Luke Keary Tribute [Music] as a kid from MX Queensland who grew up in Northwest Sydney all I ever wanted to be was a rug part and K makes a k through the over the St for a try ru8 it's the ultimate team sport I feel very fortunate and privileged for the opportunities and career that I've had and I can honestly say most challenging I've truly loved every man ear the emotional make us all C to my two head coaches we've enjoyed success and hardship M you gave me my first shot and I'll be forever grateful for you and to Robo I feel so privileged to have had the chance to play Under you I want to say thank you for the opportunity you given me to become the best player that I possibly could Luke is going to dash away KCK boo you're a club State and Australian captain got a short ball away and cner Teddy you pushed me every day to become the best player I could be and to me little mate C it was a dream to be able to play next to you and the lessons that you've taught me the roers have won it they are the champions right now I look forward to creating special memories throughout the rest of the year I can't wait to see all your fans of the rest of the games the jobs aren't done yet welcome back to Friday night footy Luke Keary Interview I'm with Luke Ki this has been a big week for you yeah man me good I feel I feel relieved obviously um just to get it off my chest but I'm really looking forward to tonight first and then the back end of the season was it your decision yes yeah yeah yeah yeah M I've um kind of come to term with it you can't you probably know you know inside yourself um when the time's right and if it feels really right for me but um I've still got this year so excited defensively tonight Roose Walsh coming around on those set plays what's the plan how do you think you should defend him on your Edge do your best I think no he's honestly mate he's um he's as explosive as I've seen since obviously bill um at the back there but yeah first job you got to control the forwards if you give him too much room out there he's near impossible to stop but um yeah we're not going to jam on him too much obviously you spook him a bit and anything can happen but you Al also don't want to give him too much space there's got to be a little bit of a balance there um but we got to put put him under some pressure cuz there is some errors around him too so we'll see how we go I look forward to watching all the best mate good thanks Joe Trent Robinson Interview thanks Joey yes we're joined by roosters coach TR Robinson Trent H big night for Luke Ki plays 150th game for the roosters but it's also been a big week for him as well announcing his retirement at season's end what influence has he had on this club well that's he's had I mean he's obviously his performances on field he really took us into that second sort of generation of my time here with with Cooper and winning the competitions but he's also been his own man throughout the whole period he really knows what he believes in uh off the field as well and he's created a really good Legacy there with the younger players
