[Music] hey everyone and greetings once again from Radio Wasteland records it's time for our weekly check into some of the new releases headed to an independent record store near you as always just the highlights as all we're going to cover but if you'd like to see that full list you can head over to our website at radio wasand records.com from there just look for the upcoming releases link click on that you'll see a PDF that has everything coming out for this upcoming week but as we mentioned let's hit some of these highlights and there's a lot of new stuff coming out this week but here's what can be expected for Friday the 20th of September 2024 kicking off the new release front we've got a couple of versions of ktie Perry's new album 143 or 143 I guess however you'd like to say that our description says that Katie set out to create a bold exuberant and celebratory dance pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a through line me message had to look that one up I'll let you do that on your own but 143 is apparently a very important number to Katie Perry so 143 the new album from Katy Perry is coming on silver colored vinyl that one listing for about $33 and then there is an indie exclusive on clear blue vinyl that one listing for $33 so you do have your choice of colors on that I did not see a black vinyl version for any cheaper so your choices are basically the silver or the Indian exclusive blue new stuff also from Nelly Fado this one is called seven this is a limited edition silver colored vinyl pressing from the Grammy award-winning Global Superstar Nelly Fado her most inspired and Personal Collection to date seven is the culmination of four years of artistic rediscovery for Nelly Fado so here we've got 143 and now seven I guess this is the week for number albums apparently uh as we mentioned a silver colored vinyl for the new one from Nelly Fado that one listing for about $36 and then there is an indie exclusive on clear colored vinyl that one also listing for $36 so if you're looking for that one make sure you let your record store know which color you're looking for here's a fun one also brand new from The B-52s not the B-52s I said The B-52s Kate Pearson one of the singers it's called radios and rainbows our description says that this being Kate Pearson's second solo album includes a writing and performance collaboration with pop star CA on the song every day is Halloween Kate of course is an American singer Lyricist as we mentioned and founding member of the b52s she is also collaborated with many other artists over the years including the Ramon Ziggy pop and RM so here we are back on this solo one for Kate Pearson it's called radios and rainbows looks to be a black vinyl only listing for about $25 next up is something brand new from bright eyes it's called five dice all threes and our description holy C how the description goes on for about 18 paragraphs by the looks of this so I'm just going to read you the the lead in line it says five dice all threes is a record of uncommon intensity and tenderness communal exorcism and personal excavation five dice all threes on black vinyl this one coming in at a suggested list price of $33 and then there is a colored vinyl variant of this not sure it's an indie exclusive but it's on red orange vinyl red and orange vinyl it's a double LP I'm assuming that means one of each that colored vinyl version listing for $36 as well here's something new from the fuzz club and this is nagon infinity live from king gizard and the lizard wizard I'm trying to tell if this is new I think that this is a new pressing or at least newish variation of this 2024 release from King gizzard uh this is the official bootleg series arriving in the shape of a nagon Infinity colored vinyl holy smokes double LP from King gizard and the lizard wizard of this nagon Infinity live and this is a compilation of recordings captured at various performances including the bonaroo festival in 22 uh let's see Brussels in 2019 Red Rocks in 2022 and Chicago from 2023 all of the tracks have been mixed by gizzards own Stu McKenzie and remastered exclusively for the fuzz club uh bootleg version so this is limited to just 999 copies arriving on a gold nugget colored nagon shaped vinyl so a shaped vinyl very cool looking uh this one from king gizard and the lizard wizard coming in at a suggested list price of $40 switching over to the countryside of things for the 20th of September we've got something new from Kenny Wayne Shepard it's a continuation of dirt on my diamonds this is volume two and it's coming on blue colored vinyl our description says that this is the highly anticipated follow-up to Shepherd's 2023 album volume two Builds on Shephard's legendary repertoire so dirt on my diamonds Volume 2 on blue colored vinyl looks to be a single LP list price on that is $30 also something new on the countryside from Keith Urban and this is called hi this brand new collection of 11 songs includes go home with you or W with uh Laney Wilson