[Music] hi there greetings and salutations this is the incredibly creatively and appropriately named now charitably awardwinning query and Schultz program on the IC Sports Network my name is Jake query that is Dereck Schultz and this was unintended the Indiana Purdue aspect of our attire today was not discussed trust me we do not talk to each other before the show we don't call each other we don't text each other we can we have we did we will we did not for this talk to each other well we didn't coordinate outfits but this happens to be we're going to preview some college football so we are neutral I'm wearing the Indiana shirt for this reason dere can you tell me why I'm wearing this Indiana shirt today uh it's the 1976 championship team okay I have no idea what year was the 1976 National Championship 197 sorry sorry 1976 oh there's another one hold on 1976 I believe yes and that what else happened in 1976 uh Bicentennial for the nation which is how many years 200 and what is today oh yeah look at that see the problem is the problem is Centennial showing the 200 100th airing of quar and Schultz on the IFC Sports Network if you have to think about it then it's not a good you know they always said that about a joke if you have to think about the joke I didn't have to think about it I not a good joke well but but if you like have to think about it then it's like I appreciate the gesture that you actually did think about the show which you very rarely do as we know every single week um but I have to think too much about Derek 200 200 shows of this show or of of us doing shows together oh my God we've done 15,000 shows how many shows have we done together on the radio August of 2011 to January of 20 we were on every weekday even some weekend special edition shows so however many shows that is 260 a year per year okay 260 times eight let's say okay, 1600 for uh so that's uh 2080 yeah okay so a little bit over 2,000 plus 200 that's well shy of your 15,000 Mark well I'm thinking 15,000 hours we probably have spent together well we've spent together more time because you're talking about the Hojo and San Antonio we were off air for that that was awesome um and some of those other trips that we made Bourbon Street meth out pizza guy that was not part of the show that was just us hanging and enjoying each other uh we have a lot to talk about and thank you first off for joining us and we'll get to the Colts we'll get to a ton going on but but I want to begin with this Derek sincerely um we began doing this program after we were laid off from the the radio show and after you called me every hour for uh like six straight days I might have panicked just a little bit and the ISC Sports Network and Greg rraw and the whole crew here reached out to us and said what about if you guys did a weekly podcast that is televised and admittedly I thought to myself uh and there was a pretty big and I appreciate it like excitement from people that we were going to be doing that and I thought to myself this will last for two months and then one of the two of us like the Gallagher brothers right we'll get sick of each other and then that will end that and Bailey and wood and you know Mike got on board Mike Wood and and Bailey and wood said they wanted to be a title sponsor for this program and love heating air and Chris and John love who have been like Brothers to me and have been loyal to us said they wanted to sponsor us and hogies and hops came on board and they've been tremendous and they have an exciting thing coming up that we're going to talk about Chateau kitchens has been with us for the vastor time chili water so we've had a number of different sponsors we've also had people who have been tremend tremendously loyal to us Darren King been loyal to us Valerie our friend Valerie Matthew I mean there there are a ton but I think a huge thank you to everybody that we made it to 200 shows here we probably won't make it to 205 but but 200 is pretty cool yeah and a couple of shout outs to some past ones too like WGU Indiana was with us from the beginning from the launch of the shop so Brian and Alex and the guys at the shop Indie uh were with theyve been yeah on and off um Lum malades we had a great run with and they were terrific people they just they had an agency get involved and then the agency was like wait a minute who are these guys and then um and that went away but but for the most part we've had a lot of positive experiences and and of course Jordan I mean hell when when we started like Wes wolf was still here like this was like you know four years ago when we started um and you know obviously Vince has had his up ups and downs but Vince is still here and employed and and um and doing our show as well and you know we appreciate him for um at least showing up every single week as well okay fair enough a lot to talk about today and that includes by the time this airs Derek uh at 7:30 tonight the Colts we will know their roster right they have until 4:00 today on Cut day but the reality is this I don't think there might be a surprise here and there but for the most part uh my buddy Mike Byron said it best to me he goes look everybody's excited about this but they're basically just running it back yeah I don't think there's anything that I'm I mean do we really care about the emergency quarterback thing I guess is not going to happen right so I mean and the running back situation the emergency quarterback thing for those that are unaware the NFL PA now has agreed to the fact a year ago the way it worked is that you were allowed to keep three on your roster um and that kind of did basically it was a bonus now if you want to keep that third quarterback um the third quarterback would have taken up a practice squad spot and you could use him as emergency quarterback but now for some why would the of did they say why they would vote that down I have no idea I don't understand why that would be a problem maybe they they don't want a rostered player it was additional pork in a bill that was passed to be snuck onto a practice squad is that maybe what they're thinking they're like hey if you want to quarterback put on the roster you you can keep three but will they do it I doubt it right um but I I think that's something to look at with with galani Wood's going to IR the tight end room is they're going to keep those guys right so that's not a situ that we thought might have been a situation that becomes an Bally they just table that discussion yeah that that we thought was going to be decided but it's not um you know Ronnie Harrison Jr is gone U maybe they read him after the fact but that kind of takes care of the Log Jam in the defensive secondary as well so and and and again Jake I always try to say this not not that we don't know the teams inside and out because we do right I mean Kell you're still in it every day you know them even better than I do and that that obviously was not the case when we were on the radio together um seems I just I just think you're reaching a very small amount of people when you're talking about who the Colt should keep as their swing tackle like it I just don't think you know John Q Colts fan in Avon really is investing that much time into who the 52nd and 53rd guys on the Rost what's the origin of John Q like did that go back to when John Quincy Adams was President yeah it's a good good question like I don't know that John Q Adams that excited about that suszie Q John Q oh Suzie Q John Doe I mean I think it it's kind of a play on John Doe right but John Q tax per you always hear be referen to John Quincy Adams play was he a tax guy I know you love the letter q or at least you did before it was kind of coopted by some people that you don't want to be I us to hat with a queue on it because my and then people started coming up to me and they're like oh so I I had already decided that we weren't really going to get in depth on the roster cuts a because I just don't think it's that topical and B by the time you're seeing this you know we're taping this very early on morning by the time by the time you see this yeah the decisions will have already been made um by the way I probably am now when I say I yawn it's partially because I'm next to you partially because it's early uh also last night kind of a late night but worth it I want to show you a photo here real quick uh I sent it to Vince earlier we'll see if he actually has the photo but I want to thank never know so this is my cousin Doug Doug Bowen right Bowen engineering this is myself and then this is Chris Coyle who is Doug's kind of you know lifelong BFF Chris's mother and my mom are childhood best friends this was last night at the Pearl James show