Seven safe after their boat caught on fire on Utah Lake

of seven is lucky to be alive after their boat caught fire this afternoon yeah it happened on Utah Lake where Crews say those on board had to jump out in a rush News special is Debbie worin live in Utah County for us tonight Debbie what a scare are they okay yeah they are okay but Mike and deie one Sergeant with search and rescue tells us had these boers not been wearing life jackets this whole thing could have ended a whole lot worse it just happened so quick and it was just flames you wouldn't know it by looking at the Serene Utah Lake at Sunset but earlier today a dramatic turn of events unfolded the pictures first surfaced on social media they just got on the water out of the Boat Harbor and Sergeant D Turner is with Utah County search and rescue his team got the call around 2: p.m. a family was in trouble in the water after their boat CAU fire they just said flame shot out of the bottom of the boat he wasn't the first one to arrive on scene but he heard from others people at Utah Lake helped and in hurry he says State Park Crews got to the boers within minutes the boers were in the water waiting for help he says everyone had a life jacket on today and that could have made the difference between life and death everybody's okay we brought a couple in here to the linen Harbor where fire was and just kind of had them evaluated really quick but no injuries no concerns no Burns that I that I'm aware of now that boat is a complete loss and we're told right now it is just outside the Harbor of American Fork it was too hot to bring all the way in Mike I'll send it back to you yeah uh that's unnerving for anyone involved there glad they had their life jackets on on Debbie thank you yep
