hey y'all hey it's me V CP scholar and I just watched the Deliverance on Netflix I was chilling on this Saturday watching all the true CRI shows I could handle um if you haven't checked them out um the worst wet X ever especially episode to stress my life but I told myself I was going to watch the Deliverance um who D was directed by Lee Daniels and it has Andre day Glenn Close I love you boo Mo'Nique K mofin Omar Andre new Ellis Anthony Jenkins Demi Singleton Miss Lawrence you know Lee D got to bring somebody from star and throw them up in there for no damn reason and Tasha Smith so what did I think about the movie oh if you on my YouTube channel at the CPS scholar I'm going to throw my initial reactions to the movie like as I was looking at it a couple of scenes from that but I'm going to talk about what I thought about the movie so I loved it I I enjoyed the movie a whole lot why because I am a uh fan of horror I am a black girl that loves horror I know they have a genre about that and I love the fact that they um they didn't skimp on the graphics they even pulled out the stranger things graphic like with the bones cracking and stuff but um unlike I hate to be pitting directors against each each other un like that mess the divorce in black or divorce in the black or whatever the heck it's called this had a plot from beginning to end the acting was Stellar I thoroughly enjoyed it even the kids even the kids was on point my favorite Andre day did her thing she she always does her thing she's beautiful to me she emotes you believe her as a struggling mother even though boy I said how many times they going say to call each other the b word and it be all super ratchet but um it's about a family that moves into a new house apparently when the movie starts they bring tension uh doom and fear they move into a new house obviously something is wrong with the family Dynamic um Andre day uh has a drinking problem and her kids are no worse for the wear they're they're tore up um the husband went to Iraq uh they broke up and they moved into this house in Pittsburgh and I forgot to say this on average Joe I have a special place in my heart for Pittsburgh because I stayed there for a little while I love progis I stayed in Squirrel Hill I Love the culture I love everything about the setting and because the type of um science person that I am I appreciate the architecture and the structural things there but so I love the setting but Andre day comes in she doesn't play She's a tough mother and she is a single mom only cu the dad left because she was on Shenanigans or whatever the kids look beat up they look whooped up um obviously they've had troubles because they have Mo'Nique is the um basically the DCF worker that come in let's give Mo'Nique a shout out to Monique and her outfits if Monique Ain G to do anything she gonna dress she gonna dress but Andre day was channeling freaking precious's mom which is Monique's charact character a little bit when she was getting wild I was like dude you need to chill out but she be putting hands on on the kids she drinks and then you have Glen Close who is her mother Glenn CL had that asymmetrical wigs that all the YT women have when they date the brothers with why Glen Close came in with her 27 piece of wig and her and her hot pink bra her leopard out leopard out F tearing up the scene and acting down why y'all got Glen Clos in here looking ratchet and crazy but still tearing up the movie and acting her behind off she Glen clothes um is it uh oh my God Jessica Lang and M Street you can't me tell me nothing about them but she comes in she's um Andre day's character's mom and she's uh fighting cancer so there's so many things going on with this family and while while they're in this house all of a sudden strange thing starts happening there's a there's different smells there's flies they finding dead animals the kids start acting up at school in like an Extreme Ways uh when that girl had her um cycle running down her leg for no reason one of little the the older brother was uh trying to drown a little brother little brother done took a dump in the middle of the of the school and threw it at the teacher um Houston we know something is is wrong but the whole time Mo'Nique is trying to take the kids away from um Andre D's character or whatever then and we see a new Ellis that's that's top for me she's top ever since I saw her in New York Undercover um she's creeping around and she's watching the family and they're thinking that she is a DCF worker as well but she turns out to be a prophetess so I'm not going to tell the whole movie but it it was in the vein of the ex ex IST and you guys know I like to give a story time within my video the first time I saw the Exorcist I was in school and somebody said oh it's the scariest movie ever and I was like n ain't all that I was sitting there watching the movie with my dude and baby when that girl came down the stairs backwards like a dang on Scorpion SL centipede it was I I still to this day can't really watch that movie all the way through but this is in the vein of that and they did a good job there was nothing bootleg or janky about it um so I appreciate that they did that thing on this movie but I definitely would give it I want to give it four out of five Smarties and it's so hard for me to do that not because it's not a good movie but a five is a classic but I would definitely watch it again it kept me entertained all the way through um even when Andre day's character was acting ratchet and beating up bullies and getting it turn turning up at parties and stuff you didn't like her but you knew that something might be wrong like something might be mentally wrong so you can't figure out if it's a true exorcism I mean a true demon that's in that thing or if it's the demons that we have inside um I really enjoy the religious element of it um I like how they uh show that demons can show up in different ways to torment you in your life or whatever and what you need to do uh to fight those demons to come out on the other side the movie had a religious me message I love how they they had Andre day's rendition of yesterday in the she killed that you know she know how to say but um let me see what did I miss Omars trying to get with Glenn Close it's almost as bad as I think the dude that plays in um burb box or whatever when he was with uh sandre Bullock I think she's a beautiful lady but baby it looked like a fine black man was trying to look holl at somebody that looked like Michael Jackson after he done did all the stuff to his skin that's what it looked like in Bird Box to me um but it wasn't that Vibe because guess what why did Omar EPs and Glen Close actually have chemistry on the screen it lowkey was believable anyways I loved it I enjoyed it um there's a couple of little holes in the story I was like I know me if the house would have been doing all that I wouldn't have been trying to fix up a thing I would have got the heck up out of there quick but obviously she ain't have the money to leave and to finish this video off apparently it was based on a true story and um the house um has been having weird things happened until they B bulldozed it in 2016 so this is based on a true story so so if you want to chill grab your popcorn sip a little wine maybe not cuz you you might be freak out cuz baby this was a true horror movie and I and I and I thoroughly enjoy that for myself um watch the Deliverance tell me what y'all thought about it in the comments I personally enjoyed it and a lot of the praying and stuff that was in there I recognized it uh so I'm familiar with it so I totally understood where she was coming from and what they were going through let me know what you think in the comments and what that that being said good job Lee Daniels I'm not going to compare you to Tyler Perry cuz you Netflix is just giving all out all the money to the uh to the black creatives and I'm here for it maybe one day you'll see one of mine my joints out there so uh shout out for even being able to put out a movie because that's a big thing with that being said love who loves you may God bless you with everything that you need and the CPS Scholars out I'm going throw those scenes at the end uh when I got excited about a couple