at Ru off Greg rraw I gave a ride to I had never seen Pearl Jam I'm not a huge Pearl Jam guy I mean I like him I can respect him Chris Coyle this is what was fun to me about this show Derek Chris Coyle is a dieh hard diard Pearl Jam fan Doug got tickets for all of us very much appreciated and to see Chris Coy's totally unbridled joy and enthusiasm with every song that Pearl Jam played he knew immediately this track Seven album Number Six I mean with the first note yeah which was awesome but Pearl Jam is one of those bands you've heard me say this about when I went to Springsteen I I've never been if you're my age I mean I was in literally the album 10 came out my freshman year of college so it's my wheelhouse for certain I was never totally locked in on them but they're fine right people that like Pearl Jam will throw you down a the stairs seeing Pearl Jam live they were Coyle said it to me at the beginning he's like Jake I'm telling you like these guys are about to just shred it they come out and it is a roaring roller coaster ride for two and a half hours and they are totally on point the thing that was fascinating to me Derek is a lot of bands it's the guitarist or the basis or the drummer that kind of makes it and the lead singer's voice goes away I mean admittedly Guns and Roses Axel Rose does not sound like he did right yeah I know he sounds like a dead cat well I don't know about that yeah that seems a little harsh I he's still they're one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time in my opinion the greatest American rock and roll band of all time Guns and Roses but okay Eddie vet's voice has Pearl James sound you can ex you can interchange and I know that to the novice fan the guitarist the basist whatever the sound of Eddie veter and his voice is what makes and identifies them his voice is exactly the same as it was 30 years ago you so rarely hear that they sound exactly like the album exactly like what you hear on the radio uh it was a great show it was I totally get it and it was a great night because to look out and see the packed Ru off and the lawn is packed and beach balls and everybody basically is 50-year-old dudes right um I saw Jeff George there it was great to see Jeff George uh I saw a ton of people that came up to say hi and it was a lot of fun so very cool last yeah my cousin uh class in 90s so he was a year old than you a year ahead of you um huge PE Jam guy has seen him live um he worked for Sal still does works for Salesforce and they did one of these like Salesforce things where you know they they go to Hawaii and it's like a conference and hey look who they brought on stage and it's freaking Eddie veter are you serious and Eddie veter goes to the crowd and he says hey does uh can anyone help me sing this song and my cousin Timmy knows he knows every Pearl Jam song like your buddy and he raises his hand and Eddie veter brought him up on stage and you know you talk about like highlight of his life it's like his Facebook background and all that I mean when when we saw I was on a teex St with him and my other cousins and we everybody was just freaking out what do you think Salesforce paid him yeah any better not your cousin yeah good good question um for a for a one night concert um in Hawaii yeah million bucks I would think yeah right you think I you probably start there right yeah speaking of which and we will get to Sports in a second this is unbelievable to me my Clairvoyance have you ever thought about like how I I can speak things into reality have you noticed this I if I talk about something typically it ends up I'm literally I literally am there's a reason that I am q right because when I things that I talk about they come true I think it was the last show that we did when I proposed my reunion Beatles Concert hypothetical and said I i' I've mentioned two things when it comes to music on this show before I know for a fact one is I came up with the Beatles hypothetical of if the Beatles were to reunite and play at wimbley Stadium how much would tickets be yeah the other is like a year ago I sat here and looked right at that camera and said if Oasis ever reunites I will be at the show I will be there I will go and I will see Oasis what happens but yesterday Oasis announces that they are reuniting and they're doing a reunion show at wimbley Stadium are they coming here they not said okay they're playing Manchester England their Hometown they're playing four shows at wimbley and I think one in Ireland because what sucks is the Indiana State Fair free stage is over now so they would have to wait till next year um maybe like Iowa or Wisconsin have a free stage of the State Fair and then you could bring Oasis I'm trying to think of like what they would like maybe a County Fair um high school you know high school party or something like that they they're too they're too good for that Ohio Oasis is too established for that but probably like State Fair like fog hat fog hat played um State Fair that's probably where Oasis would do where do you think honestly they would play if they came to Indianapolis they're not going to come to Indianapolis but if they did where would they play State Fairgrounds yeah State State Fairgrounds they would play well the Beatles played there so that's cool yeah yeah a long time ago when Indianapolis had no other place for them to play where else were they going to do the concert next week Derek a week from today do you know what it is what what do you think I I oh God it's your birthday and it's your birthday and and it is the 60th anniversary of the beetle show cool congratulations but a week from today's my birthday and uh this Thursday is Shannon's birthday oh happy birthday Shannon um I guess we do have to get back to sports at some point right we're like how many minutes are we into the show and we've talked about Pearl Jam we've talked about your Clairvoyance and we're 15 minutes into the show um that's why people love the show that's why that's how it made it to 200 we don't talk Sports we just use that as a backdrop I'm going to save the Colts like season stuff for next week cuz we're still right we're still a week and a half away I I don't want to like waste our our bullets in the gun for that there um the Anthony Richardson stuff I I I thought was very overreaction with Cincinnati players talking trash to him and then he kind of had an up and down preseason finale look I I do want to say this and this kind of piggybacks on what we were talking about last week week I'm expecting the Colts to be good I think that is a fair expectation for a team that ran everything back and is returning what of of their 22 starters 21 of 22 you know however many that they're returning I think it is fair to expect them to be a playoff team and to be good so I'm not going to play this game I'm not I'm not going to say that and then come back if they disappoint in January and be like well it's okay here CU Anthony Richards is only in year two I don't need them to win the Super Bowl I have a firm expectation that this is a playoff team if they don't reach the playoffs That season then becomes a disappointment SL a failure period so here on this side of the table I'm done with like all of this like excuse making and and everything else we've been making excuses for the Colts for 10 years Derek did you've watched Seinfeld right I I realized 30-year-old show but you've seen not close to the level that you have but yes okay there is an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry meets a woman at a party I think she's very attractive then he sees her later when on their first date and the lighting is different and her face looks totally different I actually remember that episode and he's like what in the world and so wherever they go depending on the light it changes how she looks sometimes she's beautiful and other times he's like that's going to be the season of Anthony Richardson right there are going to be times he looks out outstanding and you think to yourself holy cow because he does things presumably or is going to have the ability to do things that very few can do but there are also times where he looks very subpar he he and I I don't want to be one of these guys that's like you know I watch the film and D but sha King the former quarterback that played for the Tampa Bay Bucks to uh sha King I had him on the radio show like a year ago and he made a comment to me on the air I don't know Sean King at all but he made a comment about Anthony Richardson and I thought it was a really good Insight but I couldn't remember exactly what it was so I sent him a DM on Twitter and was like Hey I'm the guy that just had you on can you elaborate