C to this point yeah I think it helped myself and just all the rest of the team I think losing to Sam Houston in the quarterfinals was humbled us a little bit and that's what we needed to get back to work put our heads down down and just keep our nose to the grindstone you get some different opponents you obviously the Arizona game down the line but some teams you've never seen before to to start the year yeah I think it's always exciting just play a a new team you haven't seen before new defensive schemes just different stuff they can throw at you which is always fun all right nastiest fans that you've ever dealt with inside the conference or not there's some of the nastiest fans you uh you recall I don't think I've ever dealt with anybody too bad um yeah I mean I've heard stories in the past but everybody's usually pretty pretty chill pretty accepting of us wherever we go so that's what I'm grateful for your uh your biggest rival in in personally is who as far as a team uh probably SDSU it's kind of what I figured as well so Hunter appreciate it uh you've been a great weapon for the bison and looking forward to another great year thank you thank you appreciate it
