you've been following us over on our socials we've been been posting but yeah you know it's uh it's strange without all the noise over on Twitch to complement the noise over here on YouTube but fear not dear viewer for next week we are coming back in style mother Monday coming at you Monday September 16th around 8:00 I will be continuing my playthrough of Earthbound for the Super Nintendo but on the switch day 11 11 of Earthbound oh my God DXs are you like hyped like how many more I here here's the real question this is what I wanted to ask you yeah how many more days do you think are you going to are you until you beat this game dude like I want a I want a concrete number man how many more days you think you're going to beat till you beat this game man you know I don't I can't be super concrete having never beaten it before but like my guess would be like 4ish tops I don't know there's still Sanctuary locations that I need to unlock with the sound Stone there's at least one that I just walked past you know so before I take on gigus there's still a couple more exploration locations for me to get to as far as the uh the sound Stone and the teleporting and the what have you but it's been a wacky good time and I'm I'm loving the battles and uh yeah we'll be diving into the pyramid on Monday yeah and that and you know what DS I remember the pyramid as like CU I think you I think you're uh closer on on the money than you think like I think three or four days is probably where you're where you might end up because I got to be honest with you you the pacing that you're playing the game it's pretty good like you're not like like you're not rushing through it too much and you're leaving you're allowing yourself to f find the best stuff and be a good uh level have a nicely leveled party yeah it's it's kind of important I usually don't like to leave areas until enemies flee from you in fear of your ultimate level grind that's absolutely a real deal and you know what DRS here's the thing it's funny that you mentioned grinding I because here we go with the retro gold mine on Tuesdays making a comeback and you know what we are playing Yu-Gi-Oh forbidden Memories and boy oh boy oh boy DS we're going to see yeah we're going to see how long the grind phase is for Yu-Gi-Oh forbidden Memories because there is a point where it is highly encouraged that you grind yeah or um maybe go buy some cards and then type in the the serial number at the bottom or something that will not save you DXs you you'll like type you you'll type in the you you'll type in the code for a blue- eyes white dragon you know how many Star CHS that is 999999999 oh so you still got to grind to earn the forbidden Memories is brutal dude it's very brutal so it's better just uh Farm card drops off of the NPCs at least in the US version I think the Japanese version a little more lenient but it's better to just Farm them off the NPCs because man it gets brutal but I'm not going to I'm not going to uh hype it up too much because as brutal as it is it's also very random yeah good the right amount of random and man let me tell you there's nobody I'd rather be watching play Yu-Gi-Oh than entor dude and this is one of those ones Hey listen this this isn't what going to be one of those games where I like drop out on that even though man the final Gauntlet is really grueling but it's just I'm not going to say it's straight Yu-Gi-Oh all the way through because if anyone has played forbidden Memories you know it's not Yu-Gi-Oh or it's not straight up Yu-Gi-Oh it's its own thing like yeah right there's a lot of mechanics especially that may have been added much later you know I don't remember as much like ritual stuff going on you know I mean there isn't a lot of ritual stuff going on in this game but there's like you know you just fuse by picking cards you can only play one card per turn forbidden Memories is like I said it's it's like own thing but it's that whole thing all the way through so there's no like weird curve balls it's just all cards and like AI that reads your hand so like yeah funny how they do that yeah hey you know what the computers what do they always say the computers cheat oh yeah definitely reading your your hand and your controller like psycho mantis hey you know what but you can't even save yourself by putting your controller in the second slot it just won't read correctly yeah exactly not in forbidden Memories that's cool pretty stoked hey you know what that's going to be a listen it's going to be a very interesting playthrough I can't say whether or not I'm going it I was I'm just defaulting in my head to like absolutely rage fueled because my God forbidden Memories can just be brutal to you sometimes you can be like all right I'm just going to [ __ ] this dude up and like you you put like a big monster on the field and then all of a sudden and like you hit him twice with it and then all of a sudden he like Reis you and then he plays like a 3,000 attack Point monster and you're like well I die that's amazing but it's okay because you could it it is I have very fond memories of playing it and I played the [ __ ] out of it when I was a kid I actually recently played through it again uh when I set up my uh emulators for the first time back when I was playing dragon Dragon Force okay yeah that wasn't too long ago yeah so I've so it is I have be I know in my heart it's possible to beat this game yes good you can follow that to the end abely absolutely so that's going to be so tune in next week new retro gold mine Yu-Gi-Oh forbidden