Nation we're going to talk about Dylan Harper now Dylan recently received one of the highest Awards nationally now in the state of New Jersey he's only the second player to ever receive this award and this is the national Player of the Year award now this is given to him by Max pre so for the 2023 2024 year he is that National player of the year the only other player to ever receive that award was Kyle Anderson when he played for St Anthony's in Jersey City um and those of you who follow K Anthony you know that he's going on and he's currently playing in the NBA so hopefully this is the same path that will lead Dylan that way so now right now he's committed to record so it's a great honor uh for Harper and for Ruckers now after got Don Basco prep um Bosco actually had its best season in program history and which is also a a defining Factor Why Harper has received this award um for the season he's averaged 22.3 Point points per game 5.7 rebounds 2.7 assists while leading BOS to a 23 and9 29 and3 record and the nonpublic a state championship now nationally the Iron Man finished number nine in max press's top not Max Prep sorry about that top 25 it's the highest ever final national ranking for the Don BOS program uh in the state championship you know that was the highlight for for Harper uh it was his only state championship that he's ever won um and you know it's something that you know he really feels great about uh don't forget he also earned Co MVP honors at the McDonald's allamerican game so um it it's something that shows his capability where he's playing with Talent from across the country national talent that will basically be in his class group no matter what so um coming out uh coming out right now into college he's actually regarded as the number four Prospect now there were times he was rated number one dropped to number two but right now um according to 247 Sports he's the number four Prospect um and he's probably not the number one in in the Ruckers class that'll probably go to Ace Bailey out of the 247 Sports ranking so now one of the things that he wants to do while coming to Ruckers is not only help continue to elevate the program but put it in position to compete and possibly win a National Championship and that's high honors you know for someone who wants to play at Ruckers but it's something that everyone in Ruckers nation has been dying for and definitely is hoping that will come to fruition so you know for him to stay home to see have his family around um the state of New Jersey be there to support him he saw what happened with his brother the type of support his brother received by staying home and working and developing himself to be one of Rucker's greatest basketball players um to ever put on the scarlet and white so um this is a great opport opportunity for Dylan Hopper you know his work is definitely paying off this is also a great opportunity for Ruckers in itself coach pel you know you're getting top talent so now you have to continue to bring them in develop them so when they move on they're going to be successful in the NBA and to be honest with you I think Pike is up for the challenge and he can do it you know don't forget he came from the Yukon Pro program you know he was there from the beginning and helped it grow into the national program that it is today so um but you know played under a great coach uh there at Yukon so he knows what it takes to play at the highest of level uh coach at the highest of level and develop young players at the highest of level so uh congratulations across the board especially to Dylan Harper for earning National Player of the Year award and looking forward to big things uh with the Scarlet Nation so well that's it for today I hope you guys