and he was very cool and what he was saying was he's like watch when he when he is releasing the football he at at times he he puts his elbow too high and so therefore he's overthrowing he and it sounded weird at the time but then I watched it and it is true that that often times Richardson in his mechanics without getting into the Nuance of the mechanics the easiest way to say it though is I think Richardson is one of those guys that has been able to naturally do things for so long that his mechanics in terms of the actual motion of where it needs to be at the NFL level because of the tighter windows and Etc he's not gotten into the habit of doing things mechanically because he hasn't had to before so he is still learning a lot of things that are not yet instinctive to him and I I see a lot of times when he when he comes out he almost like he was working so hard on on his release Point that he's throwing it to he he releases to early and that's where he either dirts it or he then is overthinking it and he overthrows people there's just no natural instinct to boom that's where it's going to go that that'll come in time I I mean I'm convinced of that but the time is not yet there and and he is going to be the question is is he going to be Jonathan Bender and a guy that was unproven and constantly teased talent that healthwise could never get it going or is he going to be a guy that that you look at it and it it comes to fruition andly he's Paul George or Kevin Garnett where you're like okay now I see it right we don't know and it probably will be a year from now before we have a true indication so it's going to be this kind of a year and I and I understand obviously it's the most important position that there's going to be a learning curve with Anthony Richardson but there's not a learning curve with Jonathan Taylor there's not a learning curve with Quint Nelson there's not a learning curve with deforce Buckner there's not a learning curve with zier Franklin there's not a learning curve with you know what I mean well yeah good good point there I mean he's expected to come in play right away but my point is you know wide angle lens view of the Colts I expecting them to be good that is a fair expectation and that is the right expectation and if they are not good and if they are not a playoff team then the season is a disappointment Point Blank period yeah you you shouldn't have to wait around forever for it to happen and for all of these things to align and be perfect cuz that's not how the NFL works when Jim mer said that Chris Balor is a blue chip GM was he saying that because he was trying to sell people or was he saying that because he truly believes it oh he 150% believes it yeah 150 he is he's always been in the tank for Ballard and I I do think that Ballard's um track record can't be measured alone on the surface level of the record there were there was a lot that went that you know 2017 was a Lost season because luck was out and really if we're being honest 2019 was a Lost season as well it was you know they won seven games uh but they were fortunate to do that with but that's five years ago you know you can't play that card forever um so two of the losing Seasons I I think you can kind of throw out and then the record becomes a lot different I remember when um and I can't remember if it was one of the years when luck was hurt or when he actually retired but um I remember how big a fan you were of jacobe brassette I feel bad because brassette for all intents and purposes was a great guy and a wonderful teammate who everybody loved right right we just got brassette was The Rebound who everybody was convinced the Colt should marry and it's like no guys you're just you're holding on to something here because your heart is broken and so you've convinced yourself that this is something that he's not like the talk of jacobe brassette being like playing at an MVP level was completely and totally like insanely ridiculous did you ever have like like you you had to be huffing paint to be watching those games and think that jacobe brassette was playing in an MVP level like he was fine right but like you know he made one throw against Denver and I remember after that Denver he made one throw all game he was he was awful all game made one throw and he came back in all the national shows were talking about well he's the second quarterback best quarterback in the AFC behind Mahomes it's like come on guys give me a break did you ever have a rebound girl yeah yeah actually Megan in a way was and I dated her for a year and a half Megan yeah which one she Megan from college well a rebound means that somebody broke up with you beforehand right well yeah uh and did and then um there were there were a couple of others in there um but not like anything like I I mean I guess some of those could be Rebound in the scope of like 24 hours um but well like you know 2 to four hours I guess uh but um no Megan would be the rebound one yeah does Megan know that I think I was her rebound too cuz she she was like infatuated with this guy that actually went to Purdue that she used to go up to see um and they broke up and then he was seeing somebody else and then we were kind of in the same spot when we uh when we met each other she was living with my buddy's girlfriend in the Villas and that's how I met her and how long did you guys St year and a half really yeah yeah who broke up with who it was sort of a are we still doing this thing when we came back summer before our summer before our senior year she went back home to Jersey and I stayed in Indiana and both of us made some decisions when we were parted and then we kind of came back and we're like are we still doing this and the answer ultimately was no kind of like the fate of this show what do you mean this is a committed relationship I mean we're doing stuff on the side like I have ibj and you've got your radio show and all of that but like this is a committed marriage we still have a lot to get to today right yeah we do including our hogi and hero of the week can I get into thisy this is fabulous hog me it's a hog Hog Island in my opinion the not only the best sandwich at hogies and hops but like the core sand Which sandwich is the one that made you drop an F bomb this one hog yeah this is the first one we ever did but this was like the one that motivated Christina to open up her shop the hog because you can't really get like a really good Italian out here in uh in Indiana except from hogis and hops so it's our hogi of the week uh brought to you by a friends at hogies and hops 42 Boulevard and this is what you'll be eating for the hogi eating contest on September 7th lovely oh I already took a bite yeah that's okay do you want to race still no because I like to savor it okay should I try just on my own to see how fast I can eat it you you want me to time it hold on D this just not people okay you know what do regular it's kind of gross on the air to do the eating contest you know what I mean so let's just do it I'll e at a normal place cuz I don't want to gross anybody out don't talk with your mouthful it's like radio 101 I don't want to gross anybody out oh jeez the mic our chili water Brew the week sorry Vince came in here and did something to it um it's the grapefruit rather really really good it's still 800 billion degrees outside it sucks we had like a Immaculate false fall Vib last week immaculate it was like this is like summer and a can but this is summer in a can for sure I think this is my new favorite beer from there it's very good I think this is my new favorite beer from there here's the thing grapefruit is tart this is not it's it's just light it's crisp it's just enough of the it's a logger sour plus the crispness and you can get that at chil water tap room right there Southwestern edge of Midtown right next door to hogies in hops 42 Boulevard beautiful hero of the week um I'm stepping out a little bit for this one you know because of the fever and because of the Olympics not that we spend a whole lot of time on indie car but I feel like generally the summer months we bring up indie car on the show because you know you're following them around you're you're on the the radio network team and all that we haven't really talked indie car at all this entire summer because there's just been bigger stuff going on but you know just a guy that I think 20 years from now will be like you know what damn he he was really good and I think you think of it now but you have to think about it it's willpower yeah you know like what a career he's had 44 career wins now his third of the year and three wins this year if not for what happened at Gateway which was I don't know that I