Rain on the way for Labor Day

for 3 all right good morning everyone let me pop myself up here happy Labor Day weekend I'm laboring all weekend so hopefully you aren't especially if you're at home watching this right now hey just a little by the way before I get into your weather forecast today I want to throw this up here you can download our free kin 5 app and you're probably listening to this or watching this from your phone phone so just either scan this OR go into your app store and you can download the app once again for free we've got all of our live shows on there news weather Sports traffic you name it we're going to have it on there so please download that I have it obviously on my phone too so let's get straight into it it's 77 right now honestly a stunning morning um and we'll say hello to some of you across the region here for of course hellus hello good morning everyone there including Bill Taylor 77 for you 70 in Bernie 71 for Bandera down south we're in the 70s I mean that's just obviously the common theme here so high pressure is going to start to break up a little bit into the second half of our day temperatures do climb into the mid 90s it's going to be fairly comfortable um but then rain chances do increase too so into Sunday and Monday those are going to be the highest chances that we have for rain this week in fact we have our weather impact alert bir days issued on Monday and Tuesday actually just because of that lingering rain we could see some pooling on the roadways and yeah funny enough on Labor Day that's when we have the highest chance for rain so get ready for that because we have a surface low you can see it right here just kind of pushing across the Plains and after that we're going to get some much needed rain I mean here's a look at your Saturday and still what's going on right now towards cizo Springs really down south we'll start to see a little bit of that activity push our way but it's not really going to end impact us here in San Antonio you might get a light shower a little bit of a Sprinkle but after that we start to clear out quite a bit uh and you know those rain chances don't look extremely probable for us today unfortunately unless you head to the Western portions of our area and as we advance into Sunday we do start to up it a little bit so we're at about 30% chance but a lot of that activity once again especially those isolated storms are going to be towards Del Rio the thing that's going to stay constant for us is those temperatures they just climb into the mid 90s Again mix of clouds and sunshine and then we crank up those rain chances into labor day so for the next s days when this is all said and done with I think this is being just a little bit generous here but we could see anywhere from an inch to an inch and a half towards Del Rio maybe even three or more inches of rain and that's when those heavy downpours come of course with those storms roll through so it's not just scattered we're just going to see some within those storm so to show you a better look at your Labor Day weekend here's what we've got right we've got 30% chance of rain tomorrow afternoon winds stay fairly light temperatures cool down a little bit Monday and Tuesday again we've got lower 90s on the board that'll feel nice and then 60% chance for rain for the second part of our day on Monday not bad at all and Tuesday Thursday excuse me when what comes after Tuesday oh my gosh don't worry I'm having my coffee so I'll be with it in a minute uh Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday that's when we start to see those those rain chances start to taper off linger a little bit into Friday good news is we keep those nice temperatures and the second part of our 14-day forecast looks pretty good we've got 90s on the board it turns a bit dry and sunshine okay I'm going to go way more in depth on your Labor Day weekend forecast on our newscast again in about 15 minutes so I hope to see you there and have a safe weekend be patient on the roads guys make sure everyone gets to where they need to go safely all right have a good one [Music]
