welcome to Reynolds Razorback Stadium where they have been calling the hog since early in the morning in anticipation of this showdown we have coming and while today is the final home game of the season for one team it is more importantly a celebration senior day as we'll see the winners of 10 straight the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs taking on a squad hoping to prevent another L this week the Arkansas Razer backs glad to have you with us for EA Sports college football I'm Rees Davis David Po and Jesse Palmer with me in the booth [Applause] got a first down for the offense takes a hand off it's Crosby running hard and getting six yds out to the 26 I know it's sexy to play the football but if you can pound it away and get these kind of gains they will just add up wear the defense down get first downs and ultimately get some points might be looking to run and this sophomore able to wreak some havoc and get the sack so already a challenge on this opening drive it's third and nine from the gun wants to pass unloads to the wide out catch in the middle it's Edwards and he gets it to the 44 yd line it'll be a first down the Bulldogs come to the line with a fresh set of downs he'll come out throwing on first down and he can't escape and down he goes man it didn't take long for the defense to get home on that play you see them playing man coverage in the back end slowing down the routes from the receiver in the rest of the offense that forced the quarterback to have to hold on to it for just a split second longer they were able to get the S good pick up on the ground and they'll Mark him down at the 39 I'm not positive but that first down marker might be in the next County on Third and long no secret what he needs here he's got it now they're really starting to threaten as they pick up the first down at the 34 y line and an early completion for this dude but you'll see a lot of that I mean he's been unreal this season like spreading the football around multiple guys every game you look up he's putting up huge numbers this offense is built around his ability to throw the football and that's why he's one of the best in all of college football and he runs it in for the score touchdown Louisiana TCH he doesn't need anything to be open he just makes it happen himself hey I'm going to call a pass you know I want to throw the ball down the field oh it's not open okay I'm just going to pull it down make it happen take it to the house what a scramble by the [Music] quarterback here comes the Louisiana Tech offense back onto the field David they love to do what they did last time and put this one in the end zone you ain't lying they did a great job the offense was clicking everything went well Palmer they execute and got the touchdown and they really were in a nice Rhythm as well and I'd love to see that here on the next drive to just keep doing what you're doing everything seems to be working and you seem to have this defense on their heel he steps and powers and works his way they finally get him down at the two defense trying to come up with a stop on second and goal snap it to the back and he takes it in for the score touchdown Bulldog that his 40th career touchdown run this guy's had a lot of success throughout his career but 40 touchdowns is something that's pretty commendable David he continues to challenge himself each and every game and every year to get better yeah just the consistency has been so impressive the offense is built around him like he's going to get the Louisiana has it back and the offense comes out ready to go to work Jesse looking to take it down the field for back-to- back touchdowns think it's really important for them moving forward too to have a lot of balance right you want to be able to keep this defense guessing call yeah and you got me searching for answers after that last drive you stack another drive on top of this their defense's heads are going to be spinning all over the place fires deep on the run and this is dropped incomplete pass he had a huge gain in his fingers and he couldn't hold on if they can convert here that type of play can really give you a shot of momentum he'll try to do it himself nice run there to keep things moving before they force him out of bounds and that's a pretty good job by this defense man it's so hard to limit poor starting field position here for this offense out of the shotgun they go to the ground gets it across the 10 a pick up of five and out of trouble to the 12 Halfway There on first down it's second and five he's looking to throw pocket starts to collapse he makes a catch and he surges up to the 36 yd line and they'll move the chain this offense is like running a Perfection drill in practice against air chunk play after chunk play and here they come again almost intercepted it'll fall incomplete the defense almost came up with a turnover after the quarterback and receiver failed to hook up they'll try it again on second down turns it on it Midfield B nozes his way through the express way is wide open TouchDown Louisiana Tech and once he got loose it was all over number Z coming into the game you look at the stats and you say top 10 offense in scoring so they better be able to create what explosive plays another explosive plays they've been doing it all year long those plays are back Breakers defenses just can't contain this offense here comes the Louisiana Tech offense back onto the field Jesse a very productive Drive last time wound up with a touchdown yeah mixing and matching play calling really well nice balance on that last one day we'll see what they can do here in this next Drive yeah and I don't expect anything different when you put together a drive like that I would do more of the same keep the pace keep it going give to the back he breaks a tackle he's up to 107 yds on the ground in just another day at the office for the national leader in rushing coming out on first down with the play fake he's finally stop but a big play there with his feet as he moves those sticks Louisiana Tech back to the line with a fresh set of downs after run run run now throw nice defensive play to get a hand in there and knock it away here comes the offense on second down well the defense just needs something positive to happen they're trailing in this game a turnover would be massive for momentum right now and a nice effort defensively getting a hand on the ball knocking it down and offenses want to continue to feature the Run they want balance even if it's not super successful you can take it little bit at a time just to keep that defense honest fires it down the seam and it slips through his fingers incomplete that would have been a huge gain if he could have squeezed