memories and then you've got day 11 of mother Monday man oh man oh man it's going to be a very stacked week next week yeah watch me cross Earthbound off of my bucket list and you know what DXs we're going to just uh take that idea bucket list and just go right into the news video game news because you know what man we're just we're not going to waste any time with you folks it's the PS5 Pro it was announced and you know what man that's not it's that's right it's not the old one it's this but a new PS5 and it's said to actually deliver an 8K gaming experience in Grand Turismo and it offers you know a few new features right it's got to offer something yeah we'll see if it makes anybody's bucket list though owning a uh a PS5 Pro now for you dear viewer keep that in mind because is does your bucket list include a console that has AI upscaling enhanced raay tracing and eliminates the need to choose between Fidel and performance mode is that something that interests you dear viewer do you want that on your bucket list is that something you dream of at night you know not having to choose between Fidelity and performance I and you know what I but here's something that I don't think anyone dreams of DXs cuz it's the biggest deterrent is the sticker shock it's insane at 700 USD for a machine that that doesn't come equipped with a stand nor a disc drive o yeah as a guy who uh just started collecting physical PS5 games I don't know if that's going to be on my Christmas list this year no no no uh not unless you are willing to spend I God I forgot how much it was like 60 another 70 bucks 60 70 bucks for the um disc drive add-on remember that yeah no I saw I saw an an article a headline today too that was like oh get your uh get your disc drive in advance for your PS5 Pro save some money it's like get ready okay all right you know you're seeing it on the b-roll here your pal mark C like he's taking you through this machine showing you exactly the differences in Fidelity mode and performance mode and trxs listen he there he says much more people play in performance mode than Fidelity mode I usually try to uh play a little bit of the game in both I don't know about you like just to see if there's a visible difference right like yeah yeah I'll I'll leave it in Fidelity until something breaks you know right say actually 100% same like I'll either leave it in Fidelity until like you said something breaks or something looks weird or if I'm like just moving and grooving in fidelity uh I'm I would um what was the game I did I in um man let me look at my games really quick Guardians of the Galaxy uh I I looked and I tried to switch it to Fidelity or uh to Performance mode to see if it would like run quicker or like look smoother something right a difference I guess um yeah not really uh Sonic Frontiers was the same way I tried both and it wasn't really a huge difference uh I didn't really see like a big jump in graphics in Fidelity mode and I didn't really see I didn't really feel any sort of sluggish sluggishness when I sent set it into that mode either um and and in when it comes down to Performance I think I put it on performance mode simply because like I wanted guaranteed responsiveness I didn't want to run into that right yeah you're streaming or something or while I'm like doing a combo right like yeah I so Sonic timing yeah so it's an interesting thing but here's the deal DS IGN they spoke to a prominent analist in the industry and the take that they provided was an interesting one huh what did this analyst have to say well here it is from IGN the headline is quote PS5 pro at $700 quote lack of competition made it an made it an quote easier decision for Sony to run with higher price that's the headline oh no yeah I don't I don't really like the sound of that from the article quote according to one prominent analyst there are a number of factors that have contributed to Sony going for $700 and relatively even higher in Europe and Japan which is true if you don't know the price points uh some places such as Japan have that play we we did the conversion right right here on the show live uh so just talked about price jump in Japan like the last show or two so for the so for the that and that was for the classic PS5 so you're paying another $100 for the classic PS5 if you're getting it in Japan right now converted into USD uh so this and if you look at the PS5 Pro it's like another $80 yikes yeah so man you are shelling out if you are anywhere in the world but some places are shelling out more than others yep for that advanced Ray tracing huh exactly and uh reading further quote Piers Harding rolls games industry Analyst at or Piers Harding rooll Harding rolls Harding rolls I I don't want to I I I'm sure I'm pronouncing that wrong um the games industry an analyst at emper said the PS5 Pro pricing reflects Sony's adjusted strategy to protect its margin that it is that it that is it is unwilling to sell consoles at a loss supply chain inflation and crucially a quote lack of direct competitor to its midcycle UPG grave compared to last generation where Microsoft was compare Was preparing to compete using the Xbox One X and D that's interesting right it's interesting to think about like that because Microsoft gave you the essentially the mid console upgrade at the top of the generation here's the Xbox series s here's the Xbox series X and when it when push came to shove it was the series s right that was the one that was selling way more yeah yeah exactly people you know your average gamer may or may not know