we're less than 13 hours away until ESPN's college game day goes live on the University of Oregon campus the cast and crew have a lot to do before their early morning broadcast but they took some time to share what makes Eugene special for them K9 news reporter Lauren Miker talked to the show's host she's not live now on campus Lauren well Brian we've been showing everybody the setup of the crews being here since late Wednesday night but the talent just arrived this morning which means they're going to have to fight through some heavy jet lag for their early 400 a.m. wakeup call to the set here at ESPN's game day on the quad at the U ofo today the agenda was filled with production meetings and some last minute promo shoots in a press conference with us the local media both game day host Samantha steel and Desmond Howard have done this show plenty but what's different about Eugene is the wakeup call for us to start our show and it's pitch black outside you know but for the crowd to turn out the way that they have it's just been so impressive for us when we come out out on the golf cart at you know 4:00 or 5 a.m. and we've got people just losing their mind screaming I mean it's still it's an out of- body experience for me game day's two most visited West Coast towns are Eugene and La for USC and Desmond did add duck fans have the Trojans beat on crowd quality and they say that's what they're looking forward to they're counting on you early birds to get them going when they arrive on the set early early tomorrow morning the pit does open at 4:00 a.m. and I'll let you guys know there's already some people lined up here on the quad live in Eugene Laura micher ki9 news