it first and 10 from inside their own five you got to take care of the ball but there is room to take a shot here the give to the lone running back and I think they'll Mark him right at the line of scrimmage didn't help much with the breathing room but on the upside they avoided the safety from his in zone he'll go up top oh the Freshman lucky that one didn't get picked off this defense has kept them backed up now one more stop and they can get off the field on third and long they'll run it to the right side and sure tackling there to keep it from getting to the first down [Music] marker here's this offense with a fresh set of downs 691 G he wants to throw grabbed in the back field it's Crosby didn't pick up B there moving it Forward just a few guys out of the back field now is not just run the ball down ear anymore you got to be veral I got to be able to trust you in the pass game and I got to be able to throw you the football you can do that right there I know you're going to catch it and I can depend on you still running up the 40 he's loose and there they go again with another huge gain on the ground he's finally run out of bounds and that play there is essentially a microcosm of why this guy is the leading rusher in the nation and why he's in contention with the Heisman Trophy this guy's got speed open field running ability he can break tackles he can just do it all they don't seem interested and inching the ball down the field that big play sets him up first and 10 from the 36 looking to scramble got his man downfield and he's knocked down but not before moving the chains just inside the Red Zone first and 10 from the 19 first for theck trying to cap this drive with a pass he's got it and still on his feet gets out of bounds after the big play and they'll be set up in business with a first and goal new seter Downs right on the doorstep for this offense off the play fake on first down wants to throw touchdown Louisiana t and they add six more to the board with that trip to the house and the offense continues to run the football the second rushing touchdown from the running back the offensive line paven holes continue to feed this man the ball Louisiana Tech has it back and the offense comes out ready to go to work these two defenses have had their head spinning here in the first half and now we might even see a little more scoring with this drive it's going back and forth this is like two heavy weights just trading blows David what do this defense got to do to get a stop here I tell you what man when you're giving up points like this and you've got no momentum you got to find somebody that can make a play to create some and listen if you're if they're scoring anyways let's be aggressive let's Blitz more let's let's make sure we're making them feel discomfort in some way shape or for and they're able to shove him to the Turf as they stop him for a short gain it'll take some work to get to the sticks it's third and long from the 30 from the gun wants to pass they get to him as he throws that pass is well off Target he got hit as he was trying to throw and they can't convert on line gets set first down 55 he'll start this drive firing he rifles one deep down the middle and that'll be incomplete man that would have been a big hitter on first down but second Down's coming up couldn't make the connection last time let's see if they throw it again they'll try the right side not much doing there he gets it to the 26 a gain of one somebody needs to make a play here it's third and long from the 26 from the gun wants to pass now he's going to break the pocket fights off a Defender and he's not going to get there the defense Stands Tall and makes the stop here comes the Louisiana Tech offense back onto the field this has been a track me running up and down the field so far Jesse it's amazing for this offense right score a touchdown go try to get snatches It On the Run and a pick up of better than 30 yards on that completion before the defense brings him down throws a nice completion there for a first down this guy has been the biggest key to this team's success all season long he has shown up in big moments he's won big games he's putting up big numbers and that's why he's in the discussion to win the Heisman Trophy they just dialed up one big play Let's see if they've got another one on First and 10 from the 35 used the play fake now to throw he's not afraid to go deep he makes a catch in the end zone touchdown Bulldog well this offense is top 10 in the country in points per game because they've got a lot of speed and they've got home run hitters they score fast they don't need 10 plays to go down the field you saw it right there they've recruited well they've got Playmakers they are going to be a problem for defenses all year long Louisiana Tech has it back and the offense comes out ready to go to work that last Drive really productive David wound up with a touchdown they'll try to do it again yeah so I don't expect this offense to change too much just broke the tackle and still on his feet he's brought down but there's a flag on the field let's see which way that's going to go defense and the defender just way too handsy on that last play you could see all the contact as the ball was in the air you simply can't do it in the referee's CAU they're going to open this drive with a pass rifles it down the middle and how about that DB getting a hand in there and forcing the incomplete pass after the misfire now on second [Applause] down off play action fires on the Move got his man to the left and he was loose and in the open field and on his way a tremendous pick up on that one now a first down from the 45 yd line they go to the ground and a good solid pick up for the defense Cuts him down after the productive first down play it's second and six [Applause] here we go out of the gun the inside hand off looking for a crease open space at the 25 and they'll finally bring him down after he rips off a huge play then obviously this guy's been hyped up and we've talked about him in the highing race what do you have to do you got to finish strong the voters are watching what you do at the end of the season awesome opportunity put together a 100 yard game last week put some stats up get a bunch of touchdowns you know really finish strong so you can get in that Heisman race and maybe go win that big [Applause] trophy and he has vexed this defense with scramble after scramble has another first down so so close to cashing it in for this offense let's go here's the snap looking to throw touchdown Louisiana Tech and they take it in for six Four Points the identity of this offense is their ability to run the football they're doing that in this game that's