or be aware of the uh Hardware upgrades and advantages to uh you know better processing and more horsepower under the hood yeah and there might not even be a lot of games that really truly take advantage of all of that horsepower right we know we we keep hearing that we keep hearing things such as uh you know we just heard it from the guys at Dune Awakening infamously balers Gate 3 could not get uh split screen multiplayer to work on there and that was one of the main deterr and you know it's it's it's one of the most interesting things to look at because everything for the most part has been if it's if there have been it if there has been a console to get it on it's normally the PS5 just because it feels more reliable at least according to most commercial game or mainstream video game reviews commercial gaming reviews yeah you know and Impressions when you comp when you compare the two side by side normally the PS5 comes out on top and then you um put that I guess Hardware dissonance of the series s and series X and you layer that on top of just a solid PS5 what does a PS5 Pro really have to offer other than the person who has a top-of-the-line uh visual setup themselves like a home theater setup themselves to complement like an 8K resolution right yeah you got to have the 8K TV first right and that's exactly kind of where I come at and it's interesting because when you read further uh quote the price point differential between the PS5 and the PS5 Pro is between 40 to 50% which is significantly more than uh than the differential between the PS4 and the PS4 pro at launch in the US the PS4 Pro launched at 3.99 and the slim PS4 was $299 at the same time a 33% differential Additionally the PS4 slim had a retail price of $2.99 having dropped from the original PS4 launch price of $3.99 so DXs there is like like he was like uh Harding rules the analyst was saying earlier in his remark they're clearly just not willing to sell it at a loss and yeah I I think here's the thing I don't know if we get another um Sony what a state of play or a a a game presentation right where you're going to see many first party titles come out I think astrobot is it right like if I were to wager a guess it like astrobot is the game that's what we're doing yeah they can't sell you the console at a loss and expect to make the revenue back selling you games I mean they put a lot of work into putting out that hardware and and you know we don't you don't need to believe us they said it at the beginning of the year we covered it here on the show they they said they said that it they essentially said third party step up we made the console now make games and it's like wait a minute what like exactly that is exactly what's going on I just don't like the sound of them being like well we don't have any competition so we can charge more if we want to you know yeah's I don't want to call the FBC on them too you know have another another one of those scandals well DRS here here's the deal with me from from my point of view this this seems like another PS3 situation right like PS3 at launch situation like [ __ ] you got uh you got the it was like the PlayStation boss at that time karagi coming out and saying hey people are just going to work harder for it if they want it they'll buy it if they want it they're going to buy it right they'll just get it and like hey whatever right taxs whatever right whatever like I was saying earlier I I think if you have the setup like an 8K TV I think even if you really have a 4K TV with a surround sound setup and you're really like yeah if you're really a gamer right and yeah you're the audio file gamer yeah visual file in this case well the I audio visual thing you know I would think the this thing again you're seeing it on the screen things like such as 3D audio bigger GPU all that so the entire uh experience seems to have been enhanced and like you know you could be if you are the guy with that setup and you have like either the surround sound setup or even the the those headphones right those PlayStation headphones nice nice studio quality headphones you know that that could do the trick too yeah like seriously 8K LW and it's one of those things like you when when the rubber hits the road if you've already if if you just want to game if you are Average Joe gamer and you just want to play the latest games because you you are I just I want to play Final Fantasy 16 and Spider-Man and um shagam tensy 5 and like you're play You're PS5 is where it's at right yeah balers gating balers gate came out on day one right like you know launched first on PS5 balers Gate 3 like it was just one of those it's just the console and it has the more the most exclusives the I guess the most impactful exclusives you could say you and then you can't you have new Xbox models coming out in like a couple months yeah oh new all black one yeah a new all black one and all gray one but these aren't like upgrades right yeah it's not the the midlife upgrade that anybody might be looking for no I and I think I think there's something to be said to have your console be the first quote unquote Pro console across the line because you kind of set the tone because like even if you don't really believe in any like let's just say you're a skeptic and you don't I have my I'm playing on PS4 because everything is on PS4 anyway [ __ ] it who cares you know I don't I I'm not missing out on anything I'm that gamer and I'm looking at this and I haven't upgraded yet but in the back of my mind I know there's a couple of games that I want to