Bridgette matter has more now on the very disturbing trend. >> In the last month, nine threats against Broward County schools have been made, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office. >> They've now made nine arrests. The youngest and 11 year old BSO deputies, reminding everyone they will take those threats seriously. Nine juveniles have been arrested in Broward County, accused of making various threats against schools, most of the threats were made on social media platforms like Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram. The youngest suspect, an 11 year old who, according to BSO, threated a school shooting on Instagram against Central Charter School in Lauderdale Lakes on September 8th. >> I saw it on social media. I actually saw it on Instagram. >> Several students say they saw the threat on social media. >> They put us on lockdown for like two hours. That same day, another threat was made. >> According to detectives against Cooper City High School, there, a 15 year old confessed he threatened to shoot a classmate on WhatsApp. On August 10th, the FBI alerted police that a 13 year old boy made threats against the Broward County Public School offices on Snapchat because he was set over the new cell phone policy. These are just some of the schools named where police say threats were made. Cooper City High School, Central Charter School, Somerset Academy, Key Middle High School, North Broward Preparatory School, Blanche Ely High School, and the Broward County Public School offices.
