Should the Kings buy out Pierre-Luc Dubois?

uh this is a big problem guys but there's multiple ways to to look at this problem here Pierre Luke deis recorded one point in the King series with the Oilers sure it only took five games but we're not even going to ask if this is a problem because I think we all agree it is a problem the question really is how do you address this problem boiler you brought up a great Point earlier asking about his age well guess what he turns 26 June 24th which puts the clock in just under 60 days for the Kings to make a very tough call if they potentially want to get outy could be a bad contract wow you're saying easy call well I just need to know when the buyout windows are though so if he if he falls in that criteria and he can be bought out as under 27 under 26 year old sorry here it is June 15th or 48 hours after the final Stanley Cup game whichever is later but either way they'll have an opportunity before his June 24th birthday if they definitely will have an opportunity then that you absolutely I think both sides need it you absolutely have to this is this a problem uh yes it's a problem he only recorded one point it's a problem that you know that this was a Stanley Cup or bust roster that I I do love that roster and with Pier Luke de playing like we've seen him capable of playing at different times in his career that should be a team that makes noise this isn't working out it's not working out for for him it's not working out for the team I think he needs to get bought out I think it needs a clean slate for both sides and quite frankly I'll throw another guy in there too Kevin FAL has got to be tickled pink that he's got Peter Luke deis on his team because his contract stinks too and what he's done you know what I mean and so like here's the thing like this organization's gone out they've built they've got all these Place piece you know people in place and I think you know there's going to have to be some ownership of giving these deals out but I do like that build of this team but you got a couple nasty contracts uh I think that like you said be I think that's the way out for them I think Kevin F when motivated can be a real big game breaker the problem is it's it comes and goes and you know I saw it a little bit when he was a younger player in Nashville and I you saw him be very good player in Minnesota and he's shown he's shown signs of it in the regular season this year was good Pier L ball wasn't great this year at all and not for what they're paying it's is is you know it's another stop on this journey of his hopefully he can figure it out cuz I think he's he's an exceptional talent that could be an absolute force in the leag M he just hasn't I mean he's already gotten paid maybe this is a wakeup call for him if they do it if they go down this road I I would I said it earlier you you'd agreed with me and just because if you know if he's after 26 years old it's the two-thirds it's a bigger hit oh dead money this is oneir over the double the years right so for million 3 million cap hit not every year though though no only on some of the bonuses and then it goes down into the low ones I believe so the way it's structured you can swallow that it's a mistake CH it up to a mistake didn't work out there was a obviously a coaching change I just think it's I mean that you you need to free up that space and go elsewhere I mean you remember what they gave up to get him and that's where it is a bitter pill to swallow right it's like man we really thought this would work valard was fantastic got hurt a little bit but those are good hockey players you thought wow they gave to get but this is a great player the ceiling on pier Luke deis is very high unfortunately he didn't come close to it this year yeah I mean it's you buy him out or you stomach the fact that you have seven more years at8 and a half million C and hold on and no move Clause if he plays to his capabilities he's worth every penny of that contract the problem is we haven't seen that enough I saw it in the 2019 playoffs and I haven't really seen it years I think yeah I think he had a I think he had a 30 goal season in Winnipeg um you know that that was I'm pretty sure a contract year you know is that one you know like I just there's a there's a lot of more want here I think with this guy