would say it's new Garden's fault I'm I'm a little bit of a loyalist to New Garden admittedly but the incident that happened at the end of the racing Gateway that that will will you know will power got punted by Alexander Rossy and ended will power's day if not for that he's right in the thick of the points Chase he's 59 points out from Alex poo with three left and all three are on ovals so he's got a chance um the other thing about will power that's interesting to me Derek is the fact that there's just been this constant Narrative of well Pensky is looking for who's going to replace willp power as soon as he retires David MCAS signed with AJ Foy that's because there's a partnership with Pensky and that means that Pensky is like keeping him in the wings because they're going to hold on to him until willp power retires that's the narrative I'm not saying that's the fact power has come out and said who says I'm retiring you know and and when you look at the way that he's raced this year he he's two years removed from a championship yeah and he's won three races this year yeah I mean I don't know why we're not treating him like you would treat Scott Dixon right Dixon's going to be there as long until he falls off right and I think power you know 43 isn't isn't crazy old I mean you know you're getting up there at 43 but that's not wild to think that he could turn this out for three or four more seasons before maybe it starts to go away but yeah uh 50 what is it 55 points 54 points nine I think 59 okay behind P so he's still in the mix for a championship but still running at a high level and um I like the fact that he's gotten defensive about that a little bit you know he's always kind of had that um he's a great guy with a dry sense of humor but he's always kind of had that like you know he he'll bite you on the hand if if he gets po you know what I mean yeah that's right um he's very reactionary and I like that I like that you know the double birds and Lowden all those years ago and stuff like that I I like that he Joseph nard I mean his teammate right because he he generally is like a super laidback guy you do you do the voice way better yeah super laidback guy pretty cool you know but then every once in a while you know you hit him the wrong way and he'll go crazy it's like you with a customer service rep on the phone where it's like Hi how are you and then if you hear something that you don't like how hard is your job that's not true who's your supervisor no I the other day I had to to call one of the Airlines and and and the woman was super nice and I said what is your name your employee number and what your what's your call center I'm going to send a Tweet about it and I you know I do those things right one of the my first memories of you speaking of Lowden because I think that was 2011 the first year of the show I walked into the studio it was like 10 minutes before we about to take the air and you're on the you're on with like somebody from American Airlines or something and you go let me ask you a question how hard is your effing job I I have no recollection like oh my God I have no what's going on there or it was Enterprise rent a car or something it it was like either a rent a car place or here's what here's what Derek doesn't tell you on the air Derek likes to point this out about customer service do you know what Dereck said to me one time one time 200 shows now we've been doing together on the IC Sports Network and one time Dereck said Derek said to me you know what I actually envy your assertiveness and getting things done you did I wish I had that switch because there are sometimes where somebody like a customer like a a company or whatever has really like legitimately screwed me where they have deserved to get that treatment right but I can't dial that up I'm just too nice of a guy hey you know I think you made a little mistake here how how are you yeah no no no problem it's no big deal whereas like you're like and my mother-in-law is the same way nicest person in the world but you absolutely do not mess with her it's effective right yeah it ends up working she was a postal worker forever so to to have that you you'd have to kind of be that way 402 Boulevard hogies and hops September 7th hog eating contest hog chili water Brewing grapefruit rler I think we both agree this is this our favorite beer or we both saying that very good so far very good favor beer uh in fact Christina is going to join the show coming up later on so we'll play that interview for you in a couple of minutes but um fever back on track we'll talk about that and college football expectations I got the golden black on Jake has the crimson and cream we'll talk IU Purdue Notre Dame as well when we return it's quaran Schultz presented by Bailey and wood finan group here on the ISC Sports [Music] Network hey AC which games we going to tonight you know we cover all sports in Central Indiana hop in it's going to be a long night baile andwood mortgage lender proud partner of news8 sports Hummer [Music] hey AC nice snap Mor snap duh Bailey and wood a landing hand for Wish TV sports welcome back Bailey wood presents quaran Schultz I Sports alongside Jake query I'm Derrick Schultz episode two hundo and Bailey and wood has been with us for like probably 150 140 of those I think they came on in year two but we've known I I mean I've known Mike Wood since God 07 08 I've known him almost 20 years great dude and we had a relationship with him uh during the the radio days as well but five star customer service at Bailey and wood Financial Group 855350 home so if you want to refinance or if you want to get that uh pre-approval for your mortgage housing market because inventory is low is still hot uh you know if if there's a a home that you like you got to put in an offer uh right away and in order to put in that offer you need to get that pre-approval for that mortgage and you can do so with Mike Wood and his team at Bailey and wood Financial Group uh super great at what they do also super awesome in the community yeah for sure especially on the south side of Indianapolis you know Johnson County Greenwood Whitland but um extending elsewhere because they now have I believe 19 Indiana branch locations and a couple in Florida even a Bailey andwood Financial Group so 855350 home ba wfg.com for our friends at B and duub um you want to start fever you want to start college I don't have a lot to about the fever but um bounce back with a win they're now three And1 since the Olympic break and an important win over Atlanta you know we're taping this Tuesday morning so they beat Atlanta last night and the reason why that game is important is because Atlanta is the separator from the playoff teams Atlanta's ninth and the top eight teams make the playoffs so the fever now are three and a half clear of the playoff cut line by beating Atlanta and they have the season tiebreaker Derk no one no one wants to face him in the post no another big game for Caitlyn Clark she rolled her ankle uh but 197 and seven Kelsey Mitchell had 29 she's been hot lately um fever host Connecticut on Wednesday cait Clark last night and then at Chicago on Friday so a very interesting week for the fever Caitlyn Clark last night at the Pearl Jame concert Eddie veter says he there weren't a lot of times where he talked to the crowd but in one of the times where he was talking to the crowd he said you know to be here in Indiana and he and he says home one of my favorite athletes and everybody's thinking he's going to say Larry Bird because in my apologies well the guitarist is wearing a Larry Bird t-shirt oh okay and he says Caitlyn Clark and he's like we got the fever and everybody goes crazy and I'm like holy cow yeah it's pretty sweet yeah I mean sometimes you can run into trouble with that because I went to uh the final four show at White River with Stone Temple Pilots in 2010 and Scott wiland started naming the final four team so he's like Duke and Butler and he was like super out of it like he didn't know where he was and he goes and let's hear it from you Michigan fans and it was Michigan State yeah so I was around some Michigan State fans and they weren't super happy about you know it being called Michigan so I'm glad that Eddie veter actually got the name right and didn't say like you know Kate Clark or something terasi CN Clark yeah cool though but but I'm telling you the the fever Derek the record is irrelevant because they're going to get into the playoffs and they got off to such a slow start yeah I mean in the beginning they're a much different team than were it's night in day right um totally different team and they're going to be fun to watch in the playoffs