Well, I already knew the way. I have been around here a couple of times. With Jong Oranje, which was close so I know the way. I think when you are called up for your country you can be very proud. And I'm very grateful to be here. I was sitting on the couch and then I got a phonecall from a Dutch number. And Micky and I are very close, so I already heard he was slightly injured. He told me. So then I got a call. So I thought who could it be? And then I got the message that I was getting called up. It's a dream for me and also for my family. So everybody was really happy with that. Yeah proud, proud. And happy, of course. - How does it feel to be back here? Completely fit again? Yes I'm fit! Worked hard for it so it's always nice to be back. I missed the boys of course. I followed them closely. But very happy to be back. - Can you take us back to last Friday, when the squad was announced. How did it go when both of your names were on the list? Yeah, I was at the training complex, but I received some messages. In our Whatsapp group with friends and family. Of course, a very happy feeling. Yes, the same for me actually. I was also training. I came in and I had received a lot of messages from everyone. So yeah, proud. - Is that a moment to immediately get in touch with each other? No, no. No, that's not how we are. We saw each other the next day. Yes, on Sunday. Yes. So that was okay. And of course it's a moment that they have been waiting for, and yeah it's also like a dream come true. Especially for my mother. And my brothers. Our brothers. - One of your teammates is Bart Verbruggen. What has he told you about this summer in Germany? A lot of course and I followed him closely. I think it was fantastic. He actually became a good friend of mine in the last couple of years and now especially at Brighton. So yeah, I talk to him a lot about everything and also about Oranje, and he is nothing but positive about how things are going here, so I'm excited. - You have seen the footage of Oranje fans, how did that made you feel? Yes, very beautiful of course. Then you are just watching as a fan of the national team, hoping that they will get far. Being happy when they go through or score and win. Then you are happy like every other fan. And yeah, now I'm here myself. So that is very special. Playing together that would be beautiful.