now three rushing touchdowns on the [Music] day here comes the Louisiana attack offense back onto the field boy David they would love to stack another touchdown on top of that last drive and this offense did such a good job on the last Drive everything in Rhythm moved the ball down the field didn't make those mistakes Jesse and they need to do it again on this one yeah you're right they had the defense on their heels you wonder what sort of communication was going on that sideline what sort of changes can anyone catch him he's at the 20 and he slipped through the crowd and Hill House it touchdown Louisiana TCH L man I am a great play caller when I can hand it to guys like that and he can go that far to the house create big plays showed you a little bit of vision showed you a little bit of burners when he kicked it in gear and got the long touchdown run [Music] on the and the offense takes the field eager to go back to work 25 they'll start this drive with the pass dances away to BU time got him downfield and he is marked out of bounds after another big game this aerial attack has had no problem moving the ball with chunk PL they'll throw it on first down he'll heave it deep and it's caught inside the 15 you wouldn't talk about Shifting the field in an instant he's got it all the way down to the 10 yd line and this offense is built around this dude I mean he is Sensational he's been so fun to watch like play pitch and catch spread the ball around complete and total command of the offense and that's why he's putting up big numbers and that's why he's got a real chance to go to New York and try to win that Heisman trophy so after the huge chunk play they've got it first in goal from the 10 he's looking to throw it touchdown Bulldogs and the beat down has ensued that's what finishing the deal looks like build the lead in the fourth quarter and close in on 11 straight victories there's no mercy rule in college football man they've got a huge lead here in the fourth quarter they are still chucking it and they are still scoring [Music] Louisiana Tech has it back and the offense comes out ready to go to work this has been exactly the way you draw things up David the offense has really been moving the football and it's been great execution they've done exactly what they've wanted to do build the lead now Palmer's a different animal now you got to protect you can tell they were paying attention in practice this week in the film room because they have gone out every body right now on the same page they get him on the ground but it's a first down big reason why his team has the lead right now late is because of his performance running the football well over a 100 yards in this game they knew that they were going to have to really put a lot of pressure on him he'd have to shoulder the load and he has delivered for his offense all game long they've avoided the interception all day but they were lucky to get that one back here late it'll be second down the play action fake slings it downfield finds a man on the left makes the grab over the defense and they are threatening now down at the 15 Louisiana Tech is really moving the football off play again he's looking for a man on second Down On The Run fires down field he got his hands on it but couldn't hold on to it what a time that would have been for their first pick of the game they line up and it is a long way to the sticks from here he took a hit as he threw it and couldn't deliver the football it's incomplete and fourth Down's coming nice shot on first down here comes this offense come on he's going to pass going downfield for the big play and the DB right with him to knock it away after the incompletion it's second and 10 from their own 25 I'm a little bit surprised we're still throwing the football here this late in the game with this kind of lead they're on first down taking a shot Falls incomplete but it's complete a huge pickup plenty of room on that play and they find their way to the 36 defense just hasn't had an answer for this guy he has been on point this is about as good as I've seen him play at the quarterback position and here in the fourth quarter with a big lead he's still taking shots to the air on first down fires to the tight end and the defense settled in to stop that one for a short game they'll run this play from the pistol cut it cut it second Down Easy looking to throw it again now adjusting he'll pull it down and Run Quick Step and go and it's on the ground defense coming up with a huge fumble recovery and he's brought down and this defense gets the ball back forto and he was under so much stress on that play you saw him scrambling trying to buy time doing everything he can to keep the play alive but the defense just kept coming in waves and he got a little bit downfield before they finally knocked it out and jumped on that [Music] [Applause] fumble here comes the Louisiana Tech offense back onto the field 55 weak the give as they work on that clock I I know exactly what I have to do here defensively we' got to get the stop so we're playing run we're selling out to run because we're thinking they're going to run the football and we got three timeouts let's use them wisely let's use those timeouts save as much clock as we can so our offense has some time on the clock to do some damage when they get the football back third down conversions are a huge stat and this one would be a doozy if they can pull it off Jo the arm strength to the left can't make the play on the interception and man they were looking for their first pick of the game instead it'll be fourth down and the offense out on the field to go back to work Yankee blue Yankee blue wants to throw on first down off the play fake oh he's ready to take a shot oh and he gets downfield for the big catch touchdown Louisiana TCH and once he found some daylight it was time to make a house call you can see it on the sideline they've built a comfortable fourth quarter lead and they know they're going to go 11 and0 and this offense continuing to put up points this game's Out Of Reach you know you're going to win but still throwing the football still finding that connection I imagine they'll be some plenty of fireworks in this one a lot of points they always talk about having the chalk last and it seemed like whoever was on offense had the last La it's amazing how much offenses has just bomed in college football so good so many ways to hurt you and you saw both of these offenses put on the show today Jess Dave we talked to both of these coaching staffs and their defensive coordinators were losing sleep all week they knew this was going to be a tough task ahead of them so much speed so much Firepower on both of these offenses