and nobody wants to see them yeah I I would like to see them climb up to the point where they're kind of avoiding you know New York and Connecticut right and if they could get there and then you know I think it'd be really hard for them to win against New York or we talked so much about about Caitlyn Clark but there are other players on that team that are playing really well I mean Kelsey Mitchell's playing well you know they Lexi Hull's playing well Lex H's come around yeah um and defensively she's been great uh Aaliyah Boston I I don't think has been as good as I was hoping age with that I would agree with that um but she's been fine she's had an okay season um Nelissa Smith is somebody else that I'd like to see a little bit more from as a former second pick but I think overall you got to be happy with with how the roster performed and I think um you know that that growth and development has also clicked for Christy sides uh she she looked like she was in over her head early in the season as the fever did as a team and um I think she's found herself a little bit and found her voice and and um and that's helped that shirt looks a little small on you yeah I think it's just it's hard because the stitching here doesn't really hold everything in um so it's hard it's hard it's hard for somebody that is built like me to find shirts that really fit because they don't really make like for the extra bulges they don't make a lot of room cuz they're used to building like for thinner guys or slightly overweight guys they're used to um having shirts built constructed for people like that it's probably more so that they don't make a lot of Gran almost Smalls right this is a medium okay but yeah ideally I'd be between a small and a medium but the problem is is that especially with my my pecs um it's tough Smalls are tough for me because it just like I look like I'm Iron Man so that's uh you know it's a cross that I bear let's talk college football War mention the shirts you've got the IU one on even though it's a basketball shirt I've got the Purdue one on uh both of those teams open up um I technically the season open up last week right week zero FSU and Georgia Tech and Dublin what am what am I missing in Ireland let's go sem and the other Jack yeah am I missing something like I I don't know that that Geor de beat him right yeah but that specific matchup in that location made zero sense to me like if you want to throw Notre Dame in Dublin sure uh or or like I don't know somebody with a more does Florida State still have a national fan base they did when I was a kid because in the 90s it was kind of cool to like Florida State I mean they Florida State last year I think kind of became a rallying cry because they got completely screwed by the system right yeah but they're so whiny that you know what I mean everybody's like get over it yeah but but I I don't think that people feel super sympathetic towards Florida State because they're trying to get get out of the ACC in the whole deal anyway week one um Indiana opens against Ln are we doing that game on IC ISC does Indiana have Lawrence Central in week one I was looking at their schedule I think they play Tri West Beach Grove uh Beach Gro I mean in Indiana schedule is kind of a joke right which it should be that that that is the way that Indiana should build their non-conference schedule um Purdue has the only free space on their board with Indiana State um and then they go at Oregon State and they play Notre Dame in their non-conference but the 17th and 18th teams in the Big 10 and it's so weird Jake because you're you're thinking to yourself God these are picked 18 teams and the two teams that are in the state of Indiana are picked second last and last but I just think on paper both of those teams are better than your traditional let me tell you right now 17th and 18th Place team and I'll let you handle Purdue because you got this has nothing to do with the fact I'm wearing the Indiana shirt because I'm actually going to the Purdue Oregon game bought tickets to go up there and go to it I like Purdue we'll get to that um but I'm here to make a prediction I predicted somewhat The Oasis reunion I even predicted the venue wimbley Stadium because I talk things into existence whether it be Woodland whether it be the 24hour Beach Grove one where you can still smoke cigarettes whether it be royal pin whether it be duck pin huh I was thinking about the Royal pin old radio ad okay and what's that for the Indians no royal royal pin and ring rol Royal pin it's bowling bowan bowan oh yeah well whatever it is yeah Indiana fans all of those things I just mentioned brace yourself pick one because you are bowling this year I'm telling you right now Indiana's going to be better than people think their schedule is favorable they're going to be better than people think and Indiana is going to win minimum six games and they are both eligible and they go into the postseason this year guarantee write it down mark my words one week before I turn years old it's not that of that that it's not that outlandish because F Western Illinois Charlotte there's three so you're halfway there all you really have to do I mean the only read their schedule the only two games to me that are unwinable like you are not winning these games at Ohio State and Michigan everything else even Washington at home you know coming off I look I they're probably going to be a 10-point dog to washhington which is fair I don't think that that is out landish to think that Indiana could compete in that game so all you would have to do is go what three and three against UCLA Maryland North Western Nebraska Michigan State Perdue let's take Washington out of it all you'd have to do is go three and three against those six right but the problem with Indiana football and I know this as an Alum every single year it's well all Indiana has to do is do this and they never do it Derek I do think it's different I think with Kurt Signet it's different the roster's different the mentality is different they they are they are much more set up for Success this year from a wins and losses standpoint than Purdue correct Purdue is is better across the board they're more talented they get Hudson card back who's one of the better returning quarterbacks in the Big 10 it's funny because like being a returning quarterback is suddenly like a a commodity in the transfer portal era right where you have the guy that was the starter last year but God you get you get notame Oregon Penn State um Ohio state Wisconsin who they have a 20 against you got to go at Coralis that's a tough game even if they're in a rebuild um it's going to be tough for them I feel bad for Oregon State but we'll see I know it sucks and Washington State um we'll see you know Curtis RoR with IU the Ohio quarterback the the transfer portal you know Donovan mccolley comes back the cupboard was not bare for Tom Allen that's what made the results unacceptable was that the cupboard was not bare like Indiana last year should have been a better team than it was just a mentality and I hate to use the word cult such a buzz word it was a mentality culture issue and I think Indiana's turned that around yeah and I just think you had you had things get sideways halfway through the Allen era and they were just throwing everything against the wall to see what stuck and nothing stuck like they were incapable of solving their problems I I I think deep down they had no idea what was wrong they they thought hey we we've got everything cooking what happened and you know you wonder if you know maybe it was a mirage without Tom Allen though I'm going to miss this yeah you one two you know what to do Indiana well yeah after the seven overtime win at home against akan where they missed like a 30 yard field goal to keep you alive in that game yeah I don't know if I'd be in the mood for singing coach I'll be totally honest was and cetti you're right brings brings an attitude that's different but um you know Charlie Weiss brought an attitude that was different you know um there have been a lot of guys schematic Advantage Derek yeah there there have been guys that have failed speaking of um I I think this might be uh of this Century which isn't saying much because N A has had a lot of you know lately they've been very good but the first half of this Century they'd been pretty bad um I think this might be on paper maybe their best defense or one of their best defenses you know that 2012 they had a really good one 2015 with Jaylen Smith there are some that are saying Notre Dame's goingon to win at all believe it when I see it who's their schedule who do what's the big it's it's not that bad um it's never that