week two is in the books time for the top 25 that actually makes sense based on the results on the field how about that we have done our best to rid ourselves of all pre-season perception projections prognostications the brand bias all of that out the window as best as we can of course there has to be a foundation for the evaluation of these teams otherwise we can't do rankings so there has to be some level of evaluation coming into the season meaning let's look at 2023 let's take uh the teams and their quality level and then let's add in the Personnel additions and losses to have an evaluation of the teams then let's take that and really lean on the results the results drive this ranking more than than anything so it's not necessarily a situation where okay Ohio State's loaded with Talent we know they're going to be good we know that they're going to go to the kge football playoff therefore they need to be ranked in the top three or four in the country and then we're going to watch them play out the season and when they finally get to some difficult games and show us that they are that good well we'll let that uh play out at the time but here we are we have yet to see that we're going to rank Ohio State based on what we expect no th this is not an expectation ranking this is based on Strictly the results through two weeks this season so number one what are the results are they wins or losses well we credit the wins more so than the losses of course unless the losses are impressive against quality teams okay number two it's all about the opponents what is your schedule who did you play play and then number three the level of domination so uh Team a beats team C by 50 points that is credited uh more so than Team B beat Team C by two points it's the same win you beat the same team however there is a display of dominance or lack thereof and the same thing with losses and of course as we proceed through the season we're going to see more teams in the top 25 obviously that are going to have losses but we're only two weeks into the season therefore we only have one team with a loss and we have them ranked for good reason the top 25 that actually makes sense again clear your mind of biases just based on the results on the field here we go at number 25 North Carolina at 24 Duke 23 is Kansas state Oklahoma State's at 22 Syracuse at 21 top 20 includes Arizona State LSU Oklahoma at 8 18 Vanderbilt at 17 Cal at 16 top 15 in the country includes South Carolina UNLV Washington state Alabama and Illinois in the top 10 Northern Illinois at number nine Iowa State eight is Penn State seven is Boston College at number six Miami top five looks like this Nebraska USC at number four Georgia three Tennessee at number two and the number one team in all of college football the Longhorns of Texas hook them appreciate you stopping by for the top 25 that actually makes sense please leave those comments and questions down below and we will get to them right here at the voice of college football