play that I pretty much need to upgrade for I don't think that gamer is going to jump at this even like for for that big upgrade but you know I'll say it like this DXs there's a lot of buzzword on the screen AI upscaling bigger GPU enhanced raay tracing yeah could be just a lot of hype I mean the only reason I have a PS4 Pro is because they were out of regular PS4s at the time we're kind of crunched for them you know but hey you know what that was only 33% price differential that wasn't that wasn't a huge leap in yeah during uh something something supply chain cough cough something so something something supply chain something something Yen crashing um yeah so so you time yeah so you're so it's interesting the will the Enthusiast truly jump on board because the the average Joe gamer isn't going to jump on board and I don't think this is for the PS5 owner who wants to upgrade yeah no I don't I don't see myself taking the leap anytime soon not not before I get a 8K TV and a and a surround sound I don't think your buddy on the screen Mark cery believes it either because he himself said on the stream that it's like what over 60% of players play in performance mode most of the time that's the default mode yeah yep more frames what who oh well PR button press button let's go like you know so I guess there is there may be an audience but I this thing smells like psvr uh PS3 at the beginning and I don't know if it's going to be too great for Sony yeah maybe a little bit of a bougie hoyy toyy status symbol you know you might as well put like a Hello Kitty on it be like oh look I have I have the Hello Kitty PS5 Pro so before and and I think I I can see where you're coming from but uh I'll leave the subject with this um when you're at the game store or Target or Walmart and you see these things and you think to yourself you know I could spend $700 on a PS5 Pro with one controller no stand and no disc or yeah I can go gra get a PS5 with a disc drive yes for uh $3.99 refurbished from Sony because that's one of the things that has quietly happened refurbished ps5s are going onto Sony's main site that are approved by Sony and being resold so you could get and they're selling the diskless one I believe at uh $2.99 and the uh one with the disc at $3.99 huh so if you want a budget PS5 you can you can get one it is possible yeah you've got options even Sony approved ones so it's interesting to think that there is the ecosystem of video games and console gaming is expanding into Realms of luxury and Realms of affordability even if you may not get it may not be super publicized it's a decent balance but you know what man I at the same time this luxury I think might be too bougie for even the people who might really be enthusiastic about it because we only have confirm one game 8K wow yeah you're going to want to see that number go up before dropping the dime on this you know it may not have been the uh Sony trailer you wanted but it's the Sony trailer we got and you know what it's it's not a terrible thing to think about like it's not a terrible thing to like have around like but again if you're looking at this or a console with a disc drive that even if you go to Walmart it's going to cost you 500 bucks and if you do want to be a real gamer you can grab that Edge controller nice and equal it all out I mean it'd be nice to have like a virtual boy too but that doesn't mean you're going to get the red eye from it you know and you might you might be thinking to yourself though so what's going on with Xbox like oh yeah you know can't keep it one-sided here no no love no no no no because there's more things happening over there more movement and you know you might be thinking oh my God PS5 Pro I don't want to pay more money for Less games and more things that I can't play so like maybe I might just turn to Game Pass right maybe it might be the time it might be the time for Game Pass and you know DXs I don't know if that might be the uh best idea because the new Game Pass tiers are here yeah we uh we warned you this was coming and it's interesting to see that there is a a headline from Kotaku that we might think the these changes might just affect more than what they advertised yeah there might have been a few titles there in the fine print that uh have gone missing from your game pass library from Kotaku the headline is quote Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Diablo 4 Starfield and more missing from game pass's newest tier yes and it's a lower tier right because they're they really they're pushing yeah the PC game pass and the ultimate and you know for what it's worth I would say go for ultimate just so you can stream games if you have a solid internet connection that was my uh my game pass experience but man oh man 20 bucks a month 20 bucks a month yeah and uh you know after reminding us of all the changes to Game Pass including the elimination of Day One releases from the platform on all the tiers except for ultimate and PC the article goes on to note quote but a list of the existing libraries for each tier also reveals other discrepancies for games that have already came to the service Modern Warfare 3 added last last month is notably absent as is Diablo 4 added in the spring with a new expansion vessel of hatred coming in October 8th valerant Riot Riot games hero shooter that recently came to console is free to play but it locks certain characters behind a pay wall The Game Pass version that unlocks them all for for free is part of the ultimate but not standard wow yeah that's crazy I mean