BREAKING: NY Jets TRADE Brandon Codrington To The Buffalo Bills! In Exchange for 2026 Pick Swap

all right guys what's going on welcome in so we just had breaking news uh not too too long ago right that just came out from Connor Hughes uh suggesting that Leonard Taylor Eric Watts Braden McGregor all made the 53 man roster right and we're still uh around a half hour out from it officially uh dropping and then of course Zack Rosen blat followed that report up with uh suggesting that Tac McKinley also is expected to make the roster but we have more more breaking Jets news right Brandon Cordon the backup nickel Corner who has been one of the surprises in preseason so far uh specifically for his special team returning ability somebody who's I mean man he was if you want to talk about an undrafted free agent like making your presence known in preseason that second preseason game where he had over I believe he had o over 100 uh return yards uh over the course of one kickoff return and two punt return returns think he had 60 plus in a kickoff return and then uh a combined 40 plus in two punt returns uh and then also looked pretty explosive in that third preseason game against the New York Giants anyway he was just traded to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for a late 2026 pick swap so this tells me two things number one C rington was probably going to be released not on the 53 man roster a lot of people expected that um but also so the Jets probably felt that he was going to be picked up he was going to be claimed so in their eyes you know let's just move on let's trade him away and get some sort of asset here's here's the interesting situation right the Jets are betting on themselves to be better than the Buffalo Bills why is that the case because you don't do a pick swap you know you you don't trade away a player and then swap teams with a team that you think is going want to be better than you because you know in essence like let let's just you know hypothetically say you know the bills would be better than the New York Jets in 2025 because we're talking about the 2026 draft you're not going to move down in the draft right I mean I guess it's possible but you know it it's kind of a weird trade return in my opinion uh normally you would like to see a pick swap with a team that's not really projected to be all that great of of course is you know this the NFL things happened but uh and and also to you you are talking about the future but what's interesting with the bills is I I kind of felt like they took one step back this season to take two steps forward in 26 right where they cleared a bunch of money they got rid of a bunch of veterans uh they got faster at a lot of different positions uh although they lost a bunch of leaders so it kind of feels like maybe they tread water for you know for this season it's still going to be good where it's still going to be you know fantastic football team uh but it's really going to be in 2026 is where you see the the bills potentially make that that Splash move right because a lot of money comes off the books in that season of course you know you you do have to account for a potential Josh Allen restructure at some point right you got to imagine that that's coming it's or even a new deal or something like that a new extension uh but an interesting tradeit to say the least uh because Corrington was a he was a nice find by Joe Douglas but he's now going to be helping on the Buffalo Bills right I would assume on special team so anyway let me know your thoughts down below thanks so much for watching and as always go Jets
