father we thank you so much for another opportunity for us to come together dear heavenly father I'm Dr Eric Wallace I'm the president co-founder Freedom Journal Institute for the study of faith in public policy any Cubs fans here obviously you all know who Todd riget is right so I guess one of the questions is what made you decide to get involved with you know black conservatives really got involved like living in Chicago obviously you realize you know Democrats have been in charge of this city for a hundred years why do people keep voting for this same thing expecting a different outcome man we have people come from across the country that come here because they want to be with other conservatives now for the man you've been waiting for the man of the hour Senator Tim Scott let me just say this if there is racism in in the country and there is some some of the most stubborn persistent racism I've seen when I was running for president was on the southside of Chicago where poor black kids are trapped in failing schools and not allowed to go as School in their own City in their own City that's racist and since 1927 this city has been controlled by democrats so when I hear about racism in America I can't think of anything more racist than trapping poor black kids in poor failing underserved schools and then on top of that you don't keep the kids safe if you're going to make a choice at least let it be a about what is in your best interest I'm not a republican because it's cool I'm a conservative because it's right amen thank you I want to thank them for coming out for taking the time we're just ending our sixth annual black conservative Summit it's been excellent inspiring people are leaving here saying let's do this again let's do this next year so you know the planning begins we thank you for all you you do we thank you for make allowing us to make it here safely in Christ Jesus name we pray amen