you had all the characters and now you just go back to playing the free-to-play game as a free-to-play freemium character pack you're you might be missing some stuff you thought you already had so hopefully you bought the characters you were good with or something or something yeah hey what's up Joseph thank you for joining us Joseph Lees in the chat uh and you know also the article notes other games such as another crabs treasure and Age of Mythology retold as also being eliminated from the tier yeah that's um those are some new titles so if you're uh if you're on the lower tier of that game pass that's something fun you're you're missing out on and you may not be playing the latest games as as they say or even the most recent games as it seems because you know reading reading even further quote when asked when some of these these missing games would become a part of the standard library and how to know if and when future games will join it a spokesperson for micros Microsoft shared the following non-committal statement from the uh from the Microsoft uh spokesperson I guess that's what they said quote a new day one games available with Game Pass ultimate or PC game pass will not be immediately available with Game Pass standard and may be added to the library at a future date this could be up to 12 months or more and will vary by title and you know what DRS we've heard that before yeah no that is something we have read on the show pretty recently that uh your day one titles might become year one titles or year and a year and a half titles yeah no we don't need to tell you you don't need to know but they might come they might not and man that's uh so it's not really there's turbulence everywhere in in the games industry you know the even even though PC may seem a little bit a little bit uh of an oasis if you're looking if you're in the market for a PC hey good luck finding one on anything close to a budget yeah no that's at least PS5 Pro prices even for like a gaming laptop absolutely and you know what DRS we got new to say marel vers Capcom 2 cult classic when it first came came out right if you weren't in the arcades and you weren't really into fighting games you kind of didn't know about it but that is now everyone knows it because of all the famous moments and all the famous gameplay that is associated with it yeah a lot of good Evo moments a lot of good Justin Wong action and the like and you know what here's some of the OST from Marvel versus Capcom 2 oh perfect because you know what we're we're going to hit even more Nostalgia bones with this next game because it is Funko Fusion yeah this is actually pretty exciting I don't own any funco pops that weren't a Christmas gift but uh this game is looking pretty wacky looking like a good time yeah definitely it looks pretty uh it looks definitely more than just a throwaway kind of like licensed game right yeah no it's it doesn't seem like a cash grab or you know shouldn't be cheapened in any way it looks like there's a lot to do a lot of things to try experience and almost like a almost like a Lego game you know where you're you're building some stuff and creating things from the official enjoying enjoying your favorite franchises as well oh definitely because from the official website quote express your fandom with 60 plus unique playable characters playable characters from more than 20 fan favorite franchises all lovingly recreated in Funko Pop for explore incredible worlds inspired by Jurassic world Back to the Future Jaws the thing Chucky Battle Star Galactica Hot Fuzz the Umbrella Academy Masters of the don't want to say out of place because they don't really feel out of place when you take into account how [ __ ] groovy they are but like these weird industrial tracks like like yeah look Avant guard you know I think that's a good word like because like that you you've got that uh that track from J jsrf and then in the first Jet Set Radio game you have the [ __ ] Dragula remix like yeah these games that are these these tracks these like these like wild like tracks that like have these like real like sludgy [ __ ] bases or these like crazy like these uh industrial synths and guitars and you're just like they pry up in there you're like what the [ __ ] like in my like inline graffiti skating game like yeah rocket and magnet skating Good Times love that and you know what Dr speaking of good times and to to close the show out finally we have an interesting interview DXs with the folks over at the Playstation blog because they're talking to the guys at SNK they got them in the uh interview chair to talk about their upcoming fighting game goo city of the Wolves hey yeah might have to pull out some SNK tunes right now but I'm pretty pretty hyped I didn't get a chance to dive into King of Fighters 15 but I mean I love the characters love the artwork and this is a a new entry here coming up that's uh pretty cool it's it's nice to see this one come back after laying dormant for so long yeah definitely we're going to talk about how we're going to talk about exactly how long this has been since uh uh essentially an installment in the Fatal Fury franchise has made an appearance in video in mainstream gaming you know it's it's pretty all it's pretty unprecedented that something like this has happened because uh we're going to go into it a little bit in a little bit with this Playstation blog interview but I want to point out that the these this game was a direct competitor to Street Fighter three third strike and it shares a good amount like go