Florida state is um Notre Dame schedule is always like everybody's like oh they play the toughest schedule like who Navy let's see BYU okay let me go Boston College they don't always play Boston College that's part of the ACC rotation um so the the tough games this year would be A&M in the opener on the road um Florida state which maybe doesn't look hold on there is no traditional bigger paper tiger than Texas A&M I know right but still from a talent every year with Texas A&M Mike Elco is a great coach he's done he's won everywhere that he's gone but we do this every year with A&M Notre Dame goes down and beats Texas A&M by& M's favor uh USC who I don't think anybody can quite figure out like are they good are they is Lincoln Riley a good coach is he not and Florida State those are the three tough games but the rest of it is very manageable um yeah I don't know how brahs Louisville team's going to be this year Stanford's been down for a while you know Georgia Tech maybe is a tricky game but you get them at home um the the good thing for for nerame is that they only play three true Road games at A&M at Purdue at SC everything else is home or neutral yeah so it's a it's a it's a nice always but sometimes it changes Jake I mean I remember a couple years ago I thought that they had a really tough schedule and then it imploded you knew who likes Notre Dame who's that John love because John Love's wife m is the sister so that would make John brothers-in-law of Bill Peebles the head football coach at Cathedral that had a huge win on Friday night over Ben day they smack them massively impressive for Cathedral and Coach Peebles and you know naturally that makes him a Notre Dame fan as well love Heating in air which is John love love dhac do.com 317 353 2141 is the telephone number uh love these guys they've been loyal to us they've been good to us but most importantly loyal and good to customers when it comes to Heating and cooling your home especially older homes cuz they've been around for over 100 years so they specialize in those tricky homes in the Meridian catler area sometimes a little bit older maybe a little bit more difficult no problem for love Heating in air Maran and all of the donut counties 24-hour on call maintenance and fantastic when it comes to the prices quality of product and treating you with honesty and integrity that's what you want when you're allowing people into your home love- hvac.com 317 353 2141 they bring us each and every week our favorite of the week we call it love that play Derek your nominee is you know I'm uh I have a soft on my heart for the Little League World Series because I'm from treml Connecticut of course as everybody remembers um kind of like when when you think of great Sports moments of the 20th century um Miracle on Ice thrill in Manila um trouble beating Chinese Taipei um walk-off bunt a walk-off bunt for Florida to win and you feel bad for um the Taiwan pitcher because he uh you know threw to first base and nobody was covering first base it's it's a miserable way to lose right on an air when it's a one-1 game and you guys have played so well but still you know a memorable moment anytime a World Series ends in a walkoff you think of like Joe Carter in the blue J where in Florida uh I don't actually even know so I don't know I just know it's team Florida so here's the thing that proves that the 1989 team nobody knows Trumble no everybody knows Trumble yeah everyone knows that one can recite it right off the top of their head Chris Drury G guess right now the Florida team where do you think they're from I'll say Okala what's your guess Okala let's see I'm going to say um I I I honestly don't even know I I don't even know what to say myamar Beach is there is there such a thing I think there's AAR that's a movie Miramar Florida isn't it uh just listed as Florida Lake Mary Lake Mary okay great where's Lake Mary no idea it's next to Lake Joseph so congratulations to Florida USA USA for winning the Little League World Series um you know you mentioned love Heating and Cooling I think that love actually missed the first episode I want to say that love came on the second episode but basically let's just give them credit for the first one in the entire second incarnation of quar and Schultz here on IC Sports Network this is now episode 200 uh love Heating and Cooling has been Orlando by the way okay great can we talk not far fromal this is an emotional moment um love Heating and Cooling has been on board for basically all those shows yeah now it helps that Jake was childhood best friends with Chris and John so they feel indebted to him I played Little League baseball with them Chris and John love were on the Red Sox with me in little league but love has been with us the whole way they sponsored a Red Sox Little League team and we shouted out chatau kitchens and and all of our you know Bailey and wood and and hogies and hops and Christina and chilly water uh tap room and and all of our current sponsors and past and present with like WGU and L and the whole deal but um I believe that the guys at ISC all episode it's great that they they personalized the cake for us and I think Greg he still is the president yeah see we have the cake right here cow yeah and the greetings want to tip it too much hold that this way and then there we go you want to point it on you walk right over fr the camera do that it's tough CU it's right here walk him through it there we go yeah now look at this thing turn it a little bit that wait it's got to go go that's why I'm behind screen to Jake's camera so this this is from where because this is like art this is put this in the Lou right yes yeah so Kathy Woodward Kathy Woodward Flora yeah look at that I noticed uh the logo the logo's off what do you mean no it's perfect no I think hold on what do you need to see put that back on there query query and no query's right yeah there's a c in Schultz that's oh yeah they misspelled your name that's awesome well the Dropbox folder is still Schultz for isc2 S so I think we just need to uh there wasn't enough space would uh no big deal that's about how it goes it's it's like Bill Schultz right yeah that's about no we got to get a picture of us with the with the it's the gesture this matter well I'm going to put it in front of you here congratulations gentlemen well appreciate your work on the ISC Sports I appreciate you having us for sure um Derek in particular is relatively High the pleasure is ours outside patience and tolerance is greatly appr spelling but we'll um we'll take a picture how about this during the commercial break we'll come back with Christina and our interview hogies and hops when we come back and then berer buep with shto kitchens as last name have a in it before we wrap up it's Coran Schultz i Sport we've been together for 14 years you're know how to spell my name I don't know [Music] how at baileywood we pride ourselves on our five-star customer service but at our core we're a fan familyowned and family to our customers staff and our community from charity events to recognizing Hometown Heroes we prioritize giving back to our communities that have always supported our growth so let us help you get your dream home [Music] [Applause] [Music] today welcome back it's Coran Schultz ISC Sports Network and as you can tell we are not in studio right now on floating in a hogies and hops World Jake is in the two-bedroom apartment where he lives alone and Christina is a cat I live with a cat D and he's gonna jump into the shot just so you know human being wise Jake lives alone and Christina is over on the southwestern edge of Midtown 42nd in Boulevard at hogies and hops and we're gonna be talking about one of the highlights of the year the hogy Eating Contest which is coming up on September 7th at 2:30 and God what year is this now Christin for the contest this is the eighth Coke eating contest wow so I know I'm actually celebrating nine years in October so this is our eth eth year here's what I love about this Christina like people love this people get totally into it people I mean all of the listeners that we have you know Greg P's all fired up for it he has been all year Darren's all fired up for it people and then you come in the whole area it looks like Philly right 42 and like there's there's cars there's people out front you can get a chil water you can hang out but tell me how this all came about and and how this has grown into what it is now yeah so the hogy shop itself so when I first moved out here to be closer to my parents in 2000 I was at Penn State at the time I moved out here in ' 07 with my husband just uh kind of get a you know we wanted to change so we came out thinking we'd