yo what's good it's your boy big Steve and welcome to the Haz and blue where we smoke and talk Michigan football so let's get into it so Michigan defeats Fresno State 30 to 10 to earn that first victory of the season one and0 not the type of win that most Michigan fans was expecting but far as me it was the type of performance I was expected and I didn't feel too bad about you know it was a couple things real quick just to get into um that I felt taken from this game and is that is is Donovan Edwards rb1 far as it goes at Michigan I don't think he's a rb1 maybe another school but far as our system he's more of a a a weapon now um I think it's clear's day that Mullins is should be our feature back maybe we could um put Donovan at wide out a little more getting some catches but his style of running just don't fit that Michigan style of play uh 11 carries 27 yards no touchdowns did have the receiving touchdown for Alex orgy from Alex orgy but far as Russia performance similar to last year and I think as we should all know that he's not just that guy that Michigan style of football fits um so hopefully that Kurt Campbell and and um sherro Moore can figure out some type of way to get him involved where it's not looking like we just try to force the ball to him and ain't happening uh so quarterback we all know it turned out to be that um Davis War won the quarterback's competition and after yesterday performance and we kind of saw it in the spring game that the dude accuracy is on point you know uh I think it was a couple drops you know Coast Loveland had a third down drop where he put it right on the money pay no ly had a third down drop where he put it right on the numbers so you'll like to see more from the offense excuse you boy man I've been dealing with signings and but you like to see more from the offense far as receiving you know passing routs gos deeper passes but all right I'm back but it kind of put me in the same situation as 2021 with K marara you know so like I say Davis Warren didn't play a bad enough game to where I say he don't deserve to be qb1 but I don't think he did enough to where it's like now I feel like it's jayen Davis you know um I still give Davis War the Texas game but it's Jaden Davis it seemed like it's just is what we saw in you know the spring game and the style of receivers we have we I don't see Davis Warren extending plays a lot he just like M to where if he do a three-step drop he can put the ball where it needs to be but can he do enough when the play breaks down because it was like one or two balls he threw where you're G to get somebody hurt man you know he don't look like ready to extend plays at all if that ball if that route is not where he wants it at he's still throwing that ball so I think we gotta go ahead get ready for is is it jayen Davis time um you know far as defense goes defense looked even better than last year you know with the addition of uh what's my guy name Jon baram that dude's a monster he's look that that's every bit of 43 speed if he don't remind you a war a little bit I'm not going to get to his side it it's only week one but that dude is moving man Derek Moore they they defense did exactly what we thought they was gonna do they sh down a run made a one dimension you made they got some good throws in you know we got a couple bad breaks the TJ guy situation but defense looked even better I wasn't too worried about the secondary I like that we did a little more rotation to get you know we we we saw last year resume where deeper is better the deeper the death chart the better it is we had quinon Johnson come in last year make some plays you had you know now you got par he got beat but I like the fact that he's out there get your feet wet I remember that um will Johnson got bummed up his first game as a freshman so get your feet wet get it out the way week one overall performance I was very you know um pleased you know it's week one we don't got no preseason we don't got no scrimmages they went out there like I said they did what they had to do to win the game defense dominated you know dline Derek Moore is a beast ja stew is a monster offense colon lovelin is a Beast Mullins is a dog you know uh Davis Warren did did just enough to win the game but I think it's jayen Davis time so other than that go blue