Mark of the Wolves it was at least and it shares a good amount of I can't say mechanics CU it's not really they they don't really share mechanics they it's um fundamental philosophy like like design philosophy in that defense is almost equally as strong as offense and that it there um the game State can flip on its head it's very uh momentum based even when it's flipping back on you yeah exactly you're not going to get anywhere button mashing here unless you're um timing those parries and the like right exactly in this game this game's version of Parry being the just defend which is like a Parry but like you block instead of move forward into the attack yeah exactly okay so um anyway uh here it is that playstation.com headline is quote fatal Fury city of the Wolves interview SNK director discusses the series New Direction oh yeah New Direction Let's see it from the good so far right yeah you're seeing all the this the latest trailer from Fatal Fury city of or garro city of the Wolves uh on the b-roll and here's it is from the interview quote fidal Fury is among the pioneers of the fighting game genre the original game followed martial artists Terry and Andy Bogard and their friend Joe higashi on a quest to avenge the death of their adopted father it is emphasized it it emphasized story and cinematics ending with a shocking climactic scene where villain geese Howard falls to his demise from a skyscraper from that point on fatal Fury's gameplay with evolv greatly still emphasis on the stylish and memorable characters action film inspired stories and its vibrant South Town setting would continue in the uh from the from the director quote in the very beginning that we had the concept where fatal Fury was like a movie where the protagonist had to work had to work up to the fight with a big villain SOA said uh game director hold on give me one second I didn't see it uh yeah art our art director yo yiro SOA that was his remark the other director they sat down with was the game director hay TOA so yeah I love that I remember that about like the first fatal Fury game where it's like it's telling you the story before and after you take on these these rounds of 2D combat and uh yeah you know walk into a room bunch of dudes eating noodles and they turn around there's a fight going and you know what movie and you know what DRS it's interesting to to note too that um the original uh fatal Fury's original creator also was the creator or I believe the game director of the First Street Fighter game so he was innovating and iterating on the original Street Fighter game like Beyond Street Fighter 2 that's sort of when and when you put it into that context right there that this game was more of a spiritual successor to Street Fighter 2 fatal Fury 1 that is when you think about it like that it kind of makes sense as to why there's only three playable characters in the first fatal Fury game Terry Andy Joe and there's but there's also so many characters in the game that you can fight against yeah which uh circles all the way back to King of Fighters plays all of them and uh SOA goes on it was po quote it was popular and players wanted more so we kept expanding with each game at one point Terry takes on Gee's child rock as his son at the time we didn't know where that would lead and you know what that that's very true DXs especially at the end of the first garu game you know rock Howard the son of geese Howard he's the new protagonist of fatal Fury Terry's there and he's not like an old dude or he's not like washed up he doesn't he didn't they didn't give him like the Luke Skywalker treatment right but they also didn't give him yeah right they also didn't give him the Ryu in Street Fighter 6 or the GU in Street Fighter 6 or the Canon Street Fighter 6 he's kind of he's kind of just ter still good like cool guy cool hat he ditched the hat but now he's got a sweet jacket yeah the bomber jacket yeah and uh you know what talking about talking about um those kind of uh change in Aesthetics after talking about Aesthetics uh to SOA about Aesthetics and how the colorful visuals in the game and in garu originally uh were meant to evoke a quote mixture of American comic art and Japanese anime and appeal to both old and new players they spoke about the latest gameplay mechanic the Rev gauge yes new meter what does it do what is it for uh from the article quote we want to give people the ability to use super moves but not limit them to a single Gage explains cona the game director so we have two different bars making it a lot easier originally there was no ref gauge just a power gauge the idea came from Fatal Fury wild ambition where you had a heat gauge we modernized and made it more flashy and easier to use and as someone who played wild ambition it was the first uh 3D fatal Fury game the the the heat gauge was an interesting idea but in Wild ambition I I'm not afraid to say it it was all Half Baked yeah not a lot of good follow through on that one huh not not very much I I'll say it like this there wasn't another 3D fatal Fury game until now yeah it might have uh you know put a nail in that coffin until they busted It Wide Open again and you know finally the directors of this game they spoke on the story of the game and how its importance May influence the game design itself yeah no I like the uh the action movie route you know playing a martial arts Masterpiece and you know what that's really nice and uh I think that mindset really works for any kind of fighting game like you know yeah martial arts uh Hong Kong action