Chuck Taylor and the hit single messed up as me it showcases Urban's extraordinary talents as a vocalist a virtuoso guitarist songwriter and collaborator brand new as we said from Keith Urban called high on black vinyl single LP list price on that is $30 and another surprise from The Voice from the past this is called daylight savings time from Steve forbert yep Steve forbert that very same one Jack Rabbit slim the description says that as forbert approaches his Milestone 70th birthday daylight savings time contemplates and celebrates the proverbial extra hour of daylight that comes with the time change so uh this is a an interesting one I'm going to have to give this a listen because I've always enjoyed for BT's older stuff but daylight savings time coming on clear green vinyl from Steve forbert this one listing for about $25 some really cool titles on the reissue front as well for September 20th kicking it off with another reissue in the line of fish reissues this next one they' finally gotten around to is hoist and it's coming on laser beams vinyl this is kind of a greenish colored vinyl I believe not much info on this uh but I believe that this was pressed earlier this could be a repressing but hoist originally by the way released um in 1994 so again this is called a laser beams colored vinyl variant of hoist from fish this one listing for about $39 up next on the reissues a trio from well these guys were from my college Radio Days in the 80s the Butthole Surfers we're getting reissues of cream corn from the socket of Davis I believe that was 86 or so and I believe that that was an EP a full one the list price on that is $20 full album reissue of locust abortion technician from the Butthole Surfers this one coming in at $29 and then Hairway to Steven I believe that was 1987 or so uh this one coming in also at a list price of $29 so again three from the beh hole Surfers for your weirdness factor for this particular week here's a reissue of the Dandy Warhols and the Dandy Warhols come down the description says Di into the mesmerizing world of the Dandy Warhols classic album The Dandy Warhols come down reissued on vibrant yellow vinyl double LP list price on this one a little bit Hefty but again double LP on that yellow vinyl The Dandy Warhols come down coming in at a suggested list price of $45 a very recent release getting a variant repressing after the fact this is the rise and fall of a Midwest princess an anniversary edition from Chapel rone anniversary this is got to be their two weekends iversary 3 week one month I don't know the particular variant this time around is called Kink is coral or my Kink is coral vinyl which is essentially peach colored vinyl what makes this a little bit different is it has a diecut cover so yeah limited double LP pressing on that peach colored vinyl housed in a gatefold jacket with an embossed diecut oard cover oh and myar glitter star inserts plural My guess is that those are a little tiny diecut uh glitter stars that will get everywhere when you open them up okay rise and fall of mid of a Midwest princess uh from Chapel Rowan this variant repressing Hefty price tag for all that goodness uh I guess you got to pay for the glitter nowadays $60 the suggested list price on that one some live stuff to wrap us up for the week here is Mirage tour 1982 from Fleetwood Mac this is a trip triple LP pressing on black vinyl and it features live recordings from Fleetwood Max Mirage tour captured at The Forum in Los Angeles in October of 1982 includes the classic Mirage tracks like Gypsy hold me eyes of the world along with six previously unreleased tracks including don't stop dreams oh well Landslide never going back again and Sarah so looks like they expanded this one out again triple LP pressing Fleetwood Mac Mirage tour 82 suggested list price on that is $60 another triple live LP repressing this is bursting out from Jethro tall but here's the catch it is a Steven Wilson remix he's been working on a lot of those tall albums with the remixing and doing some fantastic work so bursting out live the Steven Wilson remix sees this album reordered back to its original running order and includes three tracks that were not included on the original version of this includes uh heavy horses and living in the past those by the way were not included in the 78 version of this because of time constraints uh but again trip LP remixed by Steven Wilson bursting out from Jeth rall $60 the suggested list price on that triple vinyl LP black vinyl seems to be the going rate and finally we've got a 4 LP set from the Grateful Dead this is Duke 78 Duke 78 features the previously unreleased complete show from the Cameron Indoor Stadium at Duke University in Durham North Carol car Olina from April of 1978 four LPS on black vinyl looks to have a booklet insert Duke 78 from the Grateful Dead this one listing for about $100 and that will do it for the highlights of the new releases coming out on September 20th of 2024 if you're local to the radio Wasteland