move in maybe two more years well I ran some restaurants got sucked in bought a house enjoyed Indianapolis and after eight years of running a local restaurant group decided I had missed the food and if I could run six restaurants at once I could do my own so I started in Flat 12 Brewery which is on the near east side which is the first place I met Derek and that was in 2015 in October so um I brought in the rolls from lisso Bakery and souy which I never could have opened if I couldn't have gotten these the rolls out here the coold cuts for deedson Watson um hers potato chips a lot of family recipes a lot of Pennsylvania Dutch Meats I carry uh the it hogies actually I opened my first nine months with only hogies because I wanted to teach people the authenticity of hogi rather than just the cheese steaks I always remember the first time somebody walking into my shop saying hey it's a Philly place where are the Phillies and I'm like should I have the team behind me because I don't know what Phillies are so that was always so everybody you know hearing the word Philly I'm like okay but anyway so I started the Cheese Steaks and it just went from there and uh yeah it was there for three years um moved up here to the butler Tarkington neighborhood with chili water um they were looking for a second location we've been friends for a long time and we decided to do this little joint venture and we call it Philly appolis so it's a little blend of Philly and Indianapolis together and yeah bringing a little Philly and keeping a little bit of that local all in the same spot but we love the neighborhood um when growing up like hogies is what we used to sell for Girl Scouts for my soccer league and that's how we raise money more so than just doing Bak good so so I love doing a lot of things with the neighborhood association with the MLK Center um our food pantry that's across the street we have Santa Claus every Christmas time and we raise money and food for the pantry during that time I work with Girls Inc uh we do a lot in this vicinity and I've done obviously have done a lot of um Dy to donates with the schools and so it's not it's it's very family friendly you know even though we're very Sports and we got a bar um we love to welcome a lot of families and our patio is dog friendly you mention giving back of course this hog eating contest uh part of the the motivation for this is giving back as well so tell us about um the cause that the hogy eaters will be participating towards coming up here on September 7th all right so ever since I started it 2016 um you know everyone knows someone or has a family member that has been in the military that has you know is a veteran or is currently serving and it's what who's your uh who's your veterans and families Association of Indiana of Indiana that's who I raise money for um they take care of a lot of vets who have lost jobs who can't find jobs but give them the tools that they need to look for jobs to find homes to get fed and um help you know and they work with the VA and I always love being a part of it so yeah this is our eighth year donating to them so the $25 registration fee um that is in order to participate for the poy contest is go straight to towards them it'll be a straight donation from every ticket sold plus we'll have somebody from H year collecting donations and we'll also be donating 10% of all of our food and beer sales that day uh to agath so if you're not interested in participating I just you know it's so much fun obviously you're coming to the only hog eting contest in the state of Indiana I mean Joe fut did it a few years ago on his own but you know people do you know they it's fun it's only for a few minutes get here at 2:15 buy some food buy some beer watch it it'll probably be three and a half minutes yeah so the winner yeah we've had two winners since I started so uh eight years ago the first three years was Sam who actually lives in this neighborhood so it's been very easy for him to come to the contest every year now K who is from West Billy who I've known since I moved here I met him even when I was running the El Room downtown and we've gone to football games together Eagles games together um but yeah he's won for the past four years and his last time was 3 minutes and 15 seconds and that is a whole hogy now we say 18 inch because that's typically what the rolls are before it's baked however when we go to measure it out and make sure everyone has the same you're looking more like at 20 to 21 inches so I'm trying to remember because I haven't weighed so far this year but it's definitely over three and a half pounds um between the between for that whole sandwich that Derek loves to uh take down on that day and I can't wait to see you do it this September the best I I can usually get about halfway through before corn finishes so I'm I'm I'm at 50% his capacity but um the important thing is we got to get Jake to do it I I know it's it's oil and meats and cheeses and he's always self conscious about his diet but hey the Every Sandwich we have is awesome so I'm cool with it I'm down with it have ch water as well but the most important thing is the sandwiches are the best my question is people that do want to participate how do they get involved can they just show up day of September 7th so yeah um I would prefer everyone to register ahead of time I them to either email me at Christina hogies and hoops.com which you can find online you can find I mean probably through your site um you can come in pay and then you can register here on site as well um I'm asking it would be nice to everybody that way I know how many sandwiches to get together I can get everything prepped I can get everybody's shirts together but I do I do typically have one or two people who show up that day and I can usually squeeze them in and we try to cap it around 23 25 uh right now we have about 10 spots left so I mean like I said it's all for a good cause and most people do it for fun because obviously not everyone's a competitive eater they do it because they care for the cause they do it because hey they did a contest you know and it's is it is it's always a great time and it's only a few minutes out of your day they do it because the sandwiches are awesome that's why they do it that's really I have a lot I have a lot of people who are like it's so hard to just eat it so fast because it's so good and I'm like well at least you're donating your money towards a good cause so but a lot of people do they'll save the second half they won't destroy it because some people will stand up like corn has a thing where in the beginning he'll eat it regularly but then certain people will stand up and they'll start eating the insides out first and then they'll eat the bread last you know so everyone everyone for the most part that's really trying to compete will have their own way of doing it so it's it's a it's a good time I'll tell you news is usually out here too people standing in the streets it's it's exciting cool well about wait a minute I forgot one other thing you also get a t-shirt with a $25 donation so we have our proud sponsors lios our roll company has been sponsoring it from the beginning same with DEET and Watson the co cut in order for me to be able to take that $25 registration free and put it right towards HF but also pza produce has been huge umh also GFS is also a big partner and then H laser Who does these shirts for me she does my shirts on a regular basis for hogies and hops and we actually um every year she donates these and every year I need more and more so she loves helping out the veterans and helping me out with this so it's great she hooks me up with these shirts so yeah so you get one of these twoo now the winner um will get one free 18inch hogy per month for an entire year or like what corn likes to do he'll sometimes instead of the 18 in maybe just get a large cheese steak and you know depending on how he's feeling um but you also get Pottery by You um which they have a couple locations one that's up near Michigan Road not too far from here they actually for the past this will their third year where they've made me a hogies and hops hog eting plate so the first place winner gets that and then I also have a friend who's a part of another priy company that's going to make me a second place uh plate that has my logo on it to give out that day too so it should be it'll be a lot of fun and you know people get together and eat a darn good sandwich and it is like I said the Italian hogi is my favorite you'll see out in Pennsylvania like there's other places that do hog eat and contest in PA Jake that plate would look great hanging up in your two-bedroom apartment