hello welcome to Lemon St so we talk anything and everything entertainment I'm of course lemon himself Zeke lemon and this is my review for episodes 1 through three of season two of Lord of the Rings rings of power but before we get into that let's get the house C out of the way sorry I'm to leave a like comment below let me know your thoughts on rings of power and of course hit that subscribe Button as it helps me grow into my YouTube career I would greatly appreciate it now all out of the way let's get into the review shall we so rings of power I remember season 1 um I don't remember a lot about season one but I do remember the audience reception of it and it was a mixed bag there was a lot of people who loved it there was a lot of people who hate it most people though um and I was one of them it was kind of like e you know like out of all the Lord of the Ring stuff that we've gotten on media I will probably say it's three I mean I'm pretty sure we all agree Lord of the Rings is at the top and then you know The Hobbit and then there's rings of power and rings of power has its moments there are some good things and there were some bad things within it so going into this you know I was cauly optimistic I would say because the trailer for season 2 looked really really good um and guys I'm not a fan of when they drop three episodes at one time it's it's just not for me necessarily especially with a show like this that was such a mixed bag they it just kind of I was like dreading to watch three hours of it if it was just one episode then you know it is what it is and now I will say every episode goes on way too long especially the first episod episode I think it was like 15 minutes too long for me personally I think it could have been the perfect right at an hour episode 2 and three two I think was the best of the three um I think we could have shed shed it off maybe five minutes and the third episode I think was probably like the most perfect one but still probably could have show uh shaved off about five minutes of it and you know you're like Zeke five minutes really you're going you're going to complain about that well yeah I I am because there was a couple times uh during the of episode two I was like oh my God we're still going episode 3 I only said I was like oh my God we're still going um so yes every episode I do think goes on a little too long however I do think the show Runners took notes from the complaints that the uh audience had not and not the bad ones right the the criticisms from good fans like who mean well they're not just hating to hate and I do think applied it to this and even though I do think every episode went on too long I do think you need all three episodes to really fully invest uh because I remember after watching episode one I better remember because I just watched them after watching episode one I was like okay this is about what I expect it is significantly better uh than what I've seen from season 1 or what I remember from season 1 I liked how we follow Sauron I like the animosity between aod and and gadri and this whole story line with the Rings that's being presented I'm really looking forward to it crap I have two more episodes to watch and you know that's not something you want to you you want necessarily after you watch an episode one of what is going to be a binge right watch episode two I'm like okay I like the whole concept of the Rings the again the debate between uh Elrod and gadal L seeing the dwarves again I like the uh again the the Collision between Father and Son love uh again I I love I love the dwares in in season one and um Tyrion uh I I believe that was his name and Elrod's uh friendship was my favorite out of the whole entire show and I can't wait for them to get to uh rekindle but just seeing the dwarves was really really cool and again I like the whole father son thing has some good laughs and I love I love his wife too he she is absolutely phenomenal again very very strong episode I was even liking what was happening with the harputs and um and gandol I'm still assuming it's Gandalf it it would be a Twist and a half if it turned out to be uh I don't remember who Gand Do's uh rival was but be a Twist and a half if it was him um but yeah I even like what they were doing with them and you know the people who were following and that whole aspect within the desert and like okay we got to the well he's passed out oh here come the acolytes and they're trying to take down um gandal loved all that again I think episode two is the best out of the three episode three I do not remember the story lines very well once I saw the characters I was like oh yeah I do remember these guys but I don't really fully remember the whole Dynamics and all that so it was a little bit of a catch up really was intrigued by the power Archy of Kingdom and you know who's going to take the throne why don't they trust her um all these different things and you know making a play it's the most Game of Thrones out of all of Lord of the Rings I was really really intrigued by it I also like you know seeing the cool elf again and seeing how he's dealing with this kid who just lost his mom and wants nothing to do with him now even though he was following him very well in season 1 and how the son of the Night from from The Game of Thrones story line if you will is now with these bunch some Misfits and you know seeing how that storyline plays out again every storyline is very intrigued and I also think it was very very smart of the show to not have every storyline in episode one because again I do think it was dragging a little bit but focusing on just the three story lines that they had really did a steak potatoes and green beans type h setting for episode one and then again they did it with episode two all right we're going to take this out here I'm going to add the dwarves here um again loved all the things that they were really intriguing I do kind of wish this was season 1 though I do think there would have been much more excitement of it but having the foundation of season 1 coming back doing this now we know who saon is I liked how we got to get to know him a little bit uh the prologue was really cool I would have liked a little bit more you know of a difficult time with him when he was like with the old guy that was dying cuz he just switched on him really really quickly I guess it makes sense because he saw him but you know it seemed like he was really connecting with him I just would liked a little bit of a struggle from him but I did like that whole prologue I like how we're starting to get to know sa a little bit more and now it's not about who sa is it's like all right sa what's her plan especially now that he is making the Rings and it does look like aad is right I don't really fully remember Lord of the Rings that well I always watch him around November time I don't know why that's just my thing and it's about that point now where I don't remember what happens in the original trilogy but November's coming pretty soon so I'll be caught up uh by them but yeah overall I think this was a great start again I do think it's necessary to have all three episodes to start off because I literally went from crap I have two more episodes to watch I'm like okay that was good let's see what episode three has after three I was very fulfilled I was like okay I am anticipating next week I am looking forward to next Thursday and that is should be the goal until the finale where you're like okay I'm I'm ready to wait uh two years or or I can't wait to uh uh I can't wait for two years to get to the next season I should say but right now your planner should be all right I'm ready for next week bring it on I am fully compelled to that I can wait a week after watching these three episodes I'm not like chopping at the bit of it but I am looking forward to it but let me know what y'all think down in the comment session of uh rings of power of season 2 did you like it did you not do you think it was a bit of the same I really do think they stepped up and that they did take some notes from the healthy criticisms of season 1 and they are applying it and you can see there is a big change and I do think this season is already to a much better start than season 1 was um yeah leave a comment below leave
