the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC AC course Detroit AC Course San Francisco of course Green Bay not surprised by but he also has the Los Angeles Rams as a team above when it comes to Dallas Cowboys and one more team Harry DS what the other team you had the 15 that you Hadas Philadelphia eag Philadelphia Eagles Mike what are your thoughts about Harry dougas top five teams not including the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC you know Freddy the threshold question was was this L list made by Harry when he was having guinnesses in Ireland so first of all I want to know about his sobriety of when this list was actually created and on what what continent were you on Harry shots fired your response uh definitely in Europe um how many 100% so so honestly I only had one and a half Mike I am not a Beer Drinker Yeah by a long shot it it was a struggle to get that one and a half get us get us and a half down trust me it was a major struggle yeah no look now Jameson on the other hand that that went down very easily yeah yo looks like you guys had a great time um as it relates to the list you know the one question mark to me would be the Rams guys uh look Matt Stafford's getting older um I I don't know if he'll be able to last 17 games Jimmy Garoppolo suspended you know they're literally one hit away from STS and Bennett having a play that's a big question mark obviously the The Legend in Aaron Di has retired they've hit on a number of their picks to their credit um but to think they're a top five team in the NFC I think that's a heavy lift for me I I think they may struggled to even be second in their division obviously I think we would all agree it's San Francisco and I think Seattle's coming I really like Mike McDonald I think Gino Smith is somewhat underrated so well I think sha mcy is a really good coach and they've had a good run I don't think they're top five see I would say this I was oneof see according to Mike T I was just oneof Freddy wow see Freddy Freddy didn't want me to put the Philadelphia Eagles on that list W that's your response you just one off That's resp Mike wow we can't be right all the time but majority of the time that's all that matter anyway speaking of the Philadelphia Eagles Mike how do they fix that divide that seems to have happened that is carried over involving their quarterback Jaylen Herz and the head coach Nick serani you know Freddy I'm encouraged for a number of reasons first of all I think when some of the noise came out listening to coach serani this summer it sound like he was somebody that had a growth mindset and just didn't sit up there and say like no I'm right and there are no problems here obviously they may change at the coordinator position presumably Kell MO is going to call the plays I've been around some of the greatest coaches in the history of our sport work for Coach Parcels work for Coach belich sometimes like those meetings in the building are hard coach to coach coach to player coach to front office um it's a demanding sport a lot of pressure obviously this is a team that's gone to the playoffs they've been to the Super Bowl so they've had a lot of success and I think fundamentally what I'm most interested in seeing is saquan Barkley because over the last three years no quarterback has run the ball more than me than Jaylen Herz and to me when you watch them play guys Jaylen Herz hers looked like a skill diminished player towards the end of last season I think he took a lot of hits I think what saquin Barkley can do not only uh running the ball but catching it will make a big difference to this offense so I want to go up to the Chicago Bears who had the number one overall pick they decide to take Caleb Williams but I want to spend this to their head coach Matt eao do you believe he's a good coach and the right coach for the Chicago Bears yeah I do because I think you need somebody that could sort of be like levelheaded steady as they go defense coach and I think look I was around Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez we had a lot of success in the former of years of Mark's career and I think through the lens of a defensive head coach they'll be talking about things like hey Caleb let's make first downs not touchdowns let's protect ourselves you know we're not going to score 40 points in the first quarter um you look at this team last year they got better Harry and I think when you're evaluating coaches one of the things you want to look at is this team getting better or worse so I think he richly deserved another year and this is a really intriguing team to me if they were in another Division I think we'd be talking about a playoff team right but look if the three of us were sitting here in January guys and we're talking about a Detroit Lion Green Bay Packer championship game in the NFC that would not be a surprise to me when you look at the NFC and I look at the Atlanta Falcons what do you think about the moves that they just made with Justin Simmons at the safety position and also Matthew jadan well I would have liked to see an extension for Matthew judon I don't like giving up a third round pick on a one-year deal um and Justin Simmons to me you you got to be a little bit careful relative to what are we getting are we getting the Justin Simmons you know that had a really good career how much does he have left you know we saw a guy like Kevin Bard you know unfortunately kind of fall off somewhat precipitously so one of the things in the front office you have to be so careful of Harry is you know you you have to project what they're going to do not what they did do so I know some people crazy would overreact and put on shoulder pads and a helmet hypothetically but I know kn you Harry you were right down the middle took it in stride didn't overreact and you know want to want to see them produce first yeah it was the crazy thing about it like whoever put that helmet and shoulder pads on just crazy just keep stay remain levelheaded reason for all that excitement just unbelievable wow Freddy you see your pattern here we're talking about you know indulging in Jameson talking about overreacting here I think we we got a little bit of a pattern developing this is definitely the P call the kettle black version when it comes to Harry D Freddy com M tan bom joining us ESPN NFL front office insid on unfor you like on ESPN Radio we could have four rookie quarterbacks starting opening day we know B Nicks will start in Denver we know Cayla Williams will start in Chicago we know Jaden Daniel will start the Washington commanders potentially Drake may could be doing the same thing with the New England Patriots Mike which rookie quarterback is in the best position to succeed not only from day one but in the long term for the football team and why I go with Jaden Daniels just really believe in what Dan Quinn and Adam Peters are doing I think they're a little bit under the radar and in particular guys I like the Zack her signing the Austin Eckler signing look I know he's on the other side of the ball but the Bobby Wagner now again you got to pay those guys appropriately like we just talked about with a guy like Justin Simmons but in the for of years of his career for a guy like Jaden Daniels to have those sort of guys around along with a guy like Terry McLaren who's to me a Bonafide number one differen maker um I think this team like if we're talking about surprise teams around Thanksgiving that have a puncher chance for the playoffs I wouldn't be surprised if we're talking about the commanders and um my only concern is when you look at jayen Daniels and I said it at the draft I'll say it again you know those guys have to know when to slide and you just worry about his size you know similar with Caleb Williams because they're so good with the ball in their hands and they're so athletic but I think jayen Daniels throws a really accurate ball and to me he has all the skills to be a Frontline guy defensively you know we know what Washington has a really good defensive front you bring in a guy like Dan Quinn we know they're going to play well so I think Washington's a really intriguing team
