my first memory of running I think has to go back to school like I definitely remember being the kid running around the playground running around like any spores or any opportunity I got to be running I loved it my first time on a track was the first day that I joined he Shamrock and I went up to the track at Elsa for my first training session with the gang and I remember being like Oh my God this is so exciting I think the one that I remember being like the most special was my first lanster medal that like as I was a kid we'd done lots of like the dubins and I'd won lots of Dublin medals but I remember that felt to me like a really big special thing too lazy for anything longer but I definitely noticed that I had a real talent for the the shorter distances um and I definitely preferred them [Applause] [Music] it means everything honestly you know I think it's something that comes around every four years and this occasion three years um and it's it's that biggest opportunity it's the highest point of your career and to represent your country and and put on the green vest brings immense Pride growing up it was definitely der work she was someone that I looked up to hugely and she's one of the best in the world and then as I got a little bit older and say as my iyle started to deteriorate and I clicked into the par Olympic movement then it was definitely Jason Smith for me seeing him as someone in my position someone with the visual impairments still achieving at the highest level of sports the fastest man in Ireland at the time and you know he was gold medal after gold medal so for me that was another huge inspiration I think I definitely would have looked at Shel an FR price yeah she was definitely my favorite athlete to watch on the TV I love to see her come out and you know smoke everybody would also look good doing it the nails it's an addiction they actually started funny enough before I went to Tokyo I wasn't really mad for getting the nails done but I got kind of a set that has Irish Fullers and I came home and then I was going on a holiday so I said oh okay I'll just do them again I'll get something colorful for my holiday and then it just snowballed and here we are 3 years later I'm already planning the Irish set night for the end of the summer [Applause]