flick right just [ __ ] just happens they they they he killed my dad I got to get my revenge like yeah shenmu or the yeah the the Donnie yens of the world yes absolutely yeah the hitting the nail on the head right there you know so uh but they they say quote G left us with a lot of homework says cona what happened with hotaru and her brother what was going on with Kan and rock we want to focus on telling those stories to completion and making sure that we've tied up all of those things so we have a lot of work to do and reading further quote it's been 25 years years since goo Mark of the Wolves was released and there's a lot of people who are still playing that game now but we consider the story very important and if the story requires this person to lose Powers lose their arm then so be it still this is this is a long awaited game we don't want to change it so much that it becomes alien to people looking forward to seeing these characters again it's a balancing act and you know what it's interesting that he uh that that that's um mentioned I should say because honestly DXs this isn't the first time SNK has done this no it's pretty cool I'm I'm could not be more pleased to hear that they're not going to like George RR Martin us you know and just kind of leave it hanging and then come back and maybe do a spin-off or something like no we're you know like a good friendship we're just going to come back and we're going to keep the conversation going from right from where it left off yeah like we're they are committed to telling the to finishing those stories that the fans have been waiting what 25 years for the com for the finale of and these if you played the original Garo game it's the game play has aged incredibly well and honestly getting the final storyline with rock uh against Kane R Hyland and figuring out that spoiler alert for a 25-year-old game that's it's his uncle like oh damn you yeah you know and at the end of the game it's Terry and rock looking like Kane is at like the top of a staircase and Terry is at the bottom and Rock is in the middle and at the end in that ending then this is Rock's ending for the for the fighting game garu Mar of the Wolves he goes with Kane wow yeah it's like if uh Zimbo went with scar in like the Hamlet telling it's wow that's crazy so diey offs your dad becomes your best friend it's a pretty big it's a pretty big well he it was he was they were Rock was a kid um it was a and he didn't know the truth of his dad and that's why he goes with King because he's like I can tell you the truth and he was like man Terry this is something you can't give me and it's like ooh that's drama that's drama baby it's good SNK drama baby so yeah I've been looking forward to that it's crazy that they're committed to fulfilling it and it's crazy that they say that they're like hey you know what people might lose a limb and it might affect the game playay who knows you're seeing it on the screen right now Terry and rock same kind of characters pretty much the same characters from the original game but I the reason why I say this isn't the first time SNK has done this is because there is actually a very good example in a re-release of this classic game The King of Fighters 13 in the king of FS 13 Global match I just downloaded it yesterday um oh that was one of the it was one of the first games that actually reflected a big storyline change in the gameplay of a character because in King of Fighters 11 eori Yagami lost his power his Firepower at the end of that game and in King of Fighters 13 he doesn't have it he uses like weird slashing power huh wow character development across fighting games who knew it was even possible to the point where it changes the character pretty fundamentally in game the moves you learned you know like yeah you got you got to learn something different you can't just pick the same character and do the same you know half circles and stuff granted eori played very similar but his flow and his special moves were very different ah so the timing and execution and stuff exactly crazy yeah so SNK not afraid to shake things up when it comes to making their story feel meaningful and I like that I'm I'm so down to hear that like hey man guess what we're doing this like yeah no they're they're committing they're going balls to the wall over there at SNK bringing us some brand new G brand new g 25 years in the making 25 years and and a cancelled uh 2D um Neo Geo sequel sweet yeah get on the hype train for this one absolutely hey DXs like I said I downloaded kof13 Global match last night I'm definitely on the hype train yeah you're you're reading up on the prologue and stuff hell yeah and you know what that's the last that's the last bit of business we've had at CFM radio we've talked PS4 our PS5 Pro we've talked the new Game Pass teers and we talked G city of the Wolves coming out April 12 next year yes some exciting information some new releases to check out if you haven't gotten your 2D fighting game fix lately you can always pick up the uh Capcom versus fighting collection coming out tomorrow and September 12th that Is and Ds so many great games coming out so many great games already released you had all we had Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 at the top of the week man I don't know how you can't just get out there in game yeah and in fact I uh I put up my first billion points on JW pinball today so congratulations to me I like I said folks you got to get out there in game how else are you going to be like DXs and get a billion points
