[Music] Miami Dolphin star Tyreek hilled briefly detained by police Miami Florida the shocking incident unfolded before the kickoff of the Miami Dolphin season opener as star wide receiver Tyreek Hill was detained by police following a traffic stop the incident captured on video and shared widely on social media has sparked outrage in questions about the treatment of the NF player the video footage showed H being handcuffed and placed on the ground near Hard Rock stadium the home of the Dolphins his agent Drew rosenhouse later confirmed that Hill had been detained for traffic violation but described the handling of the situation as unnecessary in a statement released on social media the Miami Dolphins acknowledged the incident stating Tyreek Hill was pulled over for a traffic incident and briefly detained by police he has since been released several teammates saw the incident and stopped to offer support the team also announced an immediate review of the incident and the availability of body camera footage rosenhouse speaking to NFL Network expressed his frustration and disappointment with the way heill was treated it's very upsetting to see my client in handcuffs he said adding that there was no justification for the level of force used despite the incident Hill was able to participate in the Dolphins game as the investigation into the incident continues questions remain about the circumstances surrounding the traffic stop and the subsequent police action the incident has highlighted broader concerns about the treatment of athletes by law enforcement and the potential for racial bias in such encounters rosenhouse revealed that Dolphins head of security Drew Brooks along with teammates C Campbell and jonno Smith were there to support Hill after his incident with police speaking to the NFL Network's Game Day Live program rosenhouse added it's very upsetting as tyre's agent to see the way that he was treated Tyreek is okay he's very upset but he's okay he'll Focus he'll do what he has to do today Tyreek said he was just pulling into the stadium and it's a legal situation so I'm not going to get into a lot of the details but he felt like things got way out of hand we'll be talking to his legal representation and there will be an investigation this shouldn't happen to a player entering his home stadium it's just absurd I'm sorry for Tyreek and while not pointing fingers something obviously happened that shouldn't have relative to the police officers on the scene thank you for watching for more upto-date sports news subscribe and click on the Bell notification [Music]