where you live with your cat right over your shoulder if you could participate and win that look beautiful yes September 7th and then of course we got rock we have rocky right behind and uh just and just as a reminder um we always play Philly music of course during the contest and usually when you hear I of the tiger that means everyone sit down and get ready because we're going to start to start kicking off the the contest can't wait for it September 7th 2:30 42 Boulevard hog hogies and hops and chili water Tap Room Christina thanks for all your support of this show uh and continuing support and we can't wait to be out there for another beautiful Saturday afternoon to eat some delicious Sandos I love it thank you for having me I'm excited to be on your podcast this time at baile andwood we pride ourselves on our five-star customer service but at our core we're a family family owned and family to our customers staff and our community from charity events to recognizing Hometown Heroes we prioritize giving back to our communities that have always supported our growth so let us help you get your dream home [Music] [Applause] [Music] today wood Financial Group presents quaran Schultz is how how much fun is that going to be Network oh it's it's going to be amazing um I can't wait I know you're you're going right you went last year you're still eating your sandwich you're not not a contender for the eating contest but um Christina's just the coolest like she's just a cool chick for sure um and a wonderful businesswoman in the community she she she is how all local business people should be correct she has ingrained herself into Midtown into the neighborhood into Indianapolis she's not from here it it's kind of like me and we both love Midtown she's not from here and she doesn't even say mid we both mid we both love Midtown and um and that's just that's how it is she actually drives up from Franklin every day can you believe that that's where she she and her husband live in Franklin you know what she does not put it's a little bit of a hike to Midtown you know what she doesn't put in her ways Midtown no she does uh did you see Butler's building a new hotel with an old dorm yeah so it's midtown's first hotel we're really excited about it it's even being advertised as such axios the other news Les about it i' mentioned Midtown in it so nobody says Midtown it's too bad that you're wrong chatau kitchens everybody says them when it comes to home renovations chat kitchens.com at shat Kitchens on Instagram and Facebook we love chatau um really enjoying my basement for these hot days I just I just go down into the basement because it's like this little like cold cave and that and that's what I need it to be but it's comfy I've got my couch down there I've got my electric blankie um now chatau didn't give me couch in the electric blankie but they uh they finished the basement and they did a wonderful job doing so and they'll do anything on the interior of your home kitchens bathrooms basements uh whatever it is um chatau kitchens are your people to go to at chatau kitchens Instagram on Facebook see for yourself before and after pictures in chatau kitchens.com if you're new to buyer bble here's what we do I give a statement Jake and I go back and forth I have one for you too go ahead either we buy it or it's buep uh statement one neither Indiana nor Purdue will finish in last place in the Big 10 B buep problem is who takes that spot the it's a good League Northwestern I I guess I'd be lying to you if I said that I knew a ton of you know like Ruckers is supposed to be good aren't they this year supposed to be pretty good you know um one of those Pack 12 UCLA might yeah UCLA might stink that's that's a program that's never really done anything uh but I still buy it yeah I'm going to have faith bull bleep okay problem is that Purdue schedule is tough I I I don't think it'll be Indiana I I really I don't think Walter and I like that Purdue roster but but yeah I mean their schedule's really tough but you're talking Big 10 standings only right so it's it's just the Big 10 games okay how about this but I still think Indiana's Big 10 schedule is lighter than Purdue I have one for you you ready yeah b or bull Schultz you ready yeah the combined win total between Purdue and Indiana will be double digits uh I I'm going to go bull bleep on that cuz I think highend for Purdue would be five and highend for Indiana would be six and that's 11 I I think it's more lik you know but both teams could finish five and seven and I don't think that's outlandish but I'm still gonna say bull b because I I it stinks to say this I think Purdue could have a much better season and go 4 and eight go 4 and eight again just because the schedule is so tough you could win three big 10 games and go four and eight fair so I'm going to say bu what what about you you're you're going to go over right because you think A's bowling and I'm assuming you think Purdue is going to win four games I think Indiana wins six maybe even seven but I think Purdue's ceiling is three or four yeah based on schedule I just it if they were reversed if the schedules were reversed I agree yeah Purdue schedule's tough but if I think that like because I think they're pretty similar talent-wise um but if you think Indiana's going to win seven then I think you got to say I don't think puru is gonna go two and 10 I really I I think they're too good to go two and 10 even with that schedule um there are enough winnable games that are on there that I don't think you have to worry about it um last one berer BBL quer and Schultz will go another 200 episodes Derek I almost shut it down like 75 in right you're 56 so that would be five five four more years one week from to one week from today I'll be 52 she'd be 60 so we were or push in 60 how many shows had we done in October of 20 when did we start when you had your heart attack that was like episode 10 or something it was early so yeah it was almost Schultz and schults very early the odds of me surviving it to 200 again I mean another 200 yeah this this has Oasis written all over sometimes I think about because obviously you know we're best friends so as much as I would miss you um I think about that like what if things had taken a turn for the worst if you hadn't got in the car and gone and then I think about God that would have cost me a lot of money um see you but then again maybe it becomes my show and I pocket everything yeah so maybe that happens as well uh all seriousness thank you to the entire crew I know we bust his shops but Vince is awesome and and we love Jordan who's been here since day one of the show past and present guys I mean JD Arland like uh yeah rake's obviously been here from day one Greg Mash is a wonderful guy and was a great boss when I when I worked for ISC and Dereck I should thank Ms Communications in urban one for letting me do it yeah Purdue for letting me do it um as well you know we've we've we've had a lot of um understanding and flexible employers that have allowed this to happen real quick because the most importantly the people that listen to it and watch it are the reason that we're able to continue doing it and that that always reminds me and I think periodically it's important to tip the cap to those that unfortunately that we've gotten to know from this show that are no longer with us but we still think about all the time party man nick uh Nick Coleman who was just absolutely a legend Buckeye Mike yeah Buckey Mike who is one of our favorites you know there are a lotm from Keystone Sports Tommy Boy um from Keystone Sports review was just the best he bought you know he would bring you gifts yeah um so a lot of great people we've met and gotten to know you know and then there are those that were always so loyal from the very beginning of coming to the show is Kathy beatric who was you know as loyal as anybody to us so very much appreciate it for everybody I don't want to leave anybody out you know what I mean it's impossible I we you we have that core group but then we have you know thousands maybe even more than that across the globe um that have followed the show but we appreciate you glob for watching when we first signed up for this we had no idea how long it was going to go um but but here we are 200 episodes later six weeks and we're just thriving you know we're we're in our quarian Schultz era that's just just the best way to say it for Vince for Jordan for Greg for everybody else we're going to dig into this cake cake it's Coran CH I know that I'm way off timing wise guys sorry I don't even know where we're at now we'll see you next time Cory Jes [Music] at baileywood we pride ourselves on our
