I've got a ton of Bears news for you guys today some really exciting and unexpected and some not so much when it comes to the injury report the Bears defense is getting the national recognition that it deserves and it's being proven on paper by being a young fast and can change the game defense and our offense which obviously didn't have the ideal showing this up last week against the Tennessee Titans might be a little bit even more short-handed this upcoming weekend against the Houston Texans but nothing to panic about yet and I'm going to break that all down hello everyone welcome back to line in football at the moment why they actually took down one of the better offensive lines in football and the Tennessee Titans and also again the latest injury status news for the Chicago Bears now positive Bears Channel you can find so yes let's start things off with our defensive line which the Bears are the number one pass rush defensive line in the NFL after week one they got a win rate of 71% as a unit which literally means they were destroying the absolute backfield and getting massive pressure on the Titans all game long which again the Titans had a top 12 offensive line back in 2023 and they improved over this past off season so that is insanely impressive from a unit a lot of people worried about from a in Talent perspective besides Montes sweat the leader of the defensive line speaking of Montes sweat for sure is a force to be reckoned with but there are guys who really stood out at both the edge and defensive tackle position this past weekend that is something to be excited about and is only going to get better over time to start with the defensive tackle position where folks had a lot of concerns we had three guys in the top 10 defensive tackles for the weekend in the NFL three of them just three of them on our roster alone out of the top 10 Demarcus Walker yes dwok who was injured on at the end of the game which I'll get into in a little bit was ranked the number one defensive tackle in the NFL this past weekend six wins on 10 plays of the opportunity was double team 62% of the time the entire game and dude was absolutely versatile and super important having two tackles and four quarterback pressures in the game from the defensive tackle position dwok is already having a major impact what we needed last year he's bringing it this year and I am so pumped for him and I'm really hoping this injury is nothing to worry about which I don't think it is then you have Andrew Billings a guy that we extended last year due to his awesome play and dvon Dexter senior our seconde guy out of Florida coming in at seven and eight starting with Andrew Billings he was four wins on 17 plays of opportunity and he was double teamed 73% of the time too he did all of this with two tackles B Beam for loss then you go to dvon Dexter senior also four wins on 17 opportunities with a 45% double team rate with four tackles two be for loss in one quarterback sack the defensive tackle absolutely cooked all three of them that played this past Sunday Chris Williams was in there too didn't get a lot of playing time though and we should feel really good about where this defensive line stands at least from a pass rush perspective run for sure there is definitely Improvement there but still wasn't terrible going over to the edge position though it wasn't Montes SWAT or Austin Booker who ranked high in the NFL but we had the number two Edge in the NFL this past weekend and that was newly acquired Edge derell Taylor yes the guy we got for a six round pick from the Seattle Seahawks was the number two Edge in the NFL this past weekend seven wins in uh on 15 plays of opportunity to win with a 47% overall win rate 5% double team rate rate from an edge perspective that's pretty darn high and finished a game with eight total tackles seven being solo two sacks and one force fumble honestly he would have won defensive NFC defensive player of the weekend or of the week if it wasn't for Tyreek Stevenson shout out to him for winning but insanely impressive I mean montz SW got two quarterback pressures this past weekend Austin Booker got one the defensive Edge and defensive tackle position not an area of worry for the Chicago Bears team are defensive line bald out we're absolutely going to need that this upcoming weekend against the Houston Texans and why I'm so passionate about this guys it's the fact that our second stringers are making that much of an issue our rotation guys are making that much of an issue that is going to open opportunities for Montes SW Austin Booker termine Edmonds and TJ Edwards on Blitz it's gonna make this defensive line even scarier so polls did a fantastic job assembling this and I'm really liking how we started off the this team just needs to continue to do it but holy C can you I don't know if anyone knew that we did that well I mean we know we did good but I didn't know we did that well so this upcoming Sunday night against the Houston Texans now let's go into what I don't want to hit on but we unfortunately have to talk about the Chicago Bears injury report so starting off with the first name you don't love to see it Kenan Allen is dealing with that heel injury still we saw him limping at the end of this past Sunday's game against the Titans he did not practice on Wednesday then Karan amaji who was full practice on Friday he's still doing with that quad injury was limited today and then Ryan Bates who has had a shoulder injury was limited as well we definitely might need him this upcoming Sunday against the Houston Texans as Nate Davis was in and out of the field but good to see Davis is not on this list karee blast game dealing with a hand and knee injury was limited as well Roma dun with that grade one sprain knee sprain which honestly guys best case scenario did not practice don't expect him to play this upcoming Saturday or Sunday Zack Pickins dealing with that grin injury was back at practice after being out the last two and then Demarcus Walker dealing with a foot injury which has been known over the last couple of weeks did not practice today so honestly a few that I want to hit on here starting with Demarcus Walker because he is very important to this defensive line we really need to get pressure on CJ stad and there's no deny about that he Walker sounds playable though he literally walked off the field and was celebrating with fans this past Sunday he's been battling this injury was still able to play through it I think that it's just something that's lingering and they wanted to let him heal up he definitely was working with trainers today so I'm not too worried about this one Rome we know what it is grade one knees frame we are so lucky it's not that serious as serious as it could have be but I highly doubt he plays this upcoming Sunday and if he even thinks he can I don't want him to I'd rather him sit the next game or two and be 100% for the rest of the games this year versus being 75% for the rest of the games this year we need him to be 100% we need him to have a solid start to his career because it's mentally physically getting used to the game I want to see him on the bench this upcoming week and I know that's tough because obviously we want to win this game and with the next in dream about to go through again I'd rather him be 100% for more games than none going to Keenan though that's the big one it worries me a bit because DJ Moore is going to be on an island by himself and because you don't have Roman dun this weekend I'm putting it out there right now DJ MO is tough as Nails he's dealing with his own injuries as well but Allen is so important to kale Williams obviously we saw him get targeted nine times as past weekend almost had a touchdown grab I would like to be him see him go 100% but unfortunately he is a veteran he can make his own call and if you sit both you know Roma dun and Keenan Allen your wide receiver room right now is DJ Moore Tyler Scott DeAndre Carter and veis Jones Jr and not gonna lie I don't want veis Jones Jr anywhere near catching a football or potentially creating a fumble so it's a tough room right now you could call up Colin Johnson I guess but something to definitely monitor over the next couple of days here I really hope Kean Allen's okay so wishing him a speedy and healthy recovery quickly so here's a question for everyone as of right now Thursday how are you guys feeling to entering Houston you know their their list injury list is starting to get a little bit long their tight end just got a point out on top of it too like they did only win by two points against the Colts Colts aren't a terrible team but the Titans aren't a terrible team either and as much as people are denying that the Titans are a bad team I don't think so because walking into the game people thought the Bears were going to lose to the Titans because they are a good team so make up your mind the narrative is that the Titans are a good team at least on paper on top of it too the Indianapolis Colts they're pretty good but they're not Stellar I don't think they're crazy much better than the Titans I'm feeling good about this Houston Texans game guys it's Night Football Caleb Williams knows he has to have a big game after this past week everyone wants to win the Bears going 2 and 0 would change how the NFL views this team this team's going to go hard Matt Abus is definitely prepared for this upcoming weekend and it's Prime Time football we'll have a lot of fun watching it and I think that this team I am putting Positive Vibes only out there that this is gonna be a good game for the Chicago Bears and I want to hear what you guys are
