second quarter uh Philadelphia's got a three-point lead we'll see how that goes we're uh we're doing okay and for those of you that wondered uh my sons Gamble and I did not pay off today as the Royals Toronto Blue Jays uh rain got here a little late and they played the fifth inning in a torrential downpour puddles all over the infield and Outfield uh so yeah they got the G they got the game in couldn't get a run out of Toronto to tie it up uh just nothing nothing went well to help us so 11 bucks down the drain now we're going to have to pay uh now we're gonna have to actually pay for tickets later in this season all right let's get roll and talk about tomorrow's game shall we uh this is a game it's not going to get very many people excited I'm going to be honest with you it's two teams that uh nobody's too excited about uh about watching play great thing is about beton don't have to watch them you can go to the drive-in you can take your wife to dinner you can have a night with the kids maybe it's softball baseball night you don't have to be there to watch this it's going to be the Washington Nationals and the Miami Marlins be still my heart here we go Trevor Williams goes against Jesus lazardo for the fish Washington plus 150 guys I'm a sucker for plus money you know how it works and I'm playing the Nats right here this is a for me it's a great case of perception versus reality all right uh Nats were awful last year ended up finishing 20 games under 500 last place in the National League East Miami much improved they showed a little uh little hint there in 2022 and last year uh 6 over 500 and made the playoffs as a wildcard team but here's the deal for this season guys the Marlins so far in 2024 have been awful um they are uh uh they won just six games on the season and uh the Nationals well you know what they haven't sucked as much as they were supposed to they're three under on the year and they're currently five games up on Miami in the NL East thing about the Nationals you want to make a few excuses for their losses I'll do it they've played six against the Dodgers three against Philly three against Cincinnati meanwhile Miami started the season losing eight in a row to the Pirates angels and then two to the Cardinals not ideal um but the biggest disparity between these two teams as far as this game goes is between the pitchers uh lazardo was Dreadful to start the season in his first three starts gave up 15 runs in 15 Innings 15 earned by the way um he rided the ship a little bit in his last start gave up two runs in uh in in six Innings uh four walks excuse me four hits two walks so he's still you know one0 whip okay that's cool um but you know what he's been average at best with the Marlins since that came he came over mid-season trade from the Athletics uh I'm not convinced we have a new Jesus lazardo I think we've got more shitty starts on the horizon uh meanwhile Trevor Williams off to a fantastic start 291 ra .97 whip uh Washington 3 and one in his start starts versus 1 and three in Lardo starts um he doesn't go long Dave Williams say he's good for about 70 pitches which usually puts him somewhere around the fifth inning but nice part about it is is the pen for the Nationals has been far superior to the pen for Miami so far and Washington Nationals have done a good job of picking up starters all season long um yeah this is just one of those things I'm not saying that Washington should be favored in this game but if you ask me why they are a 3-2 Underdog I can't tell you I can't tell you an answer this one stands out like a sore thumb to me guys so we're going to play it let's take take a little plus money shot right here all right give me the Washington Nationals plus 150 against the Miami Marlins and at the end of that one you guys can join me as we pick up our winning tickets and head back to the window all right guys uh my guess on this one is we're going to get good clv we're going to get good closing line value here I think this game only gets uh the price only gets worse for us as Nationals backers so if you are interested in playing this one I would play it sooner
