Sacramento State @ San Jose State

so on the last game on Thursday we got a 10:00 Sacramento State who went 8 and5 traveling to San Jose State who went 7-6 San Jose State's favored by seven on True TV uh shevan Cordo for the Spartans went 223 at 363 last year they for 2773 yards 20 touchdowns four interceptions krie Kyrie Robinson had 170 carries for 1,194 yards and 18 touchdowns and Nick Nash had 48 catches for 728 yards and eight touchdowns the only one those three that I listed were that has returned is Nick Nash so I think what's really going to be interesting about San J state is they had a good year last year they really did seven and six might not indicate how great of a year they did they were in contention to go to the Mountain West championship game at the end of the year and they didn't end up going but it was a really close race between them and Boise State and UNLV and Air Force and you know and really good football teams they were up there with all of them so much so that their head coach ended up getting the Arizona job which is rough if you're a San Jose State fan right when you're gaining correction you lose your head coach to a pretty good job at Arizona um I think what's really going to be interesting this year is Mountain West if it's not Liberty you know if if the team representative from the group of five is not Liberty it is probably going to be someone from either The American or the Mountain West would be my guess I mean there's obvious Arguments for some of these sunb Bel teams right like app State's really good there's some arguments for them there but the vast majority of people believe that if it's not Liberty it's probably going to be Boise State or Memphis right um so if you're playing in one of these conferences you have chances to get some high quality wins and if you win the conference Championship against a team like Boise State that could give you some leeway into hopefully making the playoffs so I think looking at it from this perspective I think it's going to be really interesting Sacramento state had a really good year FCS wise they beat um shoot they beat Stanford I think last year um so this is a good Sacramento State team this like high quality football team I think what's really going to be interested to look at is against San Jose State's only favored by seven points for a reason this isn't supposed to be a massive win for San Jose State it's supposed to be a close game I do think San Jose State is a better team than Sacramento State I think San Jose State is going to be a team though not if not I don't think it's going to be a team that's competing for a playoff status or in the Mountain West Championship I think it's going to be a good decent mediocre football team and good decent mediocre football teams typically do not lose to FCS opponents give me San Jose St dat to win and cover at home [